Denise Matthews- formerly known as Vanity- is interviewed by Ben. Kinchlow and speaks of her new life and the journey that took her there. She reflects on her career and the obstacles she faced along the way in becoming a changed person.. Mr. Kinchlow hosted the 700 club a second time from 92 -96 , Vanity mentions the 1993 released film "DaVinci's War" and her bio states she was reborn in1994 at the age of 35 so that has to put this interview around that time..

I hugged this lady once at wheeler ave Baptist church in Texas when I was 15. I loved her then and I love her now.
You might have heard her speak at the same time when she was an evangelist; she came to Houston and ministered at my then church Harvest Time Evangelistic Church. She was on fire then too. I think it was not strange how her & Prince allowed the wrong spirit to use them but their love for each other then, even toxic, was rooted in God. They probably prayed for each other and I believe were designed for each other in victory but they didn't meet or allow themselves to spritually reconcile in this life in the same season to where they could become one and married. If there was ever a couple who came full circle it was them. They pass within a year's time. They could have been a spiritual force for God together in ministry here but they "missed" that window. When he failed to alot monies for her illness it may have been setting his fate to pass shortly too after her. Not that it was punishment but they were already one and if this life's paths hindered them from reaching each other on the higher level of spiritual committment then they would be graced to leave this world and reconnect spiritually in the next life without the cares of this world constraining the good intent. The acceptable will yielded to the perfect. Not too soon did they pass but divinely did they reconnect in the next. Beautiful as they were they were more so with the passion of God through their gifts to us and that is the beauty of how they continue to touch us. :)

Vanity was such a physically beautiful woman. Her beauty was the type that you couldn't stop looking at. For example, if I saw her in a restaurant, I would just feel like asking her "Is it okay if I just stare and take in your beauty, without you thinking I am rude or crazy?" God really put an extra touch of beauty when he created her.
She is definitely angelic in appearance. No one is perfect though. That is one of the points in this video.

I think that was part of her problem, she was so stunning that people treated her as an object not a human and she got exploited by people for her looks. Once she broke free of being Vanity she could finally become her true whole self rather than an object for people to admire.

Moreso now as her prior existence was associated with lustful associations that others put upon her. Her beauty now is free from those associations. She is beautiful in a Godly discernment free from the former.

I had read somewhere that her kidney problems had to do with the drug abuse. Even if they had started before she started doing drugs, the drugs couldn't have helped.
Vanity ODd on cocaine in the late 80s.mshe damaged her Kidneys. She was on dialysis in her later years and I believe had even had a transplant. So,Stimson transplants don't last a lifetime. She cleaned up her life. She had been sober for years... probably close to 25. She died from kidney faIlure, not drugs...

Her testimony gives God glory and helps others want to know Jesus. Celebrities testimonials are great because they have influence over lots of people and God uses them to reach souls that people connect to. Thanks be to God for being the father she never had and wrapping his loving arms around his child. Hearing her speak on how God changed her entire quality of life, her pain in her eyes from her past and overall this whole conversation. There is a lot to be learned from this interview. Lot time people smile and on the inside they are crying as a child I wanted to know more about God and his word it wasn't till 1974 I fully accepted him in my life.along the way people hurt used and took advantage of me. I never asked why.just knew bad things happen to good people.i keep my hand in his.i try treat others as I wish to be treated. In my heart I know when my time comes I'll be ready.i never stop praying and no matter what I never doubt God or his word. I have forgiven others because I wanted him to forgive me for any wrong I have done. I dont look back. But forward.forgiving is easy forgetting can be hard.but i won't let satan keep me down when i know there is a better place for me when my soul leave my body.ill be whole again won't need medicine or a wheel chair. No matter how my day go i always say thank you jesus. I'm glad she found peace and was able to forgive.i believe God took her when he knew she'd accepted the truth and was ready.i never judge because God is the judge. I forgive because i want his forgivness.none of us are perfect. I have since I was a child held onto his unchanging hand. Never blame God when something bad happens.because the devil purpose is to steal kill and destroy.while God love is unconditional.i say thank you jesus no matter the day throw at me because I know God with me,and he help me through.i will not be afraid to die.leave all the pain and my disability behind. I could relate to ms.denise matthews.. Im not rich or famous, But I lived with a dark cloud over my head for such a long time until I became a follower of jesus christ.. Every time I go to Niagara Falls I think of Denise. When I pass by her previous workplace I wonder if she knew she would be unforgettable. She was a timeless beauty, and she gave the most down-to-earth interviews. 💜

I love her. When I found out she was born again I was overwhelmed I cried and laughed with joy. When I saw her give her testimony on different videos I was moved OMG you could hear and see our Father using her all in her. She was and is beautiful her life is beautiful. Her transformation was awesome. She's now completely healed and at peace but her fire still burns here on earth for us still here. Watching these videos all over again is doing a great work in me. It's about planting those seeds. It's about seeking God's kingdom and righteousness FIRST. bless you Lord and hallelujah for our Sister Denise. She really did walk the walk. She went from a harllot to an enlightened being who became a major light to help lead people out of sin and into righteousness. She is an example of losing one’s way and then finding her true self.
I read her book and it is heart breaking. She experienced so much early trauma from childhood abuse and relationships with celebrities who didn't respect her.
