What does it mean to 'take full responsibility' for the "biggest failure in decades" - and not resign?
She's claiming she only committed nonfeasance and completely refuses to acknowledge her malfeasance in this incident. She is too old to be reminded of the command triangle that must have been explained to her many times. The command triangle includes authority, responsibility and accountability. The accountability of any leader in this incident is to resign and apologize to those whose lives have been catastrophically changed. She doesn't even know the rules of this political game she's been appointed to play. Quite a lackluster human being.

And what difference would it make in the first place how the information was relayed by the crowd to the officers. Bottom line, IT WAS RELAYED. My God. Fire her!
The point is that ordinary citizens saw and identified the threat. Why didn't highly paid, extensively trained, professional body guards see it? It's not about information being "relayed". Do your job and you don't have to depend on average citizens.

The director is SUBORDINANT to the oversight committee, ESPECIALLY while speaking under oath and subpoena. If you acted like her in court - especially Infront of a jury - you would be ROYALLY SCREWED. The fact that she hasn't been fired by the current administration tells you everything... If the roles were flipped between Trump and Biden, and then Trump didn't fire the head of the SS, I would be just as pissed. Realistically if the roles were actually reversed the left would have rioted in the streets until the director of SS was fired....
