Your point is moot. Your spiel about the heartland comparing it on the basis of a 2h weapon is where your thinking fails. Heartland is only good as a dual wield set, and no it doesnt have to be backbared. It shines when you take nirnhoned into consideration on your mainhand and its only good for about that. So were you informatinve? No. Was your comparison misleading? Yes. In future you might actually showcase the most prominent option for a set, rather than dunking random junk build on a random class and saying it doesnt work for you.

In all seriousness actually not a bad point bc procs kinda skew up stat density because they work differently, I chose not to touch on them in this video cos it would have created so many other questions

I’ve decided to hire edyy to put my builds together for me from now on.
Heartland is one of the best ones in no-cp campaign though. Specially on magdk dual wield, one nirnhorned, other charged.
Yeah 100%, probably one of the only places I'd definitely use heartlands is in no-proc
People opt for the first setup cause they like the simplicity, trading off performance for consistencey (like pa compared to clever). Sure the more optimised build hits harder, but its more shit to manage and some just dont want to manage all that while 1vxing. (I agree about heartlands btw set is over rated)

tbf not wrong as I'm still farming my essence thief maul, but I just think about how much time that is in comparison to how much use I'll get out of it the whole patch instead of running something sub-optimal

the only time i actually see heartland being usefull is if you wear on the body with dual wield Nirnhoned/Sharpened and your backbar trait of choice.

Still like heartlands but I can agree its not be the best lol however this style may be my new favorite breakdown of a build. I watch a ton of CZcams build videos that are great but using the calculator helps provide an awesome level of data. You definitely got yourself a new follower bud!

Hey Eddy... awesome and very informative video... pls I need to ask... my main is stamplar n im currently running deadly and stuhn which I easily proc with toppling charge... with the new deadlands update and the slight nerf to deadly... do u think it's still a viable setup?... what would ur advise be for best setup for stamplar in this current update...

If you wanted to run 2h/bow you could run a backbar set like powerful assault/alchemist, then a frontbar set such as stuhns/deadly/essence thief and then a mythic such as torc/majesty and then go either serpent/warrior/lover mundus depending on your resource management. I'm going to do my stamplar build video for this patch in a couple weeks as I'm waiting for the markyn ring of majesty lead to be fixed :)

Heartland is good if you have duel wield with nirnhoned traits. You get 30% more damage per 1H weapons which is a lot of non proc weapon damage. Then on top of that if you’re running 2H Greatsword on the back bar for rally go powered for 18% more healing. I wouldn’t run heartland on a 2H front bar build though.
There's definitely use for heartland for sure, especially since charged change, but people were really crazy about it

On Paper your build Looks good, No doubt. Im Sure some PPL get IT to Work easily.
I tooked a Break of ESO ( when the proc Set Meta kicked in)
Back then I created Something similar to Ur build(except clever Alchemist, i prefer potions For defense/sustain only).
Im Not a noob, played mainly PvP , was able to 1 vs x, could Bring down some Players in a coordinated small scale group before i got deleted 😎, But im also Not 16 anymore, my reactive Gameplay IS slower.
Then I got all the Shit i needed For the build , i was so on fire to get Back into PvP after the Boring farm.
I make IT short, im only telling in a pov against good players. IT was too much proc conditions, too much Timer i Had to watch , before i could Line everything Up i was pushed into defense and then i was able to pressure Back, i Had to do IT again.
I went with that build For 2 weeks But didnt git gud with it. I rage Quitted ESO cause after the Gear Grind and golden Out etc... fuck IT 🤯
Now im Back into ESO No CP PvP,
My stamsorc For example IS running
5 medium/2 heavy
Sithis mythic
1 Balorgh
5 Heartland
Wretched vitality backbar (2h defending sword)
Vate 2h Maul frontbar
2 Trainee
IS IT bis on Paper? Nope, i can theorycraft better builds, with more conditions to proc. But IT fits my playstyle perfectly, i only need to maintain 2 buffs and can watch more at what IS going around me, can pressure For longer, i Can dodgeroll For ever, rarely Run Out of resource , fast AS fuck. If i get in a Bad Situation i can Take a Lot of Hits with 30k health and 35k ressistance on backbar and i Hit Like a Truck with Overall 16k Penetration and nearly 6k weapon dmg.
Only hard time i have IS against DK with corrsive Armor and gankblades. But i Just streak away in that Case 🤪.
But i also Want to Test this build with a Monster Set and/or Stage 3 vampire. To c If IT Works better against my weak Spots. Change food or mundos For more dmg or more sustain. Their are some Options i have to Work around with.
TL/DR Not everything that Looks good on Paper IS good in practice for someone.💪
I would argue that's part of skill gap, being able to utilise the best sets and stats in the game. But also as I said in relation to the setup I showed, you could run powerful assault and deadly that both have 100% up-time (as you'll be keeping your vigor rolling during 1vX anyways) and still have better stats

I dont have accès to mythic, psychic, jewel transmute, so for me hearthland really is a good set rn, on plar I use 5 hearthland body, vate 2h backbar defending, essence thief dw front with 3 jewels, balorgh, vamp stage 3
It feels really good on every aspect and it feels like bis after trying all I have accès to.

And yeah thats totally understandable if its all you have access to, although i'd still argue deadly, stuhns or even acuity would be better than heartland in that case 👀
@@TheSteadyeddieShow for a 5 piece body set definitely not acuity, for stuhn why not but I'll have to use topling charge and I already run living dark and purify so it's too much mag to sustain with no mythic, for deadly it's good but hearthland gives me 3k pen on fb and 3k resist on back, I feel like it's just a good middle between offence and defence. Now when I'll get better at plar I would probably switch it to an higher damage set like deadly or deadland assassin
@@virtualeso1706 yeah I was actually thinking about this later and i think deadlands would probably the best in the scenario that you have, then you could even potentially swap out the monster for a more defensive monster seeing as you are looking for the resists
Heartland is a great set for everyone cause its craftable so ita fairly easy to get and its powerful. Slap this with a good tanky set with sithis on any mag toon and youll pump great heals do great damage and have great survivability
I'm gna say a thing that's gna piss a lot of people off but I don't think a set being easy to get = good. It's nice that there's those options for when you don't have much time to play, but it shouldn't really affect decisions on whether it outperforms another set or not

@@TheSteadyeddieShow not denying he is knowledgable or something. I know he is pretty biased. But thats not the point, problem is that he played at a time where stat density actually mattered. Nowadays with all kind of stat procs, damage procs or buff procs making up more than half of all builds, stat density seems a moote point to me. Example would be daedric trickery or the new anti daedric trickery set, they both provide buffs/debuffs you cant really calculate and using them leaves you with rather low stats.
