sparta fans had a small area to be in, so their atmosphere is obviously going to be weaker, but i'm glad czechia is finally getting some recognition in football! :D

I was the first time to a football match in Prague, when Slavia played against Karvina a few weeks ago and I got really impressed by the support of the Slavia Fans. It was really crazy and i can't even imagine how the fans would be in a derby against Sparta. 😎
Haha what a coincidence, the internet certainly makes the world a bit smaller. I am from Karvina lol its a small city on the opposite side of czechia, we recently got back to the first division but we dont play well.

Been there twice with Feyenoord, The roar from the stands when they scored was amazing to see. Luckily we won though. But the stadium is also really nice, the wooden ceiling is also a nice touch

Every year I travel to Europe for football, and this country is next on my list to visit. The mixture of culture and football should be an unforgettable experience!
I think we all should focus more on Czech football, this is amazing. I've only seen an ice hockey match of Sparta in Prague almost 20 years ago, lol. They are both amazing clubs and I heard of the huge rivalry, but somehow I seem to prefer Slavia with its beautiful crest which is a and plain and simple red star.

Man really great video, now come to Trnava to derby vs Slovan Bratislava 22.10. It is biggest rivalry in Slovakia, the cities are 40 km apart. Both has around 20 000 capacity of stadium and their matches are usually sold out!

Happy that you liked our Prague derby, i was at that match too, as a supporter of sparta though. It was insane, but it is unfortunate you didnt understand óur language, you would see the choreos and match a bit differently(maybe for the better)
Slavia Prague together with Banik Ostrava have the best and loudest fans in the country. Otherwise about the goulash. it's a traditional Hungarian dish and goulash in bread is a classic tourist scam, so be careful, you probably paid a lot more for it than you should 😅

First of all, Slavia was founed at the Letná, Sparta aswell, but like you sad, Slavia was unliked club in the communism, and in the WW2 stadium of Slavia was burned by germen nacism and after thet the communist government build on that place a monument to Stalin, so Slavia was forced to move. But not at Vinohrady, as you said, but at Vršovice. Where is another prague club Bohemians. The matches between big "S" and Bohemians is called small prague derby. There is a few translitions from the video: Under the fisrt banner was "Ve jménu Slavie- bojujeme jako jeden" = "In the name of Slavie we fight as one". The bigger Choreo was a part from our (slavia) chant "Sparta kurva je" means "Sparta is a bitch". 1892 refers to the date when the club was founded (a one year earleyer than Sparta). And the chant and the end of the video is typical thenksgiving with player and fans. The text is: "Červeno-bílá, bojová síla, Slavia Praha, Vždycky jsme s váma, po výhře, po prohře, a proto, ať žije Slavie" = "Red and white, fighing power, Slavia Praha, We're always with you, after win, after lose and therefore long live Slavia". The best performence was on Chelsea away. If you want to translate something else, write me :)
You forgot to mention that in 1892, it was Slavia cyclist club that was founded, called ACOS (Academic Cyclist Gang Slavia) Sparta is an older football club than Slavia, because Sparta football was founded in 1893 and Slavia football in 1895.

I am a fan of Sparta and I am very glad that you came to Prague for the "S" Prague derby. This derby is a very underrated event in Europe. At the same time, it is perhaps the biggest rivalry and hatred between clubs in Central Europe. You saw it yourself in the stadium. You just wore a really ugly jersey 😂. The only thing I would strongly disagree with in your video is the sentence that Sparta was supported by the government during communism. This is the narrative used by Slavia fans to denigrate Sparta. Yes, during communism, its stadium on Letná was reconstructed, but it had been standing there since 1917. The club that was promoted during communism in Czechoslovakia was Dukla Praha. This was an army, therefore also a state team, which was made up of players who had to undergo basic military service and then could stay in the club. Therefore, Sparta, Slavia and other clubs lost a lot of great players like this. For example, Golden Ball winner Josef Masopust stayed in Dukla for his entire career. Why the rivalry between Sparta and Slavia is so special is not only the origin of the clubs from social strata, but also tradition. Both clubs are supported not only by fans from Prague, but from the entire Czech Republic. In addition, together the two clubs have won 58 championship titles, 32 national cups and 4 Central European cups, and that is already a decent collection of trophies.

@@GroundhopperFC Would be nice if you visit Prague derby on Letná one day too. Also I forgrt to mention that during communism years Sparta was forced to rename for Spartak. The reason was obviously to get more Soviet name for the club. Fans actually hated this and also during communism Sparta was for the first time (and also the last time) relegated from the Czekoslovakian top division. If the communist government actually supported Sparta it won´t get relegated. I am watching your videos very often and I must say you are doing amazing job! Keep it up ❤👍

That intro info about both clubs origin and history is something a Slavia fan would tell you. Not the actual truth. Notice how Sparta comes out of it only bad and Slavia only good? I can only assume you asked someone at Slavia stadium. Sparta was even relagated during communism, for example. Would that happen to a pet club of commies? Of course not. That was Dukla Prague, the army club. Slavia wasn't punished by government during communism, Slavia is simply less successful pre-communism, during communism and post-communism, currently owned by Chinese communists. Weirdly enough Slavia fans suddenly are not concerned about being owned by communists from Chinese dictatorship. So much for their moral stance regarding communism. But they simply got used to the victim mentality. Sparta overall has more titles and also better results in Europe both in the pre-war era and in the modern era, reaching 3rd place in modern Champions League, a result that Slavia will never even come close to.
