A C5 was my dream car ever sense I worked at a dealership back when they were new. I bought my C5 in 2009 when I came home from Iraq. The best welcome home gift I could give myself!

Very nice. I've had mine for a little over a year and it has been a blast thus far. I've put quite a bit of money into it- granted, upgrades that the car needed and was well worth it. Just had the harmonic balancer done with the Powerbond unit and sadly I noticed an oil leak the day after I got it back- along with the hood not wanting to stay latched properly and the headlights having a mind of their own. Just funny that I am now experiencing all of these unrelated issues immediately after getting it back from a local shop. That shit aside, I love my "Ghost".

I just bought a 2000 earlier this month. Looks great and runs strong with the LS1. Mine is an automatic tranny . Ive really been enjoying it so far. This is my first Corvette I had a friend that had one and he gave me a ride in his back around 1983 - 1984. Thats the only other time I had ever been in a Corvette. So glad I bought one.

You made the comment about cam / blower /turbo and then mentioned "not as a daily" but I will offer that this car with 10psi is an amazing daily. Just depends om yoir cam. I left mine stock and cleared 500rw. Its only there when you want it. Lots of fun. Theu should have come from the factory that way.

@@americanmade752 Not much is needed really. But some things you might do to prep would be: pac springs, straub/che bushings, pfadt or hpi style trans mount, ecs diff brace, fuel pump. None of which is necessary, but all of it is wise. When you install the kit definitely go to the extra effort and change the hub since they fail. You can drop the cradle and lift the engine to do it without pulling the rack. And above all.... everyone goes after brand new AA or ECS kits. I bagged a used AA P1SC kit for 3300, ran it at 10 psi for a few years, then sold it for 3500. The deals are out there if you hunt. Enjoy the car! Tons of great info on the forums when you need it. I post as Tusc over there.
