Discussion of the fossil fish that are found in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Remains of the fish that lived 50 million years ago in what many call the "Lost Lake"
This is a year-old video, but I would like to mention now that "you get to keep every fish you find" is no longer true. They still charge a daily dig fee, up to $100 for the day, but will also take from you any "rare" species you find. You only get to keep the dime-a-dozen common fish and nothing more. Find a plant? They keep it. Find a turtle? It's theirs. Find anything that's not a very common fish, they take it.
Thank You for that information, that’s a shame. I am going out west to look for fossils. Can you recommend a dig site that you get to keep what you work for.
Great video!
I need to go there so many fossil sights in America here at home.
