      Love Crystal River we are between Crystal River and Rainbow River in Dunnellon and hit up both often. The Manatees are everywhere right now in Crystal River!

      We loved this campground! Clean, so many ammenities, and a ramp for easy access to the Chassahowitzka River. We spent three days on three different rivers in the area. Manatees, gators and the underwater caves are worth the drive from Tennessee :)

    We stayed there about 3 years back. We did a tremendous amount of kayaking there, hitting springs up and down the river. The campground was very nice, but we had to stay in the trailer and the screenhouse because the biting insects were about as bad as they get.

      This was our first time staying, and we loved it. I have always stayed at the beach when we visit Florida. This trip was kayaking 3 rivers in 3 days...manatees, gators, and underwater caves. I may never visit another Florida beach again if I have the option to kayak on the rivers. Lol November was not bad at all for the bugs.

    Didn't know about no exit or entry between 10 pm and 6 am good to know. Have never seen a campground do that they have always had electric entry access with codes campers get.

    • @SL_BA
      @SL_BA  Před 3 lety +2

      The sign says no entry or exit, but I think there is a keypad for a code if there is an emergency. They send the keypad code in an email that I found after making this video. Lol

    nice looking little river. I haven't done much in Florida, will keep an eye out though if I get that way again. Did y'all do any fishing and Kayaking while you were there?
    Thanks for showing us around!

      Yes! We kayaked 3 different rivers in three days :) We hung out with manatees, gators, and played around some underwater caves. I am not sure I will ever pick a Florida beach vacation over a Florida kayaking vacation again :) Y'all will love it too!

    Looks like a very nice campground in a great area. I've heard of Three Sisters Springs. My brother lives north of there and my sister lives south of there, both off of 19. Cool to see you are using your van, Tow (or Toe). Thanks for showing us around the campground, Scotty & Malinda.

    • @SL_BA
      @SL_BA  Před 3 lety

      We loved this campground! It is a great base camp to visit so many of Florida's spring fed rivers. We kayaked three rivers in three days. I think I loved our Florida rivers vacation more than the typical beach vacation. Big Tow sure does make it easy to just pack a bag of clothes and jump in and drive. Thanks for hanging out with us :)

      That is a great question! And this would be the perfect spot. There are so many beautiful natural springs to explore in this area. We need to start asking at each campground and put that info in the video or description. Thanks for the idea 😀
