My family and I have been blessed to begin the process of moving out of the city to another country to set up a non profit sanitarium and also to provide a space for others who do not have the means to move out of the city, please keep us in prayer because there is a lot of work to be done, from building cabins to planting the vegetable gardens 🙏🏾

This can get very discouraging because most people don’t have the means to even afford a piece of land, let alone everything that goes on it to sustain people. I was homeless for five and a half months and now I have a house to live in with a roof over my head in a bed and a table with my clothes on it and I am happy but to make a video that you have an extra house when the world needs help.... to me being a leader of a church you should set an example and go out and help homeless people just my thoughts from being homeless. I'm not judging I just think that Jesus told his disciples to sell everything and follow him and they did and gave their extra to the poor !

Pastor Doug, I am so blessed to live in the country in an old farmhouse. However, so many people do not have enough income to buy land, build houses and solar systems, etc. Solar systems, etc off grid is not only costly, but requires some degree of technical skill. I am slightly older than you are. I can do a lot, but electricity, solar systems, plumbing etc is out of the budget and personal skills. I enjoyed your videos anyway.
Pastor Doug, Gardening With Less Water by David Bainbridge is how to garden with less than 90 % less water. Read the chapter on Deep Pipes. Looking at your land, was thinking some fruit trees and deep pipes might work. Love your place.

I agree wholeheartedly with this idea. Many of us aren't fortunate to have the funds to purchase acreage but a community can come up with the funds to do so. Nowadays, everyone is out to save themselves without any thought for others. Selfishness reigns even among the people within our churches.
Wonderful Spot -- we still so fondly ❤ 🧡❤🧡❤remember our time at Sac Central before God sent us out of the nest (our comfort zone), there are Sac Central. Seeing this video almost made me weep. It reminded me of all the training we received there working cameras and the surrounding aspects, which has been quite a blessing as we set up a media ministry at one large church, and worked that for many years. And always learning and growing and sharing Christ everywhere we can. And during that time God was preparing us for moving to the country. Its been 12 years ago we moved out here near Mt. Saint Helens Washington. Its not only a physical preparation - but a mental and SPIRITUAL preparation. Like Moses tending sheep for 40 years, to further His connection with the Lord before he was 'tendings God's sheep/goats'.
God has been filling us and growing us - as we are called to serve and not bask in our comfort zone. But we miss you Pastor Doug and Karen. God led us miraculously to your Church nearly 20 years ago and it was such a blessing to be there, and to get too know you. I often say 'St. Helens area', just because it's a landmark many remember. Wonder if you know Rick and Caroline Karlstrom -- think they live in Mossy Rock. We knew them from when we were in Vancouver Church, and both of them were extremely involved in the church - wonderful folks. ...I started asking a bunch of questions about the 'spiritual temperature' at the Morton Church. Then had this feeling to check the internet about it and come to see that you are the Pastor there. amen. A pastor that is watching Doug Batchelor -- ooooh I really like that --- double amen. 😄😃😁 Its kind of odd. When I became a Christian, my burden was primarily for the atheists (which is how I grew up), then came into a Sunday keeping church and I was seeing how far the teachings and hearts were away from what Jesus taught scripture - and that was more where the burden shifted. Then through what i saw in the Bible we came to keeping Bible truths, including the Sabbath and God led us to pastor Doug and the Adventist church. As an Adventist for some time - the burden is largely shifted to those in our own fold; because as a denomination we are asleep. The Story of the 10 virgins really points to the Adventist Church (the other churches don't wear the robe of righteousness or shine the light described , and are not waiting for the advent of Christ). I've come to realize why Jesus was a man of sorrows - - He could see how the majority were not willing to follow. I love people too much to just keep quiet. I've been writing lately about the difference between the spirit of 'forced obedience' (which appears to me why many that were in SDA a few decades ago turned against obedience), versus an 'obedience born of love'. Satan is so clever at 'poisoning the water' so to speak - we need to see past his sophistries so we keep on the narrow road and are preaching and teaching the whole word of God. The fruit of even following Christ in obedience can only be born out of a deep love for Him. Sorry -- I really start getting on a roll here... How do youreplenish water when temps are below freezing in the winter? what would be a ballpark cost for this kibd of set up? With all the tithe and offerings why don’t the seventh day Adventist build a huge community in the mountains and have farms and grow our own food like the Amish we should be way advance and show we the true Christians that follow the Bible
A "huge" community flocking in an area is not recommendable. We have to spread out. Clusters of 3-5 families is good.

I agree wholeheartedly with this idea. Many of us aren't fortunate to have the funds to purchase acreage but a community can come up with the funds to do so. Nowadays, everyone is out to save themselves without any thought for others. Selfishness reigns even among the people within our churches.

Wonderful Spot -- we still so fondly ❤ 🧡❤🧡❤remember our time at Sac Central before God sent us out of the nest (our comfort zone),
there are Sac Central. Seeing this video almost made me weep. It reminded me of all the training we received there working cameras and the surrounding aspects, which has been quite a blessing as we set up a media ministry at one large church, and worked that for many years. And always learning and growing and sharing Christ everywhere we can.
And during that time God was preparing us for moving to the country. Its been 12 years ago we moved out here near Mt. Saint Helens Washington.
Its not only a physical preparation - but a mental and SPIRITUAL preparation. Like Moses tending sheep for 40 years, to further His connection with the Lord before he was 'tendings God's sheep/goats'.
God has been filling us and growing us - as we are called to serve and not bask in our comfort zone.
But we miss you Pastor Doug and Karen. God led us miraculously to your Church nearly 20 years ago and it was such a blessing to be there, and to get too know you. You are willing to stand up and hold the line in a world of now rampant compromise -- when fewer and fewer Adventist churches are doing so (especially in our western conferences).

Wonder if you know Rick and Caroline Karlstrom -- think they live in Mossy Rock. We knew them from when we were in Vancouver Church, and both of them were extremely involved in the church - wonderful folks.
...I started asking a bunch of questions about the 'spiritual temperature' at the Morton Church.
Then had this feeling to check the internet about it and come to see that you are the Pastor there. amen.

Its kind of odd. When I became a Christian, my burden was primarily for the atheists (which is how I grew up), then came into a Sunday keeping church and I was seeing how far the teachings and hearts were away from what Jesus taught scripture - and that was more where the burden shifted. Then through what i saw in the Bible we came to keeping Bible truths, including the Sabbath and God led us to pastor Doug and the Adventist church. As an Adventist for some time - the burden is largely shifted to those in our own fold; because as a denomination we are asleep. The Story of the 10 virgins really points to the Adventist Church (the other churches don't wear the robe of righteousness or shine the light described , and are not waiting for the advent of Christ). I've come to realize why Jesus was a man of sorrows - - He could see how the majority were not willing to follow. I love people too much to just keep quiet.
I've been writing lately about the difference between the spirit of 'forced obedience' (which appears to me why many that were in SDA a few decades ago turned against obedience), versus an 'obedience born of love'. Satan is so clever at 'poisoning the water' so to speak - we need to see past his sophistries so we keep on the narrow road and are preaching and teaching the whole word of God. The fruit of even following Christ in obedience can only be born out of a deep love for Him.

How do youreplenish water when temps are below freezing in the winter? what would be a ballpark cost for this kibd of set up?
