CSU’s Spring Production Celebrates the Triumph of Women with Ancestra
In this original production written by Holly Holsinger and Chris Szajbert, past and present converge to illuminate a long history of silencing women through intimidation and violence. Ancestra is inspired by the 1853 National Women’s Rights Convention and weaves an historical account of women’s rights pioneers with the intimate biography of a contemporary journalism student who writes about reproductive healthcare. Directed by Holly Holsinger, Ancestra runs at the Outcalt Theatre Stage February 22-March 3, 2024.
