Darksiders 3 Gameplay
Now that Envy is revealed, if you watch back the scene with Lust talking about Envy's whereabout, Lust looks directly at Watcher when she said "She's the most pathetic of us". Lust apparently has no chill.
You also have abraxis saying the weak envy the strong and the watcher gets fidgety
The watcher herself sais she "feels no envy for them" and that Fury has "an unenviable task".
The twist is pretty good, we already know the Watcher will screw us over, but surprise it was me, Envy!
There are so many hints along the way. You have to be as thick headed as I am to not notice.
Quick info: This is how War and Death got their brother Strife's guns from the female maker and Ulthane
So is he dead or did he just leave his guns for his brothers

@@rend9042 Well even if Strife did die it doesn't matter because all the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse are revived and at full power when the seven seals are broken. As Crowfather said at the end of Darksiders 2, "And the number of the Riders shall ever be four".

Yes! Do Darksiders Genesis! The plot isn’t as important as the numbered games, but you get a lot of Strife’s personality, and the gameplay is super fun! Better with a friend!
I super concur Strifes voice actor I really like I hope they make a game in the same vein as the numbered darksiders with him

I agree with people that are saying that you should play genesis, the prototype games and maybe even the dead space trilogy, all of those games are amazing.
There's a nice tidbit that you notice after completing the game. The amulet that is supposed to react to Sins glows "every time" that The Watcher is with you - hints that she's one of them.
The opening when you see "envy" the amulet doesn't glow when you first see it i think it glows only during the fight

1 more secret cutscene you missed if you do the true ending is the Dark Prince yelling at Lillith for not silencing the Lord of Hollows as Fury now holds the artifact she got from the Lord of Hollow commenting Fury has no idea what she holds hinting theres more to it than realised
Considering how the council reacted its understandable that there definitely something that hollows didn't spill to her about it and it will more than likely only be revealed in ds5 because next game will most likely be strife and the backstory to why he hidden and how his guns were held by ulthane and the other land we can figure out the ulthane one but not the other yet
While I have my gripes with Darksiders 3, I like how the foreshadowing is handled in the story. Both with the Watcher and her identity as Envy, as well as Jones secretly being Strife. Though the latter might not be as easy to catch on a first playthrough. I do hope to see you play Genesis, since it's just as story driven as the other games, and perhaps has some of the best writing in the series. The dynamic between Strife and War is brilliant.

Really nice playthrough. Just on interesting notice on Envy's design: You can see that she is copying the Horsemen with her pistols, scythe and sword. You can really see how envious she is of the power of the horsemen. I think this is a really neat detail.
Now we have to wait for your Darksiders Genesis playthrough.
Strangely, I see no whip there. Maybe she was contemptous of Fury and decided she didn't need her power?

@@vaclavsoukup7302 Maybe she just does not envy her. All the other characters mention that they think she is the weakest of the four, so she is not interested. You can also see that she copies most of her design from Death who is considered the strongest and the leader of the horsemen. It could also be true that she sees herself in Fury considering how envious she was of her horsemen brethren at the start of the game.
Missed the cutscene with Lilith, if you get the amulet from the Lord of Hollows
Okay, so let's do a little recap. Before the ending of the first game:
-War is fighting the Destroyer
-Death has sacrificed himself to restore humanity (where are they though)
-Fury is hiding the (descendants) of the human survivors
-Strife is doing quite something as well
And after the ending of DS1 we have basically everyone joining together to fight against the Council and also the dark prince guy (possibly Lucifer), whose goal we don't fully know.
Is that right?
Lucifer is likely going to assume control of everything once this war is over and possibly the end of the Council.
He's clearly put everything in motion and is just spectating the results. The 4th game should make for a interesting twist.
@@nullandvoid7524 i don't think 4th will reveal much what most likely will be covered was how come he was undercover and what happened post ds3 ending. his guns are also in ds1 and ds2 gameplay areas 1 is understandable since you meet ulthane at the destroyed tree but ds2 we don't know anything about how it happened
It's not entirely clear if Strife is actually around at that particular point in time. With both War and Death having received one of his pistols each from the Makers, there's somewhat of a chance that Strife actually was defeated in that final battle scene (in which both Ulthane and the female maker smith from DS2 were present after all) and only will be resurrected when War breaks the final seal.
Then again, it is somewhat possible that Strife was resurrected by the Council inbetween that death and the breaking of the seal, assuming that the Council does not know that Strife has been in Haven and witnessed them turning on his Sister.
The timeline of Strifes game is somewhat difficult to predict. On one hand, the intro cinematic mentions him being assigned to a different task but on the other hand you gotta wonder if pretending to be a human and protecting huminity in Haven is part of that task (probably not since pretty much everyone seems to want humanity dead) which would in turn imply that he either has already finished it (which would make for a super short game as DS3 is already not very long compared to DS2) or that he might not even have started it.
Then again, I guess there is also somewhat of a chance that Strife just lost or gave away those pistols and got himself a replacement.
As far as Lucifer is concerned, it's not entirely clear, either:
1: His plan to resurrect the Nephilim to fight by his side has failed as Death has decided to sacrifice their souls to allow for the rebirth of humanity
2: Samael, who may quite possibly be his most dangerous adversary has not only been freed by War but is also powered up significantly after consuming the hearts of the Chosen. And that's disregarding the fact that he appears to be borderline omniscient. If there's ever a Darksiders game that takes place after the ending of the first one, I reckon Samael is gonna be a major wildcard in that plot.
Now we NEED a Darksiders 4 for Strife, and a final one to complete the saga with all 4 Horsemen! The hype is...biblical!
Thats the idea most people are expecting at this point a 4 with strife then a 5 with all of them hoping for a 6 also so they 5th game not rushed
i honestly fucking love genesis, there's so much good dialogue between strife and war imo you should definitely play it. it's a little different than the other games but i still had fun playing it
Strife is another example of why I love gunslinger characters. Who doesn't love people that use two guns at once?

Damn, fortification shards make this game easy as hell. Envy normally combos you endlessly, but if you can just ignore it I guess it doesn’t matter.
It becomes especially awful when Envy goes for an attack, but set up Wrath's ground pound, essentially meaning you're dead, unless you start running
Fortification is amazing but some envy combos are pretty much death sentences no matter what happens

Loved this game. Fury grew on me so much in the end. Death is still my favorite but Fury is a good second.
What I love about the Envy twist is that it was built up so WELL
The talisman glows green even when it was just Fury and The Watcher
Lust and Abraxis both allude to The Watcher being Envy.
With Lust outright saying:
"The weak always envy the strong, isn't that right Watcher?"
Also, Envy's design is essentially a mish-mash of unused designs of the other Horsemen, which makes complete sense
PS:
This game is basically the FIRST time in the franchise where we actually get insight into Lucifer's mindset
He had alredy been built up as the final villain and the mastermind behind of all the games, but The Lord of Hollows is the first character to basically spell out his motivation:
*He FEARS Humanity*

I love the design of Envy because it's clear that it's based on the things Fury is envious about: Her brothers. You got Wars hood and massive swords (as well as even some of his moves), Deaths Scythe and mask and Strife's pistols.
Sorry you had to re record everything guy, but thanks for doing it. Love watching this series.
I love that, if you pay any attention at all during the three games, you realize that Lucifer's speech at the end is, like, so wrong. War will kill Abadon and give Samael his powers back, Death will stop the corruption and save humanity, Fury has basically put the Council out of comission and will ensure humanity survives.
Remember that lucifer is doing something from behind the scenes similar to Samuel also have to remember that all the games are running "concurrently"

Litteraly Envy is the Fusion of all horseman she have the cape of War, Death's mask, Fury armor and weapon, a Scythe,Big sword and Guns like Strife
I recommend playing Genesis. It's a prequel, taking place before all of the games so far. You can get a taste for what Strife is like gameplay and personality wise.
Genesis is really good, check it out.

Just wanna say if you ever have the urge to play a souls game before Elden ring comes out, there is a new mod for dark souls 3 that is considered the best there is (even beter than cinderd (much beter imo).
Its called the convergence mod and it adds a ton of new bosses (not reskins but new bosses with actual new movesets), a crapload of spells and a large variety of weapon arts. Do consider giving it a try, i am certain you will love it!!!
This story has been insane! SO fun to watch you go through them all! Can't wait for Genesis and eventually the next numbered game.

You should Check out rogue legacy 2, it's still in early acces but there is a lot of content. And it's very fun.
I would love to see genesis! It was a lot of fun especially is your play it with a friend. I played the whole thing with my dad and it was so much fun!
Darksiders Genesis is a great game but when War and Strife talk PAY ATTENTION you get some back story on Strife during dialogue.
I don't know how to feel about the fact that they still haven't revealed what exactly the council is, because yes it builds mystery but we're 3 of 5 games in already.
Were estimating 3 out of 5 full games hopefully more but need to also try to bring out games faster

You should do the DLC! The Crucible is fun and you get the Abyssal Armor and an additional something for each Hollow

The story and how it evolves it's just amazing and honestly just for the sake of the lore I would love to see you play genesis. And I can't wait for a new title the story is sick! Btw I loved this series from you! If you plan to play Horizon Forbidden West mabye would be good a series on Horizon Zero Dawn since it's out on steam!

He helped with the guns but question i have is how the fuq did strifes gun get to ulthane and the makers realm and how did he know that they would go there nor do we know why he was "undercover" during ds3 events

Glad u liked this one. I always thought that the devs really did a good job despite the huge budget difference between DS2 and DS3. They really did give the earth a horror type of vibes to it which perfectly suits it considering every creature from the universe have overtaken it. I think they realized the earth environment as beautifully as they did the other realms in DS 2

Cool series. Darksiders: Genesis is VERY optional, it has some janky physics, wich is irritating when you try to move fast, and story overall leaves a lot to be desired. But the banter between the two brothers and their character development was a highlight for me

Myth please play genesis. If you can get may in with you it would be fun to watch too. Solo playing it would be amazing as well. The story for it is very nice and helps fill the gaps of the horsemen.
