    Anyone know how this machine compares to Magimix Gelato Expert and Sage/Breville (when it comes to quality ice cream/gelato)?

    looks delicious.....was about to order either the cuisinart ice 100 or the wynter 200ls...
    They are the same price. It's hard to decide.
    What do you guys think? I'm only interested in making dense and smooth gelato. Ice cream is not my thing.

    Hi Ruben, I have this machine and I tried to make gelato with it. However, after putting in the freezer to cool the gelato becomes uncscoopable .. what temperature do you recommend for freezing gelato

      Gelato is meant to be served at a warmer temperature than ice cream, 15f vs 0f. You may need to adjust the temperature of your freezer.

    Hi Ruben, I've had my Cuisinart Ice 100 for about a year now, and today the paddle stopped rotating, but the compressor still works. Wondering if you would know how I can fix it?

      Hey Iana, sorry to hear the paddle has stopped rotating. I'd recommend taking the cover off and having a look at the drive system underneath the bowl. It might just be that the cogs need cleaning and some food-grade grease applied. Hope that helps. Ruben

    Since my recipes are based around my old 2-quart Cuisinart ice cream maker, I wish Cuisinart made a 2-quart version of this machine.

      just multiply by 0.75 the amount of ingredients you use for your recipes

      Hi there Emiliano, no I didn't use any gums, other stabilisers, or emulsifiers in this recipe. Just organic whole milk, fresh double crea, free-range egg yolks, un-refined cane sugar, and skimmed milk powder.

      Why the skimmed milk power? Doesn't that offset the use of cream? Also, was it organic? I would prefer raw dairy, unhomogenized, pastured eggs(can't trust "free-range"). Also, I don't trust cane sugar. I use organic maple syrup or honey.

      No, jackie, can't you just fight the germs tho? They can't harm you if they are KO ed first.

      About 8 litres, but this would take pretty much all day!
