    I really hope you enjoyed this episode of the Surprise Reviews series. Even though I like to talk about men's style, grooming, etiquette, dating and other men's lifestyle-related items on the channel, this video was extra special because, Dorian thought it would be fun to get my thorough review of a hole-less belt system since I've been pretty critical of them in the past. Kudos to the Kore Essential team, knowing my distaste for them, still stepped up and said they wanted my honest assessment. I don't even know, if I was on the other end, if I would have done that, as well.

    I own two Kore track belts in black and brown and love them. I will never go back to wearing a regular belt with holes again that's for sure. Kore track makes the fit perfect and super comfortable. Not to mention the style and quality is first rate better than my old belts. Honestly, these are the best part of my wardrobe. Get one, you'll be glad you did.

    As opposed to the typical advertisements you see nowadays, honest reviews like this are soooo much more useful and valuable..
    As for the belt, I'm with you on this one Ashley...there's nothing wrong with classic belts to me.

    TRAKLINE BELT -- I’m glad I bought two!
    One black, one brown -- that pretty much covers all my fashion needs! This would be a great belt at a great price even if it was a conventional belt. The quality and workmanship of the leather and the design and feel of the buckle are that good. That I can easily fine-tune the fit of the belt for whatever reason is a bonus. It's such a simple concept, you wonder why no one thought of it sooner, but the way it is executed -- the ratcheting mechanism, the hidden quick-release -- show a lot of design work and engineering went into this product. Extremely well-executed. And the on-line purchasing experience was simple and swift. I strongly recommend this product and the website. Thanks!

    I got my husband a Kore brand belt last Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It's a great gift because they use it and you don't have to worry about sizing. One belt fits all. My husband wears it about every day and loves to show everyone how it works. As a woman I’m not sure I understand it, and it's been awkward more than once, but I guess that doesn’t matter. The buckles and belts do seem very well constructed, even better than Nordstroms belts. All the men in my family wear them and love them too. Strange but true.

    SO true! I have 2 of these belts from Kore and I absolutely love them. I can’t believe it took someone so long to figure this out - but it was worth the wait. This belt is way better. Gentlemen if you’re looking for a new belt and want something better - this is it. It’s more than just better, it’s the best belt ever made.

    The only thing better than receiving my first Kore Essentials Belt was receiving my second Kore Essentials Belt. This time I went with a Nickel Plated Buckle. The quality was just as superb as the Stainless Steel Buckle. Now I can mix and match both my buckles and leather straps to make different combinations. Setup was again extremely easy and I was using my belt right away. This time I got the hanger for my belts. It is really a great addition. Now I can hang both my belts nicely in my closet. I highly recommend anyone who gets the belts to opt in for the hanger too. It is definitely worth it. Again my hats off to Kore Essentials for making a highly superior product. Their belts feel much more natural and snug than a traditional buckle. I would imagine that is because I can adjust the size with much more control. Traditional buckles are either two loose or two tight. Thanks again.

    Kore is Outstanding quality!

    No more too loose or overly tight belts
    Using the Kore Trakline belt is the only way to really understand the limitation of most regular belts with holes. I love this belt and show off to friends. I will definitely buy it again. Awesome product and awesome quality!

    Loving my new belt!
    I am really enjoying my new Trakline belt. I've been a fan of the ratcheting belts for a few years now and this was my first on from Kore. I'm 6' 2" and 225 pounds and my waistline DOES fluctuate based on everything from how much I've eaten to which pants I'm wearing. Having the quarter inch adjustments is great! I've had a couple others from a different company and they were nice belts but eventually they wore out and I needed a replacement. Because of their buckle style my wife referred to them as my "Boyscout belts" so when I saw I could get a quality ratcheting belt with a normal looking buckle I was pretty happy about it. I considered buying cheap but read some reviews and made the decision to spend a little extra on something that was real leather and looked solid. Definitely worth the extra money. I've only been wearing it a few weeks but so far I have no complaints and I don't expect to down the road. This is a nice belt.....get one, spend a couple weeks with it and you won't wear anything else.

    My Kore belt is the coolest belt I ever had. It's an awesome addition to my wardrobe, only problem is it’s made my other ‘regular’ belts obsolete! Very well made, quality is top-notch and works exactly as described. If you’re on the fence about purchasing one - just do it. You’ll have no regrets!

    This is the best belt I have ever owned. The Trakline system works exceptionally well and is 100% better than traditional belts with holes.The dress belt is made with full grain leather and seems to be very high quality. The fit, finish and function of this belt system more than makes it a must have for any man. Also would make great gift. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

    I love my Kore belt and wallet. I like that the belt looks like a traditional belt with the features of a click track style belt. High quality leather. The wallet is super light and very functional. Love both. Customer service was phenomenal, had to change an item on the order called on a sat. Did not leave a message and they still called back and made the change. Highly recommended.

    So far this Kore belt has been awesome. It holds my S&W 9mm 2.0 compact with NO problem. It's a solid gun belt. If you have back issues this is the belt for you. I've had 3 back surgeries and usually can't wear a belt for a long time. Let me tell you, with this belt being stiff if distributes all the weight and pressure equally all the way around your waist. I love the quarter inch adjustment. I can wear this belt all the time with with a iwb holster. I wear this belt with and without my gun, it's that good.

    I love that fact that you guys did this review. I'm just partial to belt systems but I know where Ashley's coming from. I am still partial to Anson because, in my opinion, they take care of most of the critiques she mentions in this video. I.E. A buckle that looks more traditional (theirs even comes without the notch shown with this one), not too thick, and almost all of the belts I've seen are very matte and a lot of them cloth for casual.

    Hi! Before asking any question I wanted to say sorry for any grammatical error :)
    I have two questions for you: I live in Italy and especially between the young adults there's the trend to use suspenders but in a casual way and I'd like to know what do you think about it.
    The second question is about man salopette : yesterday I was in Milan and I saw in a store a man salopette and I thought about buying it, the only thing that stopped me was that I felt too old to use it ( I'm 20 y.o. ), What do you think?

All are high quality, all have different customization options, and then there is the belt warranty. I actually prefer the ratchet belts over traditional ones because of the fit and customization. So what you say you guys on this?

    There are a lot of these adjustable belts coming out and they are just a way better design than traditional belts. The Trakline belts are the best I have seen, and I really love mine. Well-done. I've missed the personality of AW. Kudos to Dorian for making this a hoot to watch. I think he should randomly incorporate other fears into every other surprise review. Please tell me that someone else was laughing at the double meaning of ratchet.
    As far as the Kore Essential belts go, I find that they are pretty nifty for casual wear (especially the grey one), although I do wish the buckles were far more understated (couldn't agree with you more about that). If they had simple buckles and made quality dress belts I would be more sold but well-made dress belts can last for years too, even though they have holes. :) As a side note, if you're of an average size, you can waste a bit of leather when you cut to size in the initial stage. Another side note on the positive side, is that you can silently adjust these belts to holding the mechanism while you maneuver it.
    Perhaps future iterations will take your criticisms to heart and provide more classic options. That being said, these were mostly marketed as EDC, casual, work belts, not traditional fashion ones, hence the flaws.

    I've been going back over your videos since I'm still a fairly new subscriber and I'm so disappointed in you both for the way you both seemed to trash Anson belts, but now seem to be endorsing the Kore belts. With that said I'm a fluffy person and the slide/ratchet belts have actually been a wonderful innovation giving me more style options and some self confidence. So, I know this video is just over a year old, but I think it would be nice to take a look at the pro's and cons of ratchet belts. Maybe to talk about who or in what situations they would fit and with so many companies out there now, it would be nice to go back and do a comparison of what some of the companies are offering. Just saying, but I do understand it's your channel.

      Idk, it'll be hard to top the snake coiled in with the belts. Maybe review some shoe strings and throw a spider in there?

    Maybe if the put the belt on the right way, the mechanism wouldn't be so pronounced

    Current video: “Ok but this one is great! Way better than normal belts. In fact, normal belts are inconvenient.”

    Funny I saw the Anson Belt video...I happen to have a few and they are awesome...The system is great and she is obviously clueless...Overnight she approves...obviously she's a sell out bc all it took was some money for her to review Kore-no comparison.

      Sunny Wynter I thought so as well. I usually hate when youtubers get paid to review and they end up loving everything about the product. They addressed this in the video though. Ashley disliked the design and bulk of anson belts. Here she said she only approved one of the buckles, the one looking like a normal belt, but it's still a little bulky. She said she wasn't a huge fan of the leather colors either. I don't see how this is being a sellout. Someone paid to have their product reviewed and she responded with critique.

      Sunny Wynter What did you mean by 'no comparison'? Have you also tried a Kore Trakline? I'm trying to decide on Anson or Kore. I prefer my 1.25" dress belt straps to have a traditional looking buckle. Too bad the one Kore offers only fits 1.4" straps though. The word is Kore leather straps are higher quality than Anson?... Or did you only mean that she did not compare Kore with Anson when she should have?

      @MBisFrenchy Před 7 lety +1

      +Hume108 I have both Anson and Kore, the leather seems better on the Kore I have the 1.4 for both in leather and causal for Anson. Anson dress not a fan of the buckle has a very large gap between the buckle and the leather its very noticeable.

    • @MBisFrenchy
      @MBisFrenchy Před 7 lety

      +Hume108 Oh the E shape she has is only 1.4 not dress size.

    • @Hume108
      @Hume108 Před 7 lety

      Yes I know, that's what I said, the E-shape is only for 1.4". Kore's dress size of 1.1" is too small for my taste. 1.25" dress size I like, this is why I'm looking at Anson. You said you have '1.4 for both in leather'. both what? Both Kore's smooth and double stitch? And what about them? Do you like one over the other? Would you say the smooth is more of a casual and double stitch more of a dressy strap? Does the 1.4" look too wide to be dressy? You also said you have the 1.5" Anson casual. And how is it compared to the Kore? You're not a fan of the 1.25" Anson dress you say. So the larger Anson casual does not have a gap between buckle and strap like the smaller dress belt? Which do you recommend? I love everything about Anson except for the buckle. Hope Anson is working on making the perfect buckle, thinner and subtle like the E-shape, for formal wear.
