It's hard to get dolls in the UK for me, so I can't even begin to imagine what it's like in other countries. I feel so bad for people watching ANY doll series and not being able to buy any of the merch.
Yeah due to how slow UK seem to be getting the New MH dolls (or maybe due poor sales as some of the Core group have dropped from £30 to 24 in some shops is why they are slow to get new ones 🤔) Been wanting to get our hands on Twyla and Toralei for some time now (more so Twyla, especially after the release of the Creepover episode and the Animated music video)...and were not gonna pay £50-60 from amazon UK...price hike much... so caved and ordered her from US ($2O + $10 for shipping and import) Also anyone notice how random Nickelodeon seems to be with episode times and dates + paramount+ listing 13 episodes but only have 10 and two are misstitle (ie "Pyramid schemes" plays Watzzi...

Honestly I was so disappointed that they discontinued Monster High cause I never got to get Jackson, when I heard they were bringing it back I was so excited then I realised they were changing all of the designs anyway so I've just been scouring the Internet for Jackson dolls.

I feel like the biggest thing they could have done, which is causing most of their issues is to not reinvented the dolls that we knew in love from years past but instead create a whole new series of dolls that are based on similar monsters or even new monsters and mythology we haven't looked at. That way, you can still have the same original ghouls that everybody loves, but maybe just not put them out as much. Gen. 3 could literally be a 3rd generation of monsters instead of Gen. One but done differently, like most of the dolls aren't bad, but they just aren't them. That way, you can have as much fun as you want with race, ethnicity, color palate appearance, and will only see them as new dolls.
Yes, I wish they did it the same way MLP was done (new gen new characters). Omg and maybe having Ghoulia as a professor at Monster High would've been so nice if they ever wanted an homage to the original series
@butasimpleidiotwizard I don't have any problem with race. It's just how it came out. Many of the characters are based off of very specific ethnic groups, and a lot of the times people are changing those to make things more diverse instead of just writing new characters who portray these ethnicities. All I'm saying is that instead of trying to change what's already there? Makes something new, that's good.
@@butasimpleidiotwizard To be fair they changed Lagoona from being indigenous Australian to being Latina. That wipes out G1's entire backstory, her family, her upbringing, values, etc., all things that G2 kept. At that point G3 Lagoona is just a different monster with the same name
I don't think they would that well in such form tbh. People are crazy about G3 because they see their favourite childhood characters returning, yes they look different but these are the same characters they loved for years. Fans also eagerly wait for some of the less well known G1 characters to make a G3 appearance because nostalgia is super strong and G3's success owes a lot to that nostalgia

I want to see more quantities of dolls available. Mattel Creations has totally deleted the listings for Boo Riginal and Reel Drama dolls like they never even existed. So many people including myself were not able to get either most of them or none of them at all. People have been begging for these dolls to come back and it's obviously not happening :( There are other dolls people have wanted so badly and they just do not make enough of them. More quantities will make all the collectors happy instead of people either never getting them, or having to spend way too much money from resellers :(
Trying to get me and my daughter the howliday Dracula 2022 was a nightmare and I'm in the USA. So many were bought from Mattel and price hiked. I've got a busy life I'm a caregiver and artist so even getting emails about new merch I'm always behind feels so unfortunate for our shared love of MH being destroyed by greed.
Mine is 100% a first world problem. My boys Jackson and Holt have been wronged so much over the years but in their dolls especially. Holts looks ok but they always make Jackson look like a 35 year old frat boy cosplaying as a nerd instead of the nice but awkward, slightly geeky kid he really comes across as in the animation. That might be my first attempt at a custom doll, a better Jackson doll and maybe one where it’s like half Jackson half Holt, split down the middle.
I want the dolls to b more accessible , I tried to get the new bratz that had came out and swear that they weren’t in stores so sooooo fast, I don’t know where all their dolls went

When I collected action figures I figured out how to gain access to all the rare ones, misprints, limited edition, and most wanted. Have the Toys R Us manager for a roommate! Worker great! 😅 My husband of 5 years is 52 and I found out the other day that in his 20’s he managed one as well!
Alrightttttt so I'm in Israel and you can order the dolls to here but like each doll is like 60 and thats the cheapest ones.for more expensive ones they're like 90 which is CRAZY for a DOLL.
I can say that i finally got the G3 clawdeen doll but it was the budget version, i am happy i got her but the SHOCKING part is that she is idk 15$ in the US but i got in Europe for 52€ and dollars and euros have basically the same value so i am pretty upset about the 15$ to 52€ price rise
And that's just for the basic dolls, playsets and special editions can cost twice that. The prices we have to pay suck, especially when you factor in shipping.

Mattel needs to do a fan club sign up and then a lottery system for their special releases. All the Stevie Nicks Barbie’s were decimated online the second- literally second- they went on preorder. Bots got the vast majority. They were up on EBay for hundreds of dollars before they were even mailed out.
Fun fact: I used to go on illegal websites too geht monster high dolls bc they where banned in Germany only to have the police show up to my doorstep ( mind you I was like 6 or 7)

One thing I'd like to see change in the doll community besides the availability of dolls is I'd really like to see less beefing between fandoms going on because I watched 2 people end a 7 year friend ship because they were arguing about wich monster high generation is better than it made me kind of sad

I want to change the fact that they have no stomachs! They never have like a muffin top or anything that's not completely smooth. Monster High made different body types, but they are all flat stomachache. You rarely get those thighs without a stomach.

I live in the Netherlands and it’s a very small country and I’ve only seen 1 mind you 1 toy store that had monster high dolls and it’s only the original cats not the others. I’ve been to 50 more toy stores all trough the country and did not find a single monster high doll :(
Me being in the states and a lot of my family being in Mexico. The best way for them to get the dolls that we have is by sending them over there. The quality of the dolls in most countries aren't the best. It's easier to obtain accessories like tables houses there than a doll.
Something i wanna see changed is scalpers in the monster high community ruining it for everyone or even collectors who feel they need to buy multiples of products that they know are hard to get and others have expressed struggling to find. I’m all for buying as many dupes as you want of dolls on shelf that everyone can get but when collectors or scalpers buy a tone of a doll no one else can get they make it more exclusive hard to get seen more rare and contribute to the problem. (Unless and only unless your buying a dupe of a hard to get doll for a friend cuz then everyone still gets one.)
i want and need monster high to go back to it's alternative style, the new style is cute sure, but it's more focused on in fashion rather than alternative style people still get bullied for.
In Spain we get the dolls really late. I think 1-2 years passed since G3 released and we just got them in march. We only have the basic and first wave of the locker line
just now in brazil the g3 dolls are available and they're sooooo expensive,I'm planning on getting them but I'm gonna have to save they are 300R$ (its like 62 US dollars) its so expensive for a doll😭😭 Just for reference here's some prices: the most basic one that only comes with a purse is 140R$ the "normal" one with more than one outfit is 300R$ and the one with lots of surprises is 350R$ and a normal barbie is about 110R$ 😭

we can't get any of dolls in iran, even when i was a kid and everything was a little better it was so hard to find the dolls only sometimes we use to saw MH dolls so randomly and it was so rare but these days you can't find any of them but some shop have some rainbow high dolls but it's so expensive something like 40m Rial or even more sometimes it get to 60m rial:)) it's the same for Barbie dolls too
I’m sick of the new Barbie dolls bodies not being able to properly fit into the older doll clothing. I also wish they’d go back to the dolls that had the moving arms and legs yes they have made to move dolls but they could put those bodies underneath the rubber to make it feel like she has bones and we wouldn’t see the weird joins!
My daughter was much lighter myself I didn’t care much for Barbies she’s always had a bit of a dark side lol but monster high was always her favorite she kept a few of her original dolls but unfortunately sold a lot when she thought she was too old for them but now at 23 I’ve had to start buying her some more back that are of course put on display and are never to be touched… lol. I’m so thankful that my mother kept a lot of my dolls from when I was little again I didn’t do the Barbies because I was born with only one hand so it made it kinda hard for me to really play with them but when they got into the bigger dolls as far as cabbage patch kids I have some original ones from 19 8384 and so on oh I think I just spoke with my age there..lol
I collect only rainbow high and I am from Bulgaria. Most of the dolls available in the toy stores, but shadow high are not(which makes me sad, because I want them so bad), except for neon shadow, because they have a pop of color. Something that is good for collecting from stores in Bulgaria is that they are not so popular in here which cool because here you can basically you can go in any store and buy every single doll from series 2 up, so if you don't have enough money to buy them(I am in school an don't have a job) I can wait because the dolls are not gonna be sold out and they even would have a discount so its not that bad in Bulgaria for doll collectors in here, but I only collect rainbow high so its not the same as everyone.(We don't have monster high G3 so I am sorry for my friend from here that have to purchase them online, but it seems that the stores here are not gonna sell anything that is not looking like human being) And we have a LOT of Kia Hart!!! I don't know if she is very hard to find in your country there are so many of her here its absurd. And she is on a discount in every shop I check. If someone doesn't have her and if she is very expensive second-hand just come for a holiday here in Bulgaria in the Capital for one or two days and grab her. Its worth it especially If you are in to history, this place is OLD. There are so many thing you can check out for free and have fun. I wish they were more diverse. fat dolls, trans dolls, disabled dolls, androgynous dolls, indian dolls, WHERE ARE THEY?! doll companies will make mermaid dolls, furry dolls, zombie dolls, but making them diverse? that's where they draw the line. it's so disappointed
I specifically put pressure on Indian dolls rather than saying diverse races broadly because I have never seen an Indian doll that wasn't considered a monster hybrid and although I myself am not Indian I completely understand how sad it is that little kids aren't seen dolls that represent their culture
I'd like to see more disabled dolls, as know monster high does have a few but no where near the level of representation that is needed. If 50% of people have a disability, that's the representation, I'd like to see dolls that just happen to have insulin pumps, or for monster high, oxygen masks, I love that frankie is sort of an amputee, and the mermaid in a wheelchair. Just always wanna see more. I still haven't found a doll I see myself in.
£40 in UK and seemingly exclusive in shops to Smyths, and we only have draculaura, Cleo and Frankie, no Lagoona or Clawdeen... and if I recall US has two verisnts of the Skulltimate. Attest I've seen an Alt outfit for Cleo..

Less hollow plastic and less articulation in dolls. These have made dolls limbs flimsy and also makes the dolls cheap and ugly and break easily.
I just miss the old designs
I feel like for me I want to see more normal collector dolls with different normal hair colors sort of like how Rainbow high does the rainbow hair

Me being in the states and a lot of my family being in Mexico. The best way for them to get the dolls that we have is by sending them over there. The quality of the dolls in most countries aren't the best. It's easier to obtain accessories like tables houses there than a doll.

In AU, we have them in Target but our Target is nothing like yours. If they’re not regularly purchased, they won’t be on shelves
Something i wanna see changed is scalpers in the monster high community ruining it for everyone or even collectors who feel they need to buy multiples of products that they know are hard to get and others have expressed struggling to find. I’m all for buying as many dupes as you want of dolls on shelf that everyone can get but when collectors or scalpers buy a tone of a doll no one else can get they make it more exclusive hard to get seen more rare and contribute to the problem. (Unless and only unless your buying a dupe of a hard to get doll for a friend cuz then everyone still gets one.)

As an australian we get playline dolls 1-4 months late

I want them to bring the original bratz and my scenes back I grew up on both of them and they’ve changed them so much drastically
Well actually Bratz came back last year with reproductions of the original dolls and some collectors one and they're still going
i want and need monster high to go back to it's alternative style, the new style is cute sure, but it's more focused on in fashion rather than alternative style people still get bullied for.

In Spain we get the dolls really late. I think 1-2 years passed since G3 released and we just got them in march. We only have the basic and first wave of the locker line
Living in Lithuania, so far we only have scalpers selling a few g1 dolls for like 60€ and I doubt that they actually cost that much
At Greece we either find some at a big store called jambo or.....nothing.

the most basic one that only comes with a purse is 140R$
the "normal" one with more than one outfit is 300R$
and the one with lots of surprises is 350R$ and a normal barbie is about 110R$ 😭

we can't get any of dolls in iran, even when i was a kid and everything was a little better it was so hard to find the dolls only sometimes we use to saw MH dolls so randomly and it was so rare but these days you can't find any of them but some shop have some rainbow high dolls but it's so expensive something like 40m Rial or even more sometimes it get to 60m rial:)) it's the same for Barbie dolls too

I’m sick of the new Barbie dolls bodies not being able to properly fit into the older doll clothing. I also wish they’d go back to the dolls that had the moving arms and legs yes they have made to move dolls but they could put those bodies underneath the rubber to make it feel like she has bones and we wouldn’t see the weird joins!
My daughter was much lighter myself I didn’t care much for Barbies she’s always had a bit of a dark side lol but monster high was always her favorite she kept a few of her original dolls but unfortunately sold a lot when she thought she was too old for them but now at 23 I’ve had to start buying her some more back that are of course put on display and are never to be touched… lol. I’m so thankful that my mother kept a lot of my dolls from when I was little again I didn’t do the Barbies because I was born with only one hand so it made it kinda hard for me to really play with them but when they got into the bigger dolls as far as cabbage patch kids I have some original ones from 19 8384 and so on oh I think I just spoke with my age there..lol

I collect only rainbow high and I am from Bulgaria. Most of the dolls available in the toy stores, but shadow high are not(which makes me sad, because I want them so bad), except for neon shadow, because they have a pop of color.
Something that is good for collecting from stores in Bulgaria is that they are not so popular in here which cool because here you can basically you can go in any store and buy every single doll from series 2 up, so if you don't have enough money to buy them(I am in school an don't have a job) I can wait because the dolls are not gonna be sold out and they even would have a discount so its not that bad in Bulgaria for doll collectors in here, but I only collect rainbow high so its not the same as everyone.(We don't have monster high G3 so I am sorry for my friend from here that have to purchase them online, but it seems that the stores here are not gonna sell anything that is not looking like human being)
And we have a LOT of Kia Hart!!! I don't know if she is very hard to find in your country there are so many of her here its absurd. And she is on a discount in every shop I check. If someone doesn't have her and if she is very expensive second-hand just come for a holiday here in Bulgaria in the Capital for one or two days and grab her. Its worth it especially If you are in to history, this place is OLD. There are so many thing you can check out for free and have fun. JUST GET HER OUT OF HERE I AM SEEK OF SEEING HER IN EVERY STORE!!!
I wish they were more diverse. fat dolls, trans dolls, disabled dolls, androgynous dolls, indian dolls, WHERE ARE THEY?! doll companies will make mermaid dolls, furry dolls, zombie dolls, but making them diverse? that's where they draw the line. it's so disappointed
I specifically put pressure on Indian dolls rather than saying diverse races broadly because I have never seen an Indian doll that wasn't considered a monster hybrid and although I myself am not Indian I completely understand how sad it is that little kids aren't seen dolls that represent their culture
I'd like to see more disabled dolls, as know monster high does have a few but no where near the level of representation that is needed. If 50% of people have a disability, that's the representation, I'd like to see dolls that just happen to have insulin pumps, or for monster high, oxygen masks, I love that frankie is sort of an amputee, and the mermaid in a wheelchair. Just always wanna see more. I still haven't found a doll I see myself in.

£40 in UK and seemingly exclusive in shops to Smyths, and we only have draculaura, Cleo and Frankie, no Lagoona or Clawdeen... and if I recall US has two verisnts of the Skulltimate. Attest I've seen an Alt outfit for Cleo..
Sometimes you need to pay over 600€ to get one in Germany😢
