- Gonna be useful around here. Friends and other ranchers have been telling us to get one... it's about time we act on one after thinking about it for 5 years.

Five years later, was it a good decision? I'm about to get a 4x4 golf cart that i can charge off my solar array.
Can't believe its been that long already... but it has been a good unit coming from POOlaris. Haven't had hardly any issues so far. Think it has over 3000 miles now, don't remember.
I have had four Rangers from 800 crew to 900's Great rigs, I have taken my rigs on some unbelievable trips, I live in the desert and use mine all over. I have added doors, windshields lifts, you won't be disappointed they are beasts!
I bet that has made you're work so much easier. And a little more fun too! I'll have one here soon.
Looks nice they are much handier than a 4 wheeler when they are working hope you have good luck with it
Nice ride. Some unsolicited advice, keep it in low gear when driving under 10mph. If not you'll eat belts faster.
The reason why there's a break-in time is so you learn good driving habits and don't abuse it its whole life
What rpms does it run at when 0-25mph? Just bought one and thinking it was running high. And any weird noises like something hitting constancy in the front
pavie04 I think holding a 25 mph speed it's at 4400 rpm... Not sure. No weird noises that I've noticed.
pavie04 I have the same thing but I think it is just your tires kicking it up
Be sure not to tighten the bolt on the windshield because my uncles cracked.
The mounts on the glass came pre-installed, so nothing to mod on the window itself.
Sweet ride. I think you'll like it. Did you keep the bobcat? Those side by sides are very handy around the farm. My bro in law has a Polaris, can't remember make and model, but he likes it and has had good luck. I have a Kubota rtv, I like it and it's been ok. Some 4 wheel drive issues though.
The Bobcat is my brother's that he uses from his job, so it'll be here yet. A lot of nice UTV machines out there to choose from, just how much one wants to pay.
hi, its me again, i have not gotten a set of wheels yet, i wanna ask if you have heard about that issue with the turf mode on these. people say that the gears/gear case pretty much explodes. i really don't want to do something like replace that and have work done on a new machine. would you know why people are having this issue?
Never heard of that one... Have been using Turf mode most of the time. My brother brought home a Bobcat 3400xl a couple years ago that he uses. If you don't know, the Bobcat UTVs have a lot of Polaris components, and it does indeed have Turf mode and has worked fine.
I'm not sure how gear cases might be exploding... are they engaging the diff lock/disengagin while the tires are spinning under torque load? Might have to continue to do research on it... haven't been able to use the UTV much yet this year, same with the ATVs with the way this Spring has been going so far with the snow and ugly weather.
Farming 4G thanks. I was told by another that it could be what you said and people being hard on it at all times even at the break in time. And also putting bigger tires on it.
Yea, bigger tires put quite the extra strain on everything. I wouldn't be surprised if the models from 2013-2016 had issues with how Polaris was skimping on everything, but if riders were actually doing periodic maintenance and still having problems then it's on Polaris.
I'm hoping later this Spring I'll do a quick little recap for you on the UTV after doing fence repair and cattle work, then later this year having a more in-depth look... of course if any problems arise, it'll be on CZcams for sure lol
Farming 4G thank you. A dealer near me has 2 blue 900 xp for 2018 and its the same not a redesign so that might be the one we get
I have several friends with Rangers and Razors and have never had any diff issues. I also have a 570 which i use all the time in turf mode with no issues.
having it this long, how has it been? any issues to report on?
Haven't noticed anything for the first couple hundred miles. This summer i'll find out more about it.
will you be making other videos on it? im stuck in the same spot between the kawasaki mule sx 4x4 xc and the 900, i like how the new 900 for 2018 has the blue again
I've got another video coming with the UTV sometime this week going around checking the cows. Wont see much of it until next spring and summer.
