I used to be Roman Catholic, but I converted to Islam by taking my Shahada in 2016. In 2020, I met my ex-girlfriend, who was a Mormon, and I converted to Mormonism because of her. This decision drastically changed my life. I faced challenges, including financial difficulties, losing my Virtual Assistant job, my beloved dog, and deteriorating health. I prayed to Allah for guidance and was fortunate to find a part-time job to sustain my daily needs.
I had a conversation with my ex-girlfriend about returning to Islam, but she presented me with a difficult choice: her or my faith in Islam. When I chose to keep my faith in Islam, she decided to end our relationship. Her missionary siblings also advised me to cut off communication with her.
I reflect on the stories of prophets who were led astray by their relationships with women, disobeying Allah. I hope for Allah's forgiveness and guidance in my journey.
10:47 explains why Jospeh and Hyrum were called and 16:36 explains they were destined to lead people astray. Life is a lesson brother. Allah is merciful and compassionate to each. It's not like you denounced God for a woman, you tried a different expression of the Abrahamic faith. The Christian creed closest to Islam. Don't feel shame for your experience. Study a bit more and write about your experiences so more can gain an understanding of this people.

Im a Mormon abd if this guy actually did serve a mission he would know the difference between a Mirmon Priest vs an Elder, which he would have been if he actually served a mission like he claims.
Getting disfellowshiped requeres you to do some pretty bad things, drunkedness, premarital and/or homosexual behavior. You don't even get disfellowshiped for reading the Qur'an, Islam is actually taught at BYU.

Most people have a crude idea that the imam of the mosque, jurisprudence and then the hadith, but according to the Qur'an is not.
Every religion has one or another leader and the followers of this religion look upon him with respect.
For example, Christians have a pastor and the pastor is known by many names, such as Bishop or Vicar.
Similarly, there are Pandits in Hindu religion who are also known by other names. For example Yogi, Swami, Guru, and Eugene etc.
Muslims have imams who are also called caliphs.

The word Imam has been mentioned only twice in the Quran, once in verse 124 of Surah Al-Baqarah (2) and in verse number 41 of Surah Al-Qasas (28).

It should be noted that when Allah made Hazrat Ibrahim (as) the Imam, he prayed that Allah also make my children (Imam).

And there is a tradition: The religion will remain until the Day of Resurrection because they will have twelve caliphs, each of whom is from Quraysh.

From these narrations we know that the number of rulers of this ummah after the Prophet (peace be upon him) is only twelve.
Now the question arises that he said about the caliphs, where did the mention of your Imam come from ??
In the eyes of the Muslim caliph, he is the one who rules over the Muslims.
There is no such thing in the Qur'anic terminology.
Quran In the Quran, the word Khalifa is used for the Holy Prophets.
And remember that not every prophet became a ruler ...
And the next thing is that Hazrat Adam (PBUH) has also been called Caliph. Now any Muslim can tell us how many years Hazrat Adam (PBUH) has ruled ???
Surah Al-Baqarah verse 30
Now it has become clear that Imam and Khalifa have the same meaning and these two words have been used by the Prophets.
And remember that not every prophet is a ruler ....
And also remember that Shiites are the only sect that believes in twelve Imams or Caliphs.
If there is still any objection, then tell me any other sect which believes in Twelve Sardars !!!
And also remember that the right of government belonged to the twelve Imams only.
If he is deprived of his rights, it does not mean that he is not a caliph or an imam.

Hadith Number 16245, Volume Title: “The Sayings of the Syrians,” Chapter Title: “Hadith of Mu’awiya Ibn Abu Sufyan”:
“I saw the prophet - pbuh - sucking on the tongue or the lips of Al-Hassan son of Ali, may the prayers of Allah be upon him. For no tongue or lips that the prophet sucked on will be tormented (by hell fire)
He (the Prophet) lift up his (al Hassan’s) shirt and kissed his (little) penis..” روى أنه صلى الله عليه و سلم قبل زبيبة الحسن أو الحسين He (the prophet) kissed the (little) penis of al Hassan or al Husein رأيت النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم فرج ما بين فخذي الحسين و قبل زبيبته He (the prophet) put Husein’s legs apart and kissed his (little) penis

رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم فرج ما بين فخذي الحسين و قبل زبيبته رواه الطبراني و إسناده حسن translated into English: “I saw the Messenger of Allah pbuh putting Husein’s legs apart and kissing his (little) penis.”
Related by Al-Tabarani and it’s authentication is fully validated by Islamic scholars.
Hussein and Hassan is not the same name, so clearly this is of two accounts and he kissed more than one penis.
Muhammad would also invite young boys to see him wash his private parts:
Narrated Anas bin Malik: Whenever Allah’s Apostle went to answer the call of nature, I along with another boy used to accompany him with a tumbler full of water. (Hisham commented, “So that he might wash his private parts with it.”) (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 4, Number 152; see also Numbers 153-154)
Other sick practices of Muhammad include having his young child bride wipe semen off his clothes:

A PROPHETIC MASS MURDERER AND WARLORD
Muhammad himself had killed men, women and children when he raided villages and towns, mostly those whom he regarded as unfit for slavery, ill, elderly, disabled, etc.
He murdered men and male children as he considered them a future threat to him and his growing cult. Of male children, he murdered adolescents but spared only the younger boys, all those who hadn’t yet attained puberty. According to Hadiths, Muhammed had really ordered the killings of all adolescent boys and men from the raided villages and towns. None of the murdered males was ever given any chance to convert to Islam - the so-called religion of peace.
Furthermore, Muhammad held innumerable families as hostages and demanded ransoms for some of them. He splitted many families asunder, when he murdered their menfolks and enslaved womenfolks and elderly people. He forced women and young girls into sex slavery - in other words, into forced prostitution. He forced the elderly people into dire labour; they toiled on until they dropped dead from exhaustion, malnutrition and dehydration. Muhammad’s crimes against humanity are all recorded in the Hadiths.
Muhammad did not act as any exemplary Muslim in his own time. He was self-serving, greedy, power-hungry, lascivious, narcissistic, unprincipled, etc.
Muhammad was not half as principled as Abu Bakr, his contemporary who most showed humanity to the weak and oppressed, the sick and disabled, the young and old, etc. Abu Bakr was always the one who relentlessly implored Muhammad to refrain from cruelty to slaves, hostages, elderly, women, etc.
This guy was not a mormon priest. His memories of mormon does not match with mormon doctrine.
Even if what you suggest is true about him not having a great knowledge of mormon doctrine, then this would not however negate the fact that he was a mormon priest. Becoming a priest is a very basic rite of passage for all males generally in mormonism, including very recent converts to the religion. So either way, whether he was knowledgable in this area or not, there is no need to reject this man's testimony whatsoever.
Mormonism regularly ordains new male converts to become mormon priests within a fairly short space of time after their initial conversion/baptism. In fact generally speaking their practice has been that all mormon males aged 16 or over are ordained as priests (and there are some of these who are knowledgeable in their religion and some of these very much less so)
I see no reason whatsoever to reject this man's testimony
