I Never trolled on someone's video, nor can you expect people to enjoy things the same way you do, however I'll like to say that I really wish people don't go to some else's country and expect it to have the same amenities, etc as their own country, enjoy the country for what it is. I found St. Lucia to be beautiful and magical. Sugar beach was amazing for it's clear water, the scenery on the long curvy roads was breath taking. If one is willing to leave the expensive resort you stay in, with all the bacon and egg, and staked menus and go in the heart of the town areas, you'll get the nicest well cooked food, like provision, rice, catch of the day fish, oxtail etc, (recommend Golden Taste in Gros Islet) you'll realise the towns aren't that boring and lacking in culture as described. Zip lining through the rain forest, all the scenery amazing, and last but not least the Pitons are AMAZING, no camera no video could truly capture the Elegance of those wonderful twin mountains, every eye 👀 should behold it for themselves. Paints a different picture than the one you selling bro
Exactly
also - thanks for watching
Unimpressed with this biased video. St Lucia always ranks in the most beautiful Caribbean islands. Has never been left out .
U sound unimpressed. However, all see things differently . But the majority of visitors, like St Lucia, based on their videos. Let's hope u enjoy your next island
Apparently you missed out on our wide variety of worldly, and local culinary goodies - but hey, maybe next time? I laughed at your "American" pronunciations, and at some of your comments regarding my home state! Thanks for your humble comments - you're good.
Ready to go!!!!
Special place

Me too. Thanks for watching.
Great commentary! I am a St. Lucian, living in Florida & just got back from island.
Thanks - that's a nice compliment to get from a St Lucian. Thanks for watching.
You must be fun at parties
Depends who you ask
St Lucie est une île paradisiaque, j'espère m'y rendre avec ma famille. Merci pour toutes ces belles images ❤
C'est tellement beau, merci d'avoir regardé
What is the hotel that you do not recommend? I downloaded the PDF but did not see the hotel mentioned.
Fond Doux - so much potential but......
Hello! My wife and I a traveling to the northside of the island next month. I know you mentioned the island is relatively safe, but of course use common sense and be aware of your surroundings. Is there any concern with wearing a backpack when traveling the island? I don't want to be a target for theft. I just want to be able to carry a camera in my bag and also use it without being overly worried. Thanks!
Hi there. I felt very safe in St L... by comparison I spent a month in Jamaica this year - and loved it - but felt less safe for sure. The only place I had any hesitation is the city of Soufriere, but if you will be north doubt you would get there anyway. Rodney Bay is very clean and felt safe, we spent 0 time in Castries but since that's where big cruise ships dock, I'd imagine the police have an interest in keeping tourists safe. St Lucia doesn't get very crowded. Just keep a close eye on your stuff when you are in crowded tourist areas. We had 0 issues w safety, theft or ever feeling cheated. Have a great time
Thanks for the insight,@@SwankGuide!
We will be heading to the south for a day to do the Gros Piton hike and chocolate tour, but that's about it. That is the main day that I want to bring a backpack.
Happy to help. If you want to do a choco planation tour I'd suggest Hotel Chocolate's tour... well done vs something like Fond Doux (where we also stayed and were very disappointed... they also run a choco tour.) End the day w a sunset drink at Ladera and have dinner there or the better restaurant at Hotel Chocolat (better food and architecture - but not Ladera's view - but if it's dark who cares).

Thanks
For some reason, all these St. Lucia videos (not just this one) make the country looks kinda boring to be honest. I love that this video had the best editing by far. However I have yet to see a video of St. Lucia that makes it look appealing.
I'm not gonna disagree. It's a great place to go if you are after a beach vacay.... if so we have 6 resorts we recommend. In terms of value in accommodations - it's also a good choice - cheaper than most Caribbean destinations and easily half the priec of Hawaii. In terms of activities: the hiking around the Pitons is really good plus water sports like diving, snorkeling etc. There's not tons of culture and the cities are a total waste if time. Good luck
@Swank Guide I love your video itself and its very informative, great editing. It's the country that looks bland. Could be that I live in Florida where we have white sand and green clear water on the gulf coast. I think if I visited the Caribbean I would chose another island for me personally.
@@RM-ys1bn cool - stay tuned - we are heading to jamaica in March.
The capital, Castries, needs a face lift. The government recently announced plans to beautify the city.
Thanks for the update
What surprised me about Saint Lucia was how shitty it was.
Dear Mike D #20, we are sorry to hear that you have had such a negative experience.
Yeah no big deal I guess. The beach we stayed at didn’t have that Caribbean blue water. Kinda murky and not easy on the eye. Getting anywhere on the island was a pain in the ass. Food was mediocre, and service was bad. People are friendly there. I almost feel bad saying this because people are so nice.
@@miked2075 Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am sorry that it was not a positive one.
Most videos about Helen of the West Indies are positive
Your voice says it all, u did not enjoy the island. Most people and videos have a positive experience about the island
Just got back from a cruise of the Southern Caribbean and one of the stops was St Lucia. St Lucia was the dirtiest island of them all and the people were not friendly. Very pushy and don't take no for an answer. Sad really. It almost seemed like it was run by local gangs. I will never return to St Lucia and would not recommend it for anyone. Unless maybe you're staying in a five-star resort and never leave it.
I'd agree St Lucia's cities aren't worth a visit - nothing interesting. I know the big cruise ships go into Castries - so if you didn't leave Castris then you may have seen the worst side of the place. It's very much a beach resort type place. I thought the people were friendly but again we didnt spend time in the cities. Thanks for sharing your experience
may be the people just didn't trust yall on the island.
People in bug cities are unfriendly . U only spent one day. Very friendly people. New York is dirty and some parts of the UK as well
World's number one wedding destination for a number of years
@@user-xu9ib9cd6d fair enough. I'm just going off my experience plus the many video I've seen that support what I'm saying. The little tourist area near the cruise ship terminals has had a lot of tourist safety issues. I can concur that that particular area is very sketchy and I would suggest avoiding it.
U were not impressed with anything on this island .
Hmm I was for sure - in fact I loved St Lucia. If you watch the whole series I think you will see that.
Thanks 👍
Brother, u sound boring!
Thanks...haters usually not best judge of people
