- We all know the importance of branding your work. Just as every artist signs their art, we woodworkers should also proudly claim our work, and what better way than with a branding iron!?
In this episode, Morgan cut a Onefinity branding iron out of solid brass on his Elite Series Woodworker. With the right bits and toolpath settings, you can make one too. Use your own logo and follow along to see how easy it is to create a branding iron of your very own!
Cut files with pre-programmed toolpaths for both Vcarve and Carveco are available for FREE on the Onefinity user forum. Also included are Vectors in DXF and SVG format, as well as toolpathing instructions for anyone using other software.
Download the free files from the user forum and make your mark in style!

More evidence of how unbelievably wonderful this company is. They deserve all of their success and more. Best CNC on the market.
So glad you think so!
Thank you so much! Your choice of bits and the speeds and feeds are exactly what I need to confidently try this!!!
Glad it was helpful!
I love everything about this video!!! Thank you for sharing all the feeds/speeds and bit info.
You are so welcome!
I’ve been struggling with making brass clock dials, and one lesson learned was that brass alloys have different hardness. A lot of the sheet brass is alloy 260, which bends well, but doesn’t machine well. Brass alloy 360 was so often used in clock that some call it “clock brass”. But I can’t find that in sheets. The closest I can find is 353. Please consider adding the alloy you chose to the “what did he use?” Section of the video. If 260 works, that’s exciting, and I’ll blame my Amana bits. My next effort is Bits&Bits cutters.
Cool stuff Morgan!
This is great! I keep discovering more and more things to do with the Onefinity. My last discovery was using the laser to cut out fabric patterns for making my own clothing.
Thanks for sharing!
That's awesome. Nice job, Morgan
Nicely done. This is one of the projects I was planning on doing once I have my machine running. I already have a 750 watt branding iron just waiting to be used
Sounds great!
I like that a lot! Nice job, Morgan!
Thank you! Cheers!
I just ordered my ELITE Series Foreman today, so stoked! Glad I found your stuff on the CZcamss, I'm John Morgan btw, cheers!
Hope you enjoy it!
So dreamy! 😍
It really is!
Brilliant!!! I can’t wait to get working on this!!!!
Can't wait!
Great job sir
Glad to help!
Good stuff. Especially appreciate the feeds & speeds -- I'm too cheap to test a bit to failure, so have had to be super conservative with tiny bits in metal -- great to see some 1F-specific data. A little puzzled by the 3 different versions though. You show one set of settings on screen, say something a little different, then include yet a 3rd version in the text.
Thanks for making this quick video. Looking forward ya'll adding the bits, and recommended feeds/speeds you used in this project to the video description similar to how ToolsToday does in their videos.
Donezo 👍🏼
@MorganHop Thanks dude!
Thanks for the idea!
Super cool🕺
Thanks!
Nice! Now I need to make my own logo in brass.
Do you guys have a file for that spoilboard somewhere? I'm almost done setting up my Elite Foreman. The t-track and MDF pieces are next, but that MatchFit solution looks like a great addition to the MDF.
Yes we do. Check the forum under onefinity university! It's also linked in the spoil board video!
Is this whats shipping with the machines now, instead of that Team onefinity plaque
LOL, Good idea.
What are the feeds n' speeds and depth of cut for the facing bit?
@morganhop can you help us out.
Very cool nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
so you can just use your standard bits, same as you would use on your wood projects?
Yes!
Take my money already
Website is open for orders 24/7 :P
I am running a Makita router . What are you using ? I haven't done much with my machine yet buy metal cutting is of big interest to me.
Using a spindle, but the makita router can definitely do it too!
Hi, I’ve been looking at a cnc to create a small brand. Is there a limit to how small of a resolution that can be created? I’m thinking of the limitations of the bit but also how small you can go without the heat bleeding between elements of the brand.
It can engrave really small. Not sure about the heat bleed.
You can cut deeper. Most of the bleed comes from the background, not the part that's burning.
@@JasonPeltier hi, thanks for the explanation, good to know.
El Mustachio!
The ladies love it!
@@OnefinityCNC as they should! LOL
Do you have a recommendation for a flattening bit?
This one is great and doesn't break the bank! amzn.to/3OkZs72
@@OnefinityCNC Thanks! Looking forward to receiving my machine!
Is brass a material suitable for the original woodworker with a Makita router?
Yep. The Makita router will handle it no problem
Makita router can do it!
Thanks - great video! (No to the dead caterpillar on the face though)
Haha. Glad you liked it!
