Englishman stranded in USA . Wonderful memories of my grandfather fishing from the beach . Also unique English beaches .....100 o/o pebbles. All the best.

Hi John lovely to hear from you!! Glad my video has brought back some nice memories for you!! Chesil is really unique with its shingle!!! At Bridport in the west the pebbles are tiny and they gradually get bigger over the 15 odd miles east to Weymouth where they are inches across!! If you see a picture of an angler on Chesil you can tell where on the beach they are by sizing the shingle!! Amazing! Cheers Ian

Hi Kevin my poor body took days to recover from that one I assure you!! We feel the long walk definitely improves your chances but with each passing year it gets harder!! Also in the coming months a mackerel head close in works much better without other anglers lights constantly shining around you during darkness. Hi Ed unfortunately the best chance of fish on Chesil is definitely dusk darkness and dawn. In daylight your chances are greatly diminished. Mmmm a bit in the air at the moment...We like to fish spring tides so you get a bit of tidal movement even if the wind isn’t there. Therefore it’s either the weekend of the 12th or 26th. Certain factors need to be taken into account....work, Mrs C, etc but it will definitely be one of those!! Cheers
