@snowden67 actually he was playing down the delivery on purpose, with the intention of tricking the audience that there would be a double over. After he read the ARP, the contestant just started flopping about before he could even tell her about the DSW, hence the pause.
I'm happy for Tiffany winning both showcases and becoming the first Double Showcase Winner for Season 39. To be honest, I thought she was over but I'm glad she wasn't :)
I disagree. Drew hates double overbids more than anyone, so he goes through this monlogue hoping for a happy ending, and in many cases it works, some of them DSW's. I like when he does this, it's holding out for hope.

I really thought things would change for Randy. He FINALLY got up there, just as the last game was played. But that overbid made it even more painful. ouch. :(

@DownsA530 Sometimes, I think if Drew sees a contestant going crazy he drops back on purpose and lets the contestant's celebration play out. The break-dance after a contestant hits the 25 grand on the wheel is an example. The MDS where Michael ran for the prizes after he won the million was another example. His professional photography skills show there. If the contestant is extremely jubilant, drop back.
