The uppercase word "City" means it is part of the official city name: "Oklahoma City", "Kansas City", "Jersey City", etc.

If you actually read the description and beginning of the video you would see that it said CONTIGUOUS United States, which means the US mainland. Alaska and Hawaii aren't part of the contiguous United States.
They should be included, for this purpose. Otherwise, uneducated people will just assume Anchorage and Honolulu are not in the top 300 cities. Pitiful list.

The thing with California and Texas is that they both have a lot of cities within big cities. All you need in California is a mayor and a 50 people and you have a city and most are near the largest cities or within the largest cities.
I live about 45 minutes northwest of Grand Rapids (#121) and it is a very nice place. I recommend it if you are planning a trip up to Michigan.

Kenosha isn't big at all, but it is sort of fun to be. There are a lot of things to do downtown, like places to eat, stores, etc. And you have a great view of Lake Michigan.

This is pretty outdated for northwest cities. Population has been exploding over the last decade. 3 years makes a big difference. It also makes no sense to do it by city population instead of metro population. If you think okc metro is larger than portland metro you'd be insane. Portland metro is 2.4 million compared to portland's just 640,000 or so. Mean while okc's metro is over a full 1 million less people at only 1.3 million despite okc's population itself being close to the same as portland's.

You are right about it should be metro area, not city limits i.e., Miami and Atlanta metro areas are huge compared to city pop, and there are many more examples - many cities have been hemmed in by surrounding town city limits for decades, so it can be very misleading.
This is just the cities "proper." If you consider greater populations around a city, the numbers change a lot.
