Make Your Own Sheet Bag & Winch Cover Kit for Sailboats

Introducing the Sailrite Sheet Bag & Winch Cover Kit. This sew-it-yourself kit includes the materials and patterns to make two sheet bags and two winch covers. Sheet bags feature SuperShok™ Bungee Cord which is the world’s best UV and weather-resistant shock cord. The sheet bags come with YKK® Snad® fasteners so you can install them without drilling holes in your fiberglass. The sheet bags feature Phifertex® mesh for great breathability and drainage. Both sheet bags and winch covers are also made using Sattler® solution-dyed Marine Grade Acrylic fabric for extra-long life.

I made winch covers from the old kit. Interesting that these newer winch covers use a lighter strength (smaller diameter) shock cord in the choker and the shockcord is tied, not sewn into place... One of the issues I have with my winch covers is that you need to have the strength of The Hulk to stretch the choker over the winch top and around the self-tailer line groove...
