- In this video I'm working on abstracting from an image and will show you a classic example of overworking a painting and what I did to fix it. I'll also share some thoughts on why this happens, how to keep this aggravating issue from happening and also, what to do if it does. Trust me it happens to the best of us !

this was so informative and helpful....the idea of making a bunch of mistakes on something small then moving onto a bigger piece really makes sense...thanks so much!
Hi Linda 👋glad you found this useful !
Thank you for sharing that Andrea. I can totally relate as I constantly struggle with myself to keep things simple. Really love your final painting. It is beautiful.
It can be a challenge to keep it simple for sure ! And thank you 😉
Thank you for being so real and sharing your “I should have stopped” momentz😅 doing a sketch 1st is extremely helpful thx❤️
Thank you, Andrea. Boy, do I know what it's like to overwork. Great video and great final work in the show.
Hi there! Thanks and yep overworking is an annoyingly common thing !
I’m taking the idea of blind drawing to make a start for my painting!
It’s a great way to start especially if you want an abstract to seem like an object place interior or whatever without it being explicit
What an incredibly helpful demo! Ty
So glad to hear that !
' . . . more and more, making all the mistakes and doing all the things . . .' someone's been reading my mail! Great vid -- happy hols!

Great video. Boy, can I relate! Thanks so much for sharing. I see you used acrylic paint. What medium are you using? Thanks!
Any fluid acrylic medium will work
As one who sometimes overwork, this is one hot mess. I'm waiting for the spray bottle to make its appearance.
How so?
Is this acrylic or oil? Id guess acrylic
Acrylic yes
Wow, it looks like a girl walking from behind with shorts on with one side red & one side gray.
