- A video tribute to Scott Hall, also known as Razor Ramon.
"The Bad Guy" found a ton of success while working in the WWF from 1992 to 1996. Remembered as one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions in WWF history and setting a standard with his outstanding ladder matches with Shawn Michaels, Razor's work in the WWF / WWE led to Scott becoming one of the company's most popular superstars. While throwing his toothpick at the camera and proclaiming he "wanted the world and everything in it", Razor Ramon captivated fans with both his character and in-ring work.
In 1996 however, he and fellow Kliq buddy Kevin Nash would show up in WCW and the wrestling world was turned upside down. Portrayed as company "outsiders" who wanted to begin a battle with tradition, Hall and Nash would kickstart a true wrestling revolution when the nWo became the most talked about storyline and faction in the world. Not only did The Outsiders change how WCW operated, they also had a big effect on how the WWF would present their shows.
This video pays tribute to Scott Hall, his accomplishments in wrestling, and how he was able to enjoy his achievements after going through some dark times.

There wasn't a dude who oozed more coolness than Scott... He had that it factor. No matter what group he was in he always stood out. He will truly be missed
agreed he just oozed coolness and machismo
And there’s not a funnier dude on CZcams than you Chiseled A! Keep making us laugh and thank you
💯👊🏾🖤
Scot was half of the shadow realm tag team champions
Yup
When I was a kid, I would grab toothpicks from the counter of whatever restaurant we were leaving as a family and throw them at my brother like Razor Ramon.
Same!
You're speaking my language! We'd have gotten along great - throwing tooth picks at our brothers! 🤣
I threw them at my sister :(( lolol I'll never look at toothpicks without thinking abt Chico. R.I.P Scott Hall
Who didnt
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When he joined WWF in 1992 he quickly became my favourite heel. When he turned face in 1993 he became my favourite wrestler period. A wrestler death hasn't hit me this hard since Eddie Guerrero. Thank you Scott.
Truly, I felt Hall's passing pretty hard. Razor was my favorite in the pre-Attitude era, and Hall and Nash's NWO was my absolute favorite during that time. I was rooting for him as he worked on rehabbing his health with DDP. Rest in peace Scott Hall, you will be missed.
Love Scott Hall, and I sure hear you on Eddie.
Both were as good as it gets in the business.
He was a way better heel in his time inside WCW
Man, his passing almost felt like losing a close family member. A part of my childhood has passed. Scott will be missed by friends, family and fans dearly.
Yeah man, I said on another channel that I was 8 when he and HBK had the Wrestlemania X ladder match, and Razor Ramon is what made me love wrestling, and it felt like losing a close friend from my childhood. This guy proceeded to tell me how ridiculous that was, but obviously there's a ton of others that feel the same way.
@Louis. Not to be conceded though man, that was well said. It's just good to see so many voicing the same lament.
Louis, well said man
Exactly @Louis
@Bobby Woods millions feel this way. Razor didn't get me hooked on wrestling but he damb sure kept me invested. And besides bret vs shawn at wm12, that wm10 ladder match had me hook line and sinker. And to hell with ol boy from the other channel.
ITS NOT THAT DEEP MAN, IT CANT BE
Rest In Peace Razor. 🥀

WWE should offer Wrestling Bios a Legends Contract for working tirelessly to preserve and promote WWE legends' legacies.
i 100% agree they should but he has to say "no thanks i'm good" he wouldn't be true to himself or his channel then selling it and doing it the way someone else orders him to do it, the reliving the war is the best series out there if it got in the hands of the E it would be wcw beat us for 83 weeks then we crushed them the end
Can you imagine what we could see if Bios had uninhibited access to the WWE libraries. Kind of like NFL films.
@Stephen Greenhorn they must be aware as they often block the PPV uploads
A pure legends contract, with his own video game character, I'd pre-order 2k23 to slam people with Ryan's own Razor's Edge.
@Stephen Greenhorn they’re without a doubt aware of channels like this, like beechy006 said they’ve spent enough time copyright striking channels like this in the past that it’s clear they pay some attention
The Rock himself has said that he studied everything that Scott Hall did and has thanked hall for his work
I was literally just coming here to say, I don't think we get a Rock without Scott Hall. Getting over as a heel and even the working punches. You could even say Hall's chokeslam was the prototype for the rock bottom.
His punches definitely hall influence
The Rock is a biter
+Kas58223 I KNEW this was true!! I KNEW it! I'm a major fan of both Scott Hall & The Rock.
I knew Rocky got inspiration from Razor Ramon when he was developing The Rock character.
Both had their hometown as Miami, Florida even though it was for different reasons.
Rock's punches felt hard like Razor's punches. And we both know about that effortless SWAG both had.
They weren't exactly the same obviously but you could see the influence Scott Hall had on Dwayne Johnson.
It's probably the reason why these 2 are among my TOP faves in pro wrestling.
I knew this was true even way back when. Glad to have it confirmed.
@@yeezynapkins2970 Also him mocking the Giant's chokeslam always makes me laugh till this day.
It's weird. I never thought I liked this guy until now, after he died. He stands out as a cultural marker of an era.
You want a war? You gonna get one.
Such an epic line.
Ukraine
Some people just have that cool factor. Scott Hall had that in spades. That toothpick flick could more of a reaction than most today. Rest easy legend.
Scott wasn't cool..
Cool was Scott
"Hey Yo" *crowd pops instantly*
my father was not a wrestling fan but the toothpick throw plus "yo chico" was something, IS SOMETHING that he and i both would imitate. fyi i was born in '88 and we both do it to this day
After everything he went through….at least he got clean & defeated his demons. This hurts man. I remember growing up and watching Nitro with my mom, she loved wrestling. Getting older can really suck when you have to say goodbye. But at least we had some great memories while doing so.
Rest easy, Razor🤘
Unfortunately he ultimately did not though. After the pandemic hit, Scott relapsed and went back to heavy drinking. He fell whilst he was drunk and couldn't get to a phone to call for help and was stranded for hours. That's why he needed the hip replacement surgery.
There's a photo on his Instagram from 2016 where, at 57, he looks in phenomenal shape and the best he'd been in for years. He clearly deteriorated drastically again. It's so sad.
@@ZakynthosDiamandis unfortunately I believe this..Alcoholism is a real thing..RIP legends
Razor Ramon is basically the first thing I’d probably show someone who had never heard of pro wrestling. They’d get it immediately.
…& 1st WWF run of Macho Man.
Just show them his time in WCW cause to me that was his glory days as Scott Hall
"When you first lay your eyes Scott hall, you take notice". This couldn't have been any truer for me. I remember being a kid in 95, flipping through the channels 1 day when I came across my first professional wrestling match. It was Razor vs. Eli Blu in a KOTR qualifier. Instantly hooked, I hastily opened a blank VHS cassette in order to tape the rest of the match. I've been a fan ever since . . .
Amazing!
Eli Blu??? Who dis?
@@tonycondegnimustafa435 One of the Harris Brothers, aka The Disciples of Apocalypse or DOA in the attitude era. This incarnation featured them w/ hair & managed by "Dirty" Dutch Mantell aka Zeb Colter, as "Uncle Zebekiah. The 3 portraying stereotypes of "southern white trash ranch hands"
HHH said something similar.. that they'd crash and go out for meals.. and 10 minutes before a match, he'd do some pushups, unfold like a praying mantis, put on his gold chains, and look 3 ft taller OO
I wasn't a fan of Tito Santana. So in Razor Ramon's 1st video when he said "Chiko", I knew I LOVED him!
I remember in an interview that someone had asked him about suicide and how common it was for his fellow peers or just passing away at the age.
He would say something on the line of 'I'll let it naturally happen' or ' I'll let God decide that one, If he wants me home, I'll go home'.
RIP Razor, you fought until the end and you have seriously made this world a better place, only because now with the internet, people can see all the stories of what Scott Hall has done and it's coming to light how cool and humble this man was.
Sure, he wasn't perfect, and neither are any one of us to judge, but from what most collected, he always gave back and treated people with respect.
You'll be missed so much.
You won the real championship title, which was our hearts and memories.
Thank you for making my childhood amazing. The Razor blades, the charisma, everything about this man was absolutely, OOZING MACHISMO.
Razor and Macho Man were two of my heroes as a child. I would run around the house imitating them all the time. Thumping toothpicks at my dad and diving off the back of the couch to elbow drop him. We saw them live a few times in the WCW days. Good memories that remind me of my pop. May they all three rest in peace
Also a prime example of a guy who was so good he didn't *need* the title to be over.
Hopefully he got his flowers while he was alive, and it's good he turned his life around and got to live a little post wrestling.
Didn't need the title ? Name the the stars who came on top at that time.
Lex kamiya
No, he didn't need to win the title. He was just as relevant and over with or without any gold. His personality, charisma, and understanding of what made wrestling work, or not work, meant he was always a crowd favorite.
I’ve seen a lot of wrestlers pass in my lifetime, but Hall’s passing hit harder than any other. Like losing a piece of my childhood.
It's crazy how much a man I never met and didn't really know affected my life. I'm sure there's millions of others that feel that way too. I'm sad he's gone but I'm grateful for the years he gave us and for the influence in all our lives.
Great video friend, thanks for doing this.
I think it's a nostalgia factor or you may relate to him based on dealing with addiction.
For me being born in 1984 and watching Pro wrestling in the 90s, it's nostalgia for me.
💯
100% as a child this was my hero!!
Well said!
it's crazy.. and if i were to take a stab at it - is that he cared about the fans - in the sense that w/ every promo, he would talk to the fans, not at the fans, or use the fans to make a point, or talk to other wrestlers, he would look at the fans, and interact w/ us directly :) he will be missed
Scott was one of the first wrestlers I ever saw along with Jake the Snake, Macho Man, Hulk Hogan and the Undertaker. Between them and others I became hooked on wrestling. Rest in Peace Scott. You'll be missed.
Ok
Looking back What a impact this man made the nwo is still interesting to talk about 25+ years latter
Scott Hall told DDP to give him a Diamond Cutter instead of the way Eric Bischoff/Kevin Sullivan wanted and he told Sting to change from a surfer to Brandon Lee's character as The Crow
@@danielwilliams5139 facts what a great guy Scott Hall is
@@danielwilliams5139 he was always down 2 put over others👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
People really underestimate Scott's impact on the business, he kickstarted the Monday night wars and was the first guy who made being a heel cool.
I’ll Say that savage invented walking the line between heel and face, Jake Roberts wasn’t far behind. It was different from Flair, you could cheer for him, but he was a heel through and through. On the other hand, you literally WANTED savage to turn face, you wanted Roberts to turn face, same with Razor.
@@NickWeissMusic and not long after Scott we got Steve. I would also put Shawn Michaels in that category, at least for the girls who watched wrestling. I remember my aunt having a huge crush on him back in the 90s. She was so pissed when he lost to Razor Ramon in mania X 😂. Remembering now he had so many face/heel turns like big show.
Awesome stuff man, very beautifully put together. Gave me goosebumps as it went on.
When I think of guys who wear the belts the best I think of Bret with the winged eagle, Goldberg with the WCW big gold belt, and Razor with the IC belt. They just look so good with those belts around their waist
That working punch is a thing of beauty
It's sad that most of the wrestlers don't make it to 65 or 70 years, I don't know it's a curse of something but it's happening.
Years of steriod abuse
This has me crying 30 seconds in...Scott was my guy
Indeed. Only two wrestlers have made me cry upon hearing their deaths. Rowdy Roddy Piper and Scott Hall. This eulogy by wrestling bios was hard to watch to say the least.
This man gave me some of my fondest childhood memories. His WrestleMania X ladder match with Shawn Michaels is one of my all-time favourite matches. R.I.P, Chico.
What’s the most tragic part is how he had cleaned up and was getting around sharing his insights, I enjoyed his performances growing up and had no idea how incredibly aware and insightful he was. RIP BadGuy!
No, the real tragedy is he could not stay clean.
He clearly deteriorated drastically again in his final years, it wasn't just old age. It's so sad.
I do agree with you in that Scott was the absolute best and most compelling story teller of the wrestling world.
The line about the superstars not growing old brought a tear to my eye😢
Steve Austins King of the Ring Promo, and The Outsiders. Those are the most important introductions to the Attitude era. Hogan should praise Nash and Hall for revitalizing his career. Too sweet RIP
Hogan already said that
Yeah seeing as Hogan didn't even wanna do it!!!!! He didn't wanna give up the yellow and red gimmick he had all his life! Without Hall and Nash Hogan wouldn't have ever had that second run as a heel!!!!!
This was a masterpiece of a tribute. The coolest wrestler then, now, forever
I remember my brothers telling me that the "new guy" in WWF was a huge dude that threw toothpicks at opponents and wore gold chains. Razor was the first wrestler that all 3 of my brothers and myself really loved, and he was a heel. We weren't supposed to like heels back then lol.
Absolutely love how mention Scott's own hard work to get sober and not just give DDP all the credit, a proper team effort and massive respect to everyone involved - it sucks that he's no longer with us, but I'm very grateful we got those extra years where he was happy and healthy.
I didn't realize how much I loved him until he died. I cried my eyes out. He wasn't even in my top 5 but the memories he gave us... those moments are priceless
My wife only knows wrestling through watching documentaries, including DDPs about Jake and Scott. Even she too, was saddened and knew Scott was special.
He was that good, you can't help but take notice ❤️
Thank you.
I was 14 when Razor debuted, and I remember every promo like it was yesterday. He will be sorely missed, but him and Curt will be teaming in heaven.
If they were saved I hope
I have always said this to my friends that Scott Hall was THE reason the monday night wars became a thing. The tone he set walking through that crowd on Ntiro that night was the single most significant thing to happen to pro wrestling in the last 30 years. I wasn't even a big WCW fan but I ALWAYS watched when Hall and Nash were on. Saddened by his passing. He was a true LEGEND
17:07 YES! I've always thought this was the absolute best stunner sell of all time!
From an all around stand point Scott should make it on anyones top 10:
Great on the mic
Great image
Great charisma
Great height and size
Great mind for the business
Great in the ring.
Hey yo, eff Luger, Big Scott hall was the total package.
I heard about his passing about 10 minutes after reading he was even in the hospital. It hit harder than expected. All those memories and moments came back. Been waiting for this video ever since. Love what you do. Great tribute here.
My sentiments exactly. It hit hard and I've been waiting for this vid too.
Same.. forglt how big he was to me when I was younger. Tough one for sure
Hit me hard as well. I use to always pretend to be him when I was younger and me and my friends played wrestlin
It's a loss of that part of the past that kept us entertained growing up or even through our adulthood. Scott did an excellent job in both WWF and WCW. Even when he came back to the WWF he did an exceptionally good job!
Maannn, I am so grateful for DDP in helping out Scott and Jake. Without him, Scott may have been long gone years ago and would be more unpleasant due to his personal issues that got the best of him. Glad he lived longer than most would have expected.
RIP Razor. You were one of the best!🙏
A beautiful tribute to a wonderful guy. R.I.P Scott. Loved and remembered always and forever.😢😢
He was so effective on the mic.
His feuds with Shawn Michaels, Gold Dust, and The Kid were epic.
And while I really enjoyed him in early NWO, I would have loved to see him reach the title picture in WWF.
Scott hall is one of the greatest intercontinental champions of all time
The greatest.
@Greta Thanos I always thought Razor made the belt cool and worth holding. All love to Perfect tho.
Rip scott hall, absolute legend.
I started watching wrestling in early 1994 and Razor Ramon immediately caught my attention. He was cool. He was outstanding. He was special. Great character. Great guy. Thanks for all the memories.
Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and my man Scott Hall was the reason why I started to watch WCW in 1999 until Monday night Nitro went off air. I'm so happy that WWE 2K included the NWO family in this year's game. An amazing tribute to Scott Hall from the people at 2K 👏🏼
I can't think of any other living wrestler, who when they pass, it impacts me to the degree Scott's passing did to where I felt that "hollow" feeling...
R.I.P. legend.
Scott Hall was one of my earliest favorites. I loved that strut and still try to imitate it to this day. He was the coolest dude.
Scott Hall was definitely one of the best professional wrestlers of all time…Still hard to believe he’s gone. Gone but never forgotten! I was a fan of his my whole life. Being born in ‘88 I remember quite well the days of watching the WWF with my dad in the early 90s. He was one of my favorite wrestlers then, then in the mid to late 90s we started watching WCW a lot more and buying the ppv’s and attending the shows when they came to Jackson TN!
I remember on Monday nights switching back and forth between Nitro and Raw lol…. Didn’t matter if it was “Scott Hall” in WCW or “Razor Ramon” in the WWF he was always my favorite! I’m thankful for the memories!
I'd like to highlight that he eventually managed to conquer his demons so his legacy in pro wrestling wouldn't be permanently stained.
You've left this world holding your head high, Scott.
Truly inspirational. Thank you Scott Hall RIP
Sean Waltman actually revealed that the pandemic and the social isolation was hard on Hall and that he had started drinking again
@@billblaski9523 People who suffer from addictions relapse, especially in situations such as quarantine. That's why Jake Roberts says addicts on rehab have to have the mentality 'One day at a time'.
His WMX entrance is still one of my favorites. Had the foam Razor sign and his early WWF shirt which I git at a house show I'm Fresno.
He was definitely a favorite
We have to give Dallas his flowers for helping Scott when he did. Also we will never forget you big Scott Hall.
There are some in this business who never needed to be world champion to be a legend! RIP Scott, thanks for some great childhood memories 🙏🏾❤️
Genuinely moving. You’re a very lucky man to be able to publicly eulogize someone who clearly had an impact on you.
Scott Hall is the guy who gave me confidence in school, I was a little skinny kid, but finding wrestling again as a teen because of the 2K games, watching those promos, was one of the things that made me who I am today. I’m gonna miss him
Damn I couldn’t have cried more. Razor and WWE were some of the positive times in my childhood. RIP
I was wrestling on my grandma’s couch throwing myself through my toy box when Scott Hall debuted on WCW lol 8 years old. Loved it 🤘🏻
Thank you for doing this.. Scott was and will be my favorite of all time.. His death hit me hard.. R.I.P Scott Hall
Same here. 4 Life.
I loved this guy may he Rest peacefully
When that theme hits just wants to make you wanna walk through the curtain like Scott. That's how much of an impact he had in the wrestling business, and on the wrestling fans. Would have loved for him to have been World Champion but HBK also said in an interview that Scott didn't need it. That lets you know how great he was. Razor Ramon just had that "IT" factor
Great tribute!
Scott Hall is an all-time great because he had it all…size, athleticism, looks, charisma and most importantly, he understood the psychology and storytelling aspect of pro wrestling.
Imagine a prime Scott Hall working in AEW today, with total creative freedom like Punk or Danielson. He’d be at the top.
This was a great tribute. You put your personal feelings into it as a fan and I felt it. RIP Scott 🙏 🕊
Hard to watch because of the impact he had on me as a young man. Thank you Scott Hall. Thank you for making this video.
It took me two weeks to have the courage to watch this. Scott Hall was my favorite wrestler for years as a kid. Prior to the Stunner becoming the finish, my favorite was Razor’s Edge.
Was a huge razor fan as a kid an absolutely loved growing up watching the monday night war an the nwo. Scott was a true legend!
A sincere, heartfelt tribute. Great work 👍
Rest Easy Scott Hall
The person I knew who could give Scott Hall the celebration of being such a huge impact on wrestling. Thank you.
He has one of the best intro as Razor Ramon in the WWF ! A great wrestler ! Loved his finishing move , The Razor's Edge ! The NWO was a good time to watch! R.I.P Scott Hall 💛 Say "HEY YO" to the rest of our wrestling family in Heaven 4us !
He was my and my parents favorite wrestler in the 1990's. Scott and the NWO was my childhood and I will always remember him. R.I.P
it’s literally the best induction speech ever!!! The last lines that everybody quotes. I mean you can’t get no better than that.
He was a legend 🙌
Is
He was. Is means he's still around. Was means he's not with us anymore.
First wrestling event I ever went to was a wwf event in 94. Was so excited to see Razor Ramon perform, my mom bought me the foam razor blade. Such good memories
You are so lucky you have that toothpick he's a hero of mine since 92 when I started watching wrestling
A true Legend. May he rest in Peace.
Scott Hall was such a badass... He had it all RIP Big man 🙏
It sucks what happened, Scott Hall is the perfect example of you don't have to be a world champion to become a big star or a legend in this business. Rest in peace 🙏🙏🙏
It's rare for the passing of someone I didn't know to bring a tear to my eye. The passing of Scott definitely pulled a few tears from my eyes.
Nothing to apologise for in this video: it was pitched perfectly. It's your thoughts, impressions and ideas that keep us here, and videos such as this are the reason why. It was a most fitting and a most enjoyable tribute.
Thank you Chico.
This was beautiful!
Not a doubt, this man smiles down from the ring of lights on you.
Fantastic tribute for Scott Hall. The first wrestler I gravitated to as a kid. My grandma use to be worried because I use to walk around with a toothpick in my mouth lol. Rest easy Scott Hall
I remember when his clips started playing on raw in the 90s... he was the coolest of most and stood out huge. I was saying Hey Yo.. and forgetting certain letters when i spoke. lol Loved his early RR the talk, walk, swag it was all u needed to be cool and he pulled it off 110%
when he became razor was when i 1st started watching wrestling as a kid. he was a part of the last great era of wrestling an helped push wrestling to a new level in the 90s.
A fine tribute to a professor of the art, thanks Mr Hall !
I didn’t really watch him during his WCW days but the more time went on you realise how important he was. A giant of wrestling. RIP Razor
I didn't grow up as a big Razor Ramon/Scott Hall fan, but I can appreciate his contributions to the wrestling business and know that he left a significant impact and influence also. He, to me, is the OG The Rock with the swagger, charisma, looks, and showmanship. Their punches are also very similar. RIP Scott Hall.
This is what he needed a good old wrestling bios send off!! You have done him proud 👏
Beautiful tribute. Wrestling Bios has quickly become my favorite wrestling channel on CZcams. The dedication is amazing and it has been an absolute joy to relive the war week to week with someone who truly understands and respects how truly great the late 90's were to experience as a wrestling fan. Thank you.
Here in Dublin Ireland I didn't get WCW on TV here so I only know him as Razor Ramon from when I was a kid and he was one of my favorite Guy's back then I only seen all his WCW run later on CZcams. RIP Scott Hall.. Hay Yo...

Can’t believe he is gone
l am sad to hear that scott hall has passed away . One of the greatest wrestler in the wwe and WCW who help put WCW back on the map
He was definitely a great performer The razor's edge was actually my favorite finisher rest in peace Scott rest in peace ain't no more demons chasing you now
I'm going too miss you Scott hall I grew up watching you you'll always be my favorite wrestler no matter what R.I.H ICON.
That was such a great tribute. Thank you for putting this out.
Could tell you were a bit emotional during this, totally justified, Scott added so much to pro wrestling and I know you are a huge fan of his.
Your videos are so good and I think you’re absolutely brilliant at what you do ☮️
I was about 11 when Razor Ramon was being introduced. His 1st appearances I remember were always in a restaurant. And it wasn't till WCW, when I was 16 17, that I realized he wasn't Hispanic and that Scott Hall was his OG name. Basically what I'm trying to say is his showmanship/acting was top notch!
R.I.P. Scott Hall, thanks for the memories with me and my pops.
R.I.P. Pops!
My brother is a huge Razor / Scott fan and I sent him this and he said this was what a tribute should look like, thanks for highlighting his awesome career
Really nice tribute. Scott Hall was one of my all-time favorite wrestlers so the news of his death hit me pretty hard as well. I was a HUGE nWo fan and especially a fan of The Outsiders. It's a shame that Hall never won a World Title, but it also says a lot about his talent that he was able to constantly be over without ever needing to hold the big one. Great video!
