I have been using segway max g2 for 2 month now, in snowy, cold weather too of -10, now in wet rainy weather, no issues so far, no charging issue, great frontal suspension, the 2 at the back are awesome, great hill climbing, great American quality, even though manufacturered in China, I love the scooter!
3 months now for me n it’s not charging now.
sending her back this week to Segway ohhhh as well speed 22 mph drops at %50 power what a JIP.....
Love your videos! The Ninebot Max G2 has fixed the melting phase wires, they are no longer plastic bullet connectors.
Yeah, that was changed with redesign of phase connectors on controller. Now same are used on Wolf King GTR and Inmotion RS. Hopefully more manufacturers will follow. Thank you for wstching and for your comment and support.
Inmotion RS also has a steering damper issue, many reports of of them coming broken from factory including my friend's RS.
Thank you for info. I might do video just about Inmotion. Just waiting to see will there be more problems with them.
@@escootIreland Sounds good. Unfortunately the RS is a bit strange, it's a dual stem scooter so it shouldn't require a steering damper anyways but it wobbles very badly at over 70kph with the broken damper that I'm unsure if Inmotion has addressed yet. There's going to be multiple new Inmotion scooters in the future as well (RS Lite, S2, RS Mini and RS Mini Lite) so let's hope the new ones have the issues fixed.
This video came to my attention because of my segway max g2 has charging problems. I've owned it for less than a year and now it will only charge like 6% and then stop. I would not recommend this scooter even though it is very fun to ride.😢
Is iscooter a good brand? Or is it the same as kugoo, I've been thinking about iscooter ix6 or 5
Ive never worked on them so I really dont know whats the quality on them.
Winter is a big problem for eltric scooter hehe
Hello, I haven't had any problems with the charger so far. On the other hand, since I can go at 35km/h, I notice strange noises with the rear motor drive from 32Km/h onwards. It's as if the gears are jumping from time to time, and there's a vibration (or maybe it's a big problem with the magnetic brake?). It's very unpleasant!
Have you noticed this for those who have an American ctrl?
Another hypothesis: given that we're limited in Europe to around 25 km/h, maybe they're delivering us their less reliable engines?
I also find Segway's policy of zealously blocking any software debriding on speed really pathetic. It's a bit like Bosch, who are waging a war on unbridling their engines to the point of monitoring our speeds on the course and limiting bikes to 10kmh to punish the guilty! But what right do they have to do that? If it's a question of warranty, it stops if you touch the engine system, so stop pissing off their customers!
For that reason alone, those who haven't bought these scooters should go for brands that respect their customers' choices.
It's a shame, because they make really innovative scooters.
If there is noice coming from any wheel I would first check bearings and bolts/nuts. If there is any play in any direction then it might be bearings of mounting nuts/bolts. I might make video about it.
G2 max is a great electric scooter. I've had it for 5 days and ridden it over 70km. I love the top speed of 35kph and feels like I am riding on a cloud. Don't have any problem with front suspension but wish it wad adjustable. Rear was adjusted to stronger cause I am heavier rider. Have set it up perfect in the app to my needs.
I can't wait to get mine! It is super modable. I'm planning to get a front and rear Shark Sett suspension for it, Dual motors (up to 55mph!), and an upgraded 72volt battery for double the range!
@donaldtrump4977 is this upgrade for the g2 max? I'm happynfor you and each person had different desires. I personally would leave it stock tho. It is easy to carry around as is and the suspension and power in the motor is good enough for a 100kg rider like me. Only trouble you will find is if the hill is very steep. Love how portable, nimble and lite the g2 max is, and this is coming from someone who lifts 20kg dunbels on their work out. Anything over 25kg would really be pushing it for me.
@@arkhamkillzone Yes the G2 is just a revamped version of the Ninebot Max and has the same body, etc. I understand it seems a little ridiculous to turn a scooter like this into a powerhouse instead of just buying one, but the G2 with its turn signals and built in charger are the reason i'm going this route. Its going to be a sleeper build just for the fun of it.
I'm definitely going to put a bunch of miles on it before I mod it. I understand that adding all this stuff will make it less carryable, but even if it was 100 lbs I could still get it up at least one set stairs.
I plan to mod a Xaiomi m365 scooter for my portable carry anywhere scooter.
@donaldtrump4977 that sounds cool man. All the best with your future plans. Yes it's a good idea to ride it stock for a while and see how you like it. For me I can't mod it cause it wouldn't be street legal her in Australia. Over there you might have more lenient rules on this. Also if ita not so much for city riding then it probably wouldn't hurt to upgrade the g2. The design of the g2 is sweet tho I agree. The signals etc all work well. To me it reminds me of a nimbus 2000 from Harry potter lol.
will you say the G30P is more reliable than G2?
It's hard to say because G30 models are on the market much longer than G2. Time will tell, but G30 models are brilliant, and G2 seems pretty good, too, except for these charging problems on some models. It might just be a bad batch.
after 800 milers its shit max my steering column fell on its own and it rattles like a baby rattle
So sorry to hear that. I heard that there are some problems with forks and front suspension. Ill address that in my next video about max G2. Thank toy so much for info.
Biggest Problem: currently no shfw 😄
Watch you think about dualtron popular in terms of reliable.
I need to check it out and I might do video about it. It seems interesting. Not too crazy about design but I like dual motor in such a small size.
@@escootIreland thanks for the answer.
