    This video highlights the simple installation steps of Diode Dynamics SL1 LED Headlight Bulbs for the 2006-2020 Ford Fusion. The optical design of the SL1 perfectly mimics the filament of the Fusion's stock halogen bulb, allowing a clean, even beam pattern that's FAR brighter than stock.
    The compact size of the SL1 means these H11-size bulbs are a plug-and-play upgrade for the 2006-2020 Ford Fusion. There is NO modification or splicing needed. Simply remove the factory incandescent bulb, and the SL1 plugs right in!
    We proudly manufacture our SL1 LED Headlight Bulbs right here in St. Louis, and back them with a 3-year worry-free warranty.

      It’s so the headlights don’t fall out of the car in an accident. I can appreciate the design it’s quite a good idea. My old Focus had 4 bolts for the headlight and could be removed in 2 minutes. I had the headlight out all the time making minor adjustments to it.

    I miss the days where you didn’t have to remove the bumper to take the headlights out. My old Focus had 4 bolts on the headlight and took a minute and a half to remove. I like this design better though, in an accident the headlight won’t fly out of the car. When I had a accident in my Focus the headlight was jammed way into the back of the engine bay. The bolts on them things were very delicate.

      They should give an option to change it from the front, or leave more room at the light in the back. I honestly think it was designed like this on purpose to force people to go to dealerships, same reason they are still installing halogen. If you think I'm crazy, look it up. It's called "planned obsolescence" and was notorious in the automotive industry for a long time, before Japanese manufacturers entered the market and changed the game.

      Replaced mine n 2016. Didn't do any of this. I looked. I thought. I loosened a few easy to reach parts... Done deal. Not saying it was fun or easy but way less than this. Why ford hasn't just been installing LEDs to begin with is most likely to the fact that light emitting diodes are constantly growing, kind of like computer software etc. Still the vehicle should really have something easier for the typical citizen (user) to replace.

      @diodedynamics  Před 4 lety

      Hey there! The quality that you get with a pair of $150 SL1s from us will be far superior to that of a cheaper HID kit. With cheap kits like that, often times the quality is extremely poor, only lasting a year or two in many cases. The SL1 is rated at over 40,000 hours worth of use.

    • @AcuraAddicted
      @AcuraAddicted Před 4 lety

      Diode Dynamics I do not mean any kits. I mean the cost of the bulbs themselves. A top tier HID bulb pair costs about $130 bucks ( we are talking higher echelon like OSRAM Xenarc and stuff).

    You do realize you don’t need to do all of that to replace the bulb correct? All you need to do is remove all outside bumper bolts and let the bumper hang off just enough to remove the headlight, this is why people remove the headlight and replace the bulb. It’s way easier and you don’t need to deal with tight spaces!
