Just a tip for you that had planned a travel there before covid19: there is a strong possibility of snowfall at the highest points of Serra da Estrela on Friday the 12th and probably on saturday june 13th.

Our Ria Formosa is amazing isn't it? Some people with a boat, take a small charcoal griller, some charcoal, fresh sardines bought in Olhão market and they grill them and eat in shore. With some white wine and a tomato salad, it is heaven. And yes, the water temperature will get hotter as you come closer to Spain and will get colder as you get closer to Sagres. I you have very nice beaches on that side, like Mantarota, Praia Verde, Praia da Fábrica, Montegordo.

The water was hotter than usual due to the “levante”. When the currents change direction from mid Atlantic Ocean to the North of Africa, it brings the hot water from the Mediterranean sea. Usual the water temperature will rise from the normal 16/17C to 20-22, or even higher.
when you were rowing the small boat, you managed to make two mistakes at the same time: you were rowing facing forward, when you should have been facing backward, and the boat should be oriented in the opposite direction. That was actually impressive how even so you managed to move in the water. :-) You made 4 times the effort you could have made, though. So, good exercise. :-)

Great video and what a lovely location! Yes you're right, the water is much better temperature in Fuseta than in Lagos and even better in Monte Gordo or Cacela. Also excellent for people with children and for people that can't swim because much softer waves, shallow water, flat easy to go land and NO STONES at all. However, i love beaches with big rocks around as long as they have also nice sandy areas like those a bit more to the east!
I stopped watching you guys for a while but viewing this video I remember why I like you so much. Lovely, just lovely. Thanks for sharing.
