WHATS THE NAME OF THIS SONG😩😩
You should do like a 2 hour live stream where you create, record, and rough mix a record from scratch.
facts
I would like that no lie
yes!
Tyler Jackson I would legit cry
Still waiting on this.
man your muddy vocals sound better than my final mix 🤣
been playing with subtractive EQ for a while but it kinda makes things even worse most of the times for me (voice starts sounding too robotic / radio like / has too much / little treble). practice makes perfect i guess, thanks a lot for the video (love your music by the way)
How's your music now
yall peasants be living in the room while this guy can hear the room lmaoooo
Spiky_haha underrated comment 😂😂😂
@@SmooveYBM lmaooo

Spiky_haha i have a room album check it out😂 it’s titled YBMSMOOVE “EVERYBODY BLEEDS”
I did what you taught here and went to bed. Next morning I listened to my vocals with and without the EQ and it's simply two worlds apart. Thank you so much legend!

you literally clicked so many pieces in my head for me thank you so many times a dozen man, spreading the greatness of your intelligence!
Been watching EQ vids for a week and this is the best one yet. To the point, talent, brains and not half padded with bla bla bla.

Amazing Devon! Thanks a lot man
I really liked your explanation!
Thanks man, Super appreciate this. I'm recording in a really small room with a condenser mic and I feel like a lot of low end frequencies stack because I also have a fairly deep voice. I'm gonna try these techniques out!
The GOAT. This just helped me so much
Man you are a beast at teaching
Thanks Devvon, spot on
this was very helpful ! love your tutorials
Beautiful explanation
You are an absolute God at mixing and, as if that wasn't good enough, your music is platinum-level. Shiiiiiit

94 Jordan 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great videos man keep up the good work.
I found this very helpful Devvon
Great tips .. even on another platform (GB), use the same principals with frequency EQ, isolate reduce. Thanks...
Love your works !!! From Vietnam
How do you only have 18k subs? This video literally saved my life thank you!
Devvon - GOAT
I record in my bedroom, minor acoustic treatment (microphone blue bird sl). Bro you do exactly what I do, but I learned this technique on my own. I make the subtract bands a little thicker to take out more bad frequencies, but be careful not to take out too much it will make your vocals too thin. mainly have bad frequencies between 300-600hz / 800-1000hz / 2000-3200hz & 6000-8000hz
Wish I seen this sooner but aye it’s all apart of learning especially in the music career. I greatly appreciate your videos my guy. I use allot of your techniques and guides to get the results I want. I wish you had more subs cause you definitely deserve it! Plus this is the first video I commented on. Could you make a video on how to equalize your vocals with the beat so one track is not overlapping another as well for back end vocals for that special sound? I can quite figure it out. I’m professional on mobile editing but got a PC and it’s heck of a lot different than I expected it my guy. Especially for recording vocals I can’t get my normal sound I do on mobile. Because the way the music daws on PC completely processes it in such a different manner you have to be more Keen and harder on your vocal tracks than you do on mobile. It’s just spot of different factors and I would love to learn more. Thank you!
Yo big thanks and props to you for all the information you give on mixing and mastering on CZcams. Your advice has done wonders for me. A video on mixing things miscellaneous things like a beat tag, chants, crashes, open hats, percs, risers and other fx's, or even audio of some person speaking which is apart of the song (not vocals) would be great! Also a video on mixing sample based melodies for example from soundtracks (the type you download from youtube) and how to make them fit with vocals and drums being their already mixes and mastered. Those are some suggestions on video ideas that's love to see. Thanks again!
So I was following all your techniques and I ended up having to scrap the project because I realized I didn’t properly gain stage, I was clipping on s many tracks and I had no idea because my post fader didn’t say so. A video on gain staging and pre fader metering would help a lot of people out including me, how you managing your overall levels for your tracks before and during the mixing process when you add plugins to not clip also you said you used a limited while mixing, so how you level match that with your reference track or general monitoring levels for when mixing to not be tricked by loudness or accidentally come in too hot like I did lmao. Long one but I feel this is important
Super happy you made this video. Can you also make a video on vocals that sound too high or tinky? I'm a Male vocalist but my range is in the high tenor alto range and falsetto is a good technique for me. But this leads to some issues with the highs
thank you so much this was very helpful
Your channel is extremely helpful and you bodies that "Blue Faces"
super helpful. thanks bro.
I love your tutorials! I definitely implement your techniques in my mixes. But do you have other tutorials mixing rap rap vocals? Other than autotune singy rap? I’m sure this applies to both but I would love to hear that as well!
been doing this with Waves q10, but might have to start doing it in F6 now! THX!
Another awesome video!!! One request though: you are obviously producing, mixing and mastering at a very high level. Would it be possible for you to provide a brief summary (at the end of the video) of what you did. Keep the videos coming. I’m learning a ton!! 👍🏾 Cheers!!
What kind of headphones u use ? Your mix is amazing
That song tuff. Good look for the tutorial as well.
Very good job.
Always Helpful!! Please make a tutorial on How to use Autotune Correctly for both Lead and Background vocals.
Find the key of your instrumental.
The key with auto tune is to use the graphical mode. It will take more time but you’ll get much more natural results and it allows you to paint the pitch of a vocal like a painting
Thanks guys, but I would still like a tutorial... And I know you will both be watch if or when he makes one because his auto-tuned vocals are dope
neol07707 the key is to find the key. Lol
CPX ENGINEER I feel ya bruh like Jimmy Douglas says his auto tune technique is sing it again bitch lol. That being said auto tune can still be very useful when it is not abused
Thank you so much!
Thanks for your videos
Bro you’re the best informational engineer in the world bro
Dope mixing
great tutorial man . I think you should have showed the sweeping method it self than place your points and delete the frequencies . It would have made it pristine . Thanks for the tutorials bro , you rock !
Thanks from Russia man! Great tutorial!
True blessing Thank you
The video I was looking for
you're a legend bro
Thanks for this!!! Do you think these bothersome frequencies would be visible in a high-res spectral view of the audio? Did you ever try using that, too?
Nice info man thank you👊🏼 by the way im lovin that beat
You explained better than anyone on youtube bruh.
Can you do a tutorial How to Set up auxes, sends , how to route them to buses and record automation effects? Starting from when you first open a mix session ?
Love your channel bro. . Very educational
Patrick Nicolas thank you very much
Thank you!
always thx. I hope you to let me know what is short delay, short reverb, long delay, long reverb and why those are needed.
I'm definitely doing something wrong.
Your raw vocals sound clearer and better than my mixed vocals.
My raw vocals sound like I recorded through a can
Dawg!!! You’re super dope man
Thanks man!!
Hey Devvon I love your videos! And I really like how your 808s in "She's a dub" get that extra saturation and body in the hook. How did you achieve that?
I watch a lot of mixing videos and one thing I can say, there is more than one way to do it. It's all about the ears and how the music sounds. Dope video. Can you do anything about mouth noise? You have some in this example. They stand out to me because I have the same problem at times. Is it mic proximity/levels, mixed with room noise?
very good tuutorial ...
Thank you so much
Thanks for the tutorial. Does it matter which order you put it on. I usually do that first then everything else
