Ahh...yes. Reminds me of when I was just a young lad in England back in the 1530's. Seems just like yesterday.
You were
Very nice playlist. The lute disappeared in the middle of 18e century because it was not loud enough in the modern orchestra. Also because it was quite an aristocratic instrument not very "affordable" (the cost of maintenance of a lute per month was equal to the cost of a horse !!! due to the gut chords, extremely expensive and breaking easily), and the common people could not read the tablatures. But it is a fantastic instrument, very demanding to play well, offering a wide repertoire : beside italian music, France, Germany, Spain and England produced also many genius that composed for the lute like Bach, Weiss, De Visée, Dowland, Purcell... I play lute, archlute and theorbo for 40 years and I'm still discovering treasures almost every day ! Enjoy 😄
Thank you for taking time to write about the lute...Great picture!
great, beautiful and gentle instrument! I love it!
Translate: Exquisite music, aristocratic, magical...how good it is that it has survived to this day, and we have the pleasure of hearing the sounds made by the marvelous strings of the lute. Thank you.
I played some of these pieces transcribed for guitar and they can sound fine, but when you hear them on lute there really isn’t a comparison. While the lute doesn’t have the tonal range of a guitar its sheer resonance and dignity win out every time. Wonderful recording.
Yes, it's pure magic.
I looked up lute songs because I was reading The Name of the Wind. This helps me imagine it perfectly! Thank you!!
Wow that's the exact reason I'm here too
also here for same reason
Same reason😄😆
What's the book about?
Greetings frm Japan~!!
This piece is a pleasure for my ears. Enchanting music and the playing is excellent.
I had an Ear-Gasm.
Purity, elegante ay it's finest degree, minimal resources with the deepest AND most beautiful melodías, perfecto harmony...that Is baroque AND renaissance música to me
WONDERFUL! Great lute technique without the overpowering reverb that 99% of players use. You certainly don't need it! THANK YOU!
Thank you for posting this beautiful music from whenever and whatever period hair-splitters want to spout on about. In terms of the age of the Universe it's of no importance.
Perfect.
¡Fabuloso!

@@redapple5937 a girl never give her age away I was born in 1644 but the lute is a beautiful 💓 instrument and I studied mediaeval history someone feels when was almost there minus the fleas 😂
Very Nice
Very nice
Thanks! It's great
The sound character is 'too close', 'too forward'. It would be nice to have a more distant spacious sound.
Love it.
Thanks abaut that lovely songs
Por fim uma mulher! que melodia radiante.
This might be 'classical' lute music but it is certainly not lute classical music. As pointed out, all the composers are early renaissance. The actual title of the album is "Peschatore che va cantando... Intabolatura de leuto de diversi autori Milano Antonio Casteliono 1536".
The timings of the second and third last tracks are not correct. They should be:
00:54:53 Saltarello ditto el Burato
00:56:38 3 Fantasias: Fantasia casteliono
.
Tal vez la cultura salve a la humanidad.
Bellissimo
so nice
Thanks for posting this! My dogs love it 🙂
😍😍😍
What do you call "baroque" in this selection? It seems to be only music from the Renaissance (even if late Renaissance for some pieces)
Good we have people like you! Sir may I ask what recording devices / programmes are you (did you) using for recording? Thank you and greetings from Sweden.
💝🕊️
😘
🙏❤️❤️🇵🇹

Someone actually played this music for the recording, but their name is not listed unless.. their name is actually "Lute Classical Music", the only name under Artist.. The performers identity has been erased, good people do not post videos but hide the artist's name.
The name of the lutenist is listed in the Notes (above). You have to click on "more".
thanks for updating the information and listing the performer. @@excelsior999
This makes me laugh. As a lute player myself, I can assure you there is no such thing as classical lute music. And classical music of the baroque and renaissance! Huh? They are 3 completely different types of music. Then all the pieces (and I mean ALL) are renaissance pieces. The composers all published around 1550 or before. There is no baroque pieces on this collection at all.
But fantastic playing.
Just listen and fuck off
Actually, i quite enjoyed your fun facts thank you so much!! Hope your day is swell :)
they likely put those in the title so it would pop up in more searches.
No one cares but fuckin art teachers man
Just enjoy the music please
the label 'baroque' is indeed entirely off. Some people seem to think it doesn't matter how you label things, but in our understanding of the world it really does help if things are called what they are.
I don't really understand why batman's message incites some people to curse, apparently it invokes some strong emotion in them. Is it such an offence to point out a misnomer in a title ?
As for the label 'classical' well.... that is used so colloquially that by now I think it has come to mean pretty much any music that's played on instruments without an electric cable attached.
When i listen a la music , i feel like walking nude in my gardens. A la Nute melba melon
is this only lute? sometimes it sounds like harps too
You can change the title. Lovely music, 😍 but misleading title. Renaissance *or* Baroque: they are not the same. (But, though "classical music" is, properly speaking, only from the 17th to mid-18th centuries in Europe, I understand why you said that part. It is a common phrase for all instrumental or pre-20th-century music.)
Big deal. It's music.
This is beautiful, and is completely Renaissance, not Baroque.
Beautiful but not baroque. Pre baroque.
なして?
Yup
no PescHatore. PESCATORE is correct
El lute robaba gallinas a Franco
To the young lady in the picture: "You play the lute beautifully. Have you mastered any other instruments?"
She: "I am highly accomplished on the skin flute. May I play a tune on yours?"
that's really gross
You're definitely on the wrong channel, dude.
@@excelsior999 Probably, but YT doesn't have a right channel for that sort of thing.
