I have the Nesco VS-12 and love it. I was surprised you did not feature the double seal option. It's unique to this sealer, I think. It does take a little longer to set a double seal. I also use it for making small bags when I need them by using scissors to cut between the double seals. They are great for single serving bags for on-the-go snacks. Thanks for the great video. It's the first one I have seen that used a vacuum meter!
Hi David! Thank you for the comment, it's quite an oversight on our part. We weren't dealing with liquids or marinades here, so a single seal was suffice. If we ever got the chance to revisit this sealer, we'll definitely take your advice to mind!
I already use one of these but found this video to be well done! The production values and the presentation was nicely handled.
Glad it was helpful
Thank you so much!
@@HealthyKitchen101 It was; good job! I think I'll check out some of your channel's other videos, too as I find appliance reviews neat, lol
I love my Nesco VS-12
I used it for the first time yesterday. I had 5 sausage bags to seal. I noticed that after I vacuum sealed the first two bags, the machine did not remove the air from the third one. After 6 minutes I made 2 bags again. And again the machine did not remove the air from the last bag. My question is how long should I wait between each bag for it to be sealed ?
That's very unusual, because we've vacuumed 5-6 bags back-to-back without any problem. The sealer shouldn't be overheating after only 2 bags (usually it takes a dozen or more.)
If you can still hear the motor working when you push the button, we suspect it's a bag-related problem, or that the bag's not aligned correctly with the vacuum channel (we ran into this problem before-the sealer won't seal correctly unless the bag's aligned perfectly within the channel.)
