Seven years later I found your video. I've poured candles for years. Always bought my moulds. Your video is EXCELLENT on making the mould. The viewers also should know these moulds will make multiple of candles before they wear. The past few years beeswax has skyrocketed in price. Finding bulk beeswax is more difficult now than it ever was. If someone is trying to make beeswax candles try to find the blocks and not those silly little wax bb's that are sold.
I'm now getting ready to see your making beeswax candles pt. 2.
Really helpful loved the bloopers 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love the video series. I took what you showed and "improved" upon your way. I put it in quote's because I'm sure it's all opinion. I was able to make three molds. That are self standing. Thanks for the inspection. Spelling.
Wrap some paper around a candle for size. Tape up. Push out candle. Tape up end of paper tube. Insert string, fill with wax. Done.
I was wondering if you could make this any more difficult? or expensive. 1. UCO candle is not 2" it is 1.25" so why not use 1.25" PVC pipe to start with. With a proper fitting plug or cap, a hole drilled for wick to pass. Voila, done, costs pennies compared to poly.
The 1.25 riser pvc or metal pipes that screw to the bottom of sink drain outlet work great. A 12" lenght can be cut into 4 molds.
This is just Awesome. Thanks, Can't wait for part 2!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Very informative!
Good video but just FYI that was not a self tapping screw that is a sheet metal screw ...
1) great video, love the DIY piece.
2) the outakes are awesome!!!
Great video! Love the outtake part!
Thanks badass bro!
Seems simple enough to make the mold too
Thanks for the video
Great vid, being in the 70/80 age group I'll design a (3) hole (2) piece mold as I'd use for ceramics and 3D print it, releasing should be zero hassle. Methods change in 5+ years.
Would it not have been much easier and faster to just find a piece of pipe with a diameter close to the UCO candle, and use that as yer mold???
Try white petrolium in a verry thin layer. It separates instantly
Great Video Will. Absolutely Awesome DIY. I gotta try this project too.
Great way to save some coins thank you for showing! and thank you for leaveing the outtakes.. :)
You put out awesome video's and I thank you for them. I know they are very time consuming but I wish you could put them out more often.
i do to bro but the sad truth is that i work 60 to 70 hr a week i am trying to get to the point that youtube is how i make a living but it takes time

Well done; thank you
Great video, very informative! Love the out takes too. :D
Nicely done.
William put the candle back.LOL
love your videos. One question, couldn't you have used a paper towel roll taped at the end?
Good vid will. I need to get one of those lanterns.
You do not need to buy mold release.................Just spray some WD40 on it. Or use some 3 in 1 oil................it all works
Loved the bluppers
DUDE !! I use WAX as a mold release in allot of projects. You got plenty of that!!
car wax works for a mold release pretty good
I really want some of the beeswax one's for mine. Just to expensive. Love the video brother
you can get them from me 3 for $5.00 plus s&h
William Myers MantisOutdoors
I placed my order >_o
3 for $5 is a GREAT deal =D
thanks carbs ill be shipping your order out tomorrow
William Myers MantisOutdoors
Cool.. thanks bro =D
You want to sell me a set of those molds?
3 pour mold for sale on etsy for $30 and 6 pour for $59
Whats the advantage to this over just dipping wicks in bees wax till you get the final size?
just curious if there is a silicone i can use for this.and where i can get it.
Vaseline as a demolding agent? A light greasing should do the trick. OR use whats in your kit. Chapstick or Burleigh Balm should work as well.
Good idea and tips. No reason this should take 30 minutes to explain though.
I was looking for a 3d printing model of a compatible candle mold to send to my closest 3d printer.
i love watching these videos where they make some for self reliance, and the entire thing relies on bits and pieces that you have to buy in a store.
When did I ever say this was for self reliance????? You can make these to save money thanks for the view and comment
where is a good cheap place for wax. I was pricing out wax based on each candle weighing 6 oz. and it did not seem worth doing unless you got this really cheap otherwise seems ur paying just as much for making your own candles as it is to buy name brand ucos. I would really like to make these regardless but making it so it's cost effective would be that much more awesome.any help will be greatly appreciated thank you
can use silicon to make mold ?
Otherwise, check out MY way to make Molds and Candles for the UCO.

you can use pam or car wax as a mold release
Look at Juijitsu 2000's channel, he has a much easier method to making these UCO type candles. His new video reuses the same mold each and every time. No need to break or cut pipes.
👍👍😎
His candles only last 4-6 hours they are smaller than original.. This is a much better method I believe
I saw that video. It was good. This is much better because of the eventual ease of removing the candle from the mould. I've poured candles for years. I'm going to watch his pt.2 video and see how he did.
@@mattcarolina Plus that guy isn't using beeswax which is why they don't last as long. I agree with you. This is superior quality than the other guy. But hey, it works for him and what he wants. Me? I like things done the best way they can be done.
The ending is ablaphsphemey alsome
SEE MY IMPORTANT COMMENT ON YOUR PART 2 VIDEO. I'm now a new Sub as well. Thanks man, Peace Out. Oregon Mike H.
looks like silicone not urethane
Just buy a pvc pipe that’s the right size around cap it and pour your wax. This is WAY too many steps!!
Can’t wait to see your video I’m sure it’s going to be awesome
