I just purchased a frostbite blue special order Scatpack Challenger. I didn’t order the adaptive suspension. I went with the standard suspension which turned out to be much stiffer than I anticipated. My new scat pack rides much harsher than the 5.7 R/T. I wish I opted for the $1000 adjustable suspension hoping the softer setting would be still softer than the base suspension. Overall I am thrilled with this Scat! My new 2020 Scatpack challenger showed up flawless! After seven months of ownership not a single flaw, no rattles no lights does everything like it should! I am thrilled of the quality of this car. It’s as good as my wife’s Toyota Highlander! And it’s a Dodge! I purchased a 2007 Dodge Magnum that initially had a lot of problems and spent almost 3 months at the dealer. I think cars like my magnum are the reasons why some Dodge vehicles get a bad reputation for quality. Since then for the last 14 years it’s been a great car. It has a lifetime warranty on it which makes it difficult for me to sell. But this new scat pack Challenger is a fantastic car and I love it! I’m going to have to sell the Magnum sooner or later. Oh my car is a garage kept. The Challenger will enjoy a nice life like my Magnum did. Where else can you buy a large V8 Engine Rear wheel Coupe or sedan for under 80 or $100,000 these days? BMW? Mercedes? Believe it or not the overall reliability is not as good in the more expensive options. The Dodge Challenger is actually more reliable going by consumer reports.
Who. In their right mind. Would EVER.....name their kid Bort? Lol, I miss old Simpsons. Hope you enjoy it! Looking at one myself...Did they have your match in the lot or did you wait?
The benefit of getting older is knowing exactly what you need/want (Though I'm only 27). Challenger is a winner for me, it has style, space, comfort, and arguable - the price. Doesn't matter which models, from SXT to Hellcat, you don't feel "left out". My dad ended up swap his SRT for my SXT because he couldn't handle the power. Honestly, I couldn't care less, even at SXT, it's an amazing car. You not missing out much, exterior or interior-wise. I know I'm going to get so much hate for saying this but I actually enjoy the quiet of the SXT rather than the SRT lol. I'm not a car guy so please spare me.
Buddy, I totally agree. I ordered an RT, then switched to a scatty & then went back to the dealership to change it back to the RT. They must hate me by now. lol. I know I'm not gonna be able to use all that power where I live, and don't plan on racing or tracking the car, so whats the need for 485 HP? From all the videos online, they say the RT is fun enough. It'll be more than enough for me at 372 HP coming from a 130 some HP camry. lmao. To each his own, your SXT looks just as good as a hellcat & without all the noise if thats what you want. I do want that muscle experience so I thought I'll just get the RT because it has enough usable power, definitely has the looks & somehow actually sounds better than 6.4L imo. All at a lower price. So its perfect for someone like me who is getting their first V8.
All gods products from the factory have over inflated tires to prevent flat spots if they sit too long on the lot. Most likely somebody skipped that part of pre-delivery inspection. I took my car without PDI in the tires were between 45 and 47 pounds each.
@@bultacowally The point of my statement is this Italian owned, Canadian built car should use an aluminum chassis and engineer the hemi to be an aluminum block and head engine. Never said they're going to, just a wish list. You're insinuation is hilarious though, but thanks for the laugh.
Great review with the exception of the recommendation of an all-digital cluster. I’m a Challenger purist (Scat pack daily and redeye for the track). No one in my driving club would want to shift away from the analog either - so Dodge if you read this please take note! If it went digital I fear my current two ‘little’ beasts would be my last. The Challenger holding onto its key old school quirks are its main charm. If that’s not for you then go get a Mustang. 😉
Challengers really aren't from the same mold as mustangs and cameros. They are sports / performance cars. Challengers are true muscle cars which are mostly for straight line racing. I have a 19 scat pack and love it. Its a great, practical daily driver. The perfect cruiser. The head unit is far better than what chevy and ford offer. I also enjoy the real exhaust growl in the cabin. Mustangs have fake exhaust pumped in through the speakers.
Let’s see....Mustang GT 350, Mach 1, Camaro SS and ZL-1 or a Challenger that looks plain ‘ol BAD ASS. It has a Hemi. That just sounds like 1969. Did I mention it looks BAD ASS?
The modern day Challengers are by far the most reminiscent of the muscle car era, in terms of looks and sound. Cams, Stangs and Vettes are still awesome...But, Challenger just looks perfect.
love this car , drove it with the 6 speed , damn !! hearing it shift is an awesome sound ❤️❤️❤️ I personally don't like the stripes on it looks cheap , plz do the Chrysler 300s with the 5.7 😱💞❤️
Only the left side is a actual working intercooler the right side is just there for looks if you buy one of these cars and open up your hood you would see that the right intercooler actually goes nowhere and the left one actually goes to the engine
If you don't care about the track or drag strip and you just want to make sure you can pass other cars in the freeway and street, what would be better, the scat pack or the hellcat?
You can pass plenty of cars in a scat. In the future I will be getting a hellcat tho. Honestly if the scat had the supercharger whine I probably wouldn’t get rid of it lol
i went 6 speed its so much more engaging IMO. also ive been ruined with oaddle shifting by driving 5 exotics over the years and once you paddle shift with a 300k car it just ruins you too other paddle shifting. tbh. lol
Waiting for mine, hoping for a Jan 2nd pick up. Manual...white knuckle....caramel interior, dynamic pack, plus group, adaptive suspension, and the Harmon kardon option.....so my grandmother won’t notice the V8 ...much......I will be grounded for the rest of my life, by the way dude I think someone opened up an account and is posting your vids
