Really great overall view of win 11 on surface pro 7. Thank you!
@@ChuenL did you try affinity designer or illustrator and how smooth are the designing apps. Can the i5 take the heat from basic programming like R, or is it too much for the system.
Hey, I haven't tried either illustrator or designer apps. I have tried icons8.com/lunacy and it seems to be fine. I think basic R programming should be fine as well. Just be careful when you have other things in the background such as docker or if your'e screen sharing via a video call. That seems to kick the fans off a bit
Hi @chuen, anyway I can downgrade my Surface Pro 7 back to Win10? I got my SPro7 from 2nd market and it came with Win11. Thanks a lot!
Hey! Yes, you should be able to. You will have to be prepared to do a complete clean install. You can try either of these methods: support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d or www.how2shout.com/how-to/balenaetcher-how-to-create-a-bootable-usb-flash-drive-using-etcher.html Hope that helps.
The video is very good! I have installed the Win11 on my Surface Pro7. But I lost the facial sign-in function. it works facial sign-in on your Surface pro 7 with new Win11 ?
your camera is amazing
I keep postponing installing on my Surface Pro 7... will I lose any of my apps and in particular drawing apps?
"You do hear the fan kick off" .... fan.. Surface Pro 7. mine doesn't have one, perhaps the i7 does?
I guess your apps would run fanless (i have the i5 and it multitasks fine).. try messing with the cpu throttling, you should be able to retain fast performance without the fans.
cool vid btw.. love the tone, ideal!
feature request: full screen / width screen capture for software :)
Yeah, I think only the i7 ones do have a fan. Interesting. Didn't know that. Thanks for the support and checking out the vid 👍
Great overview of Win 11. Thanks for the summary and clear review!
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback and hope it was helpful 👍
