Nina was underrated on the😢 Vampire Dairy. She played all of her rolls excellent! She should have gotten a lot more credit for the shows success than what she got. I think she was the main star of the show. She helped make that show a success I hated it when she left. Then she got forgotten by her Costars..Just Sad!!

She shouldn't have left The Vampire Diaries in season 6 for better job offer... There were no better show for her after TVD. We will always know her as Elena/Katherine. Moreover, she and TVD could get more appropriation and fame if she would stay 🙂

It wasn't a job offer, she was dating Damon in real life and they broke up, without her knowing he started to hook up with one of her best friends at time - Nikki Reed-- and she couldn't deal when she found out. A lot of people say that is not because of that, but to me it's a very big coincidence if she just decided to leave at the same she found out and realized they (Nikki and Ian aka damon) were serious about each other.
@@ClaraClaiyer Nina said that she initially signed a contract for 6 seasons for the show. her breakup with Ian could have something to do with why she didn't renew her contract, but she also could have been tired of 6 years doing 1 project and wanted to explore herself and what else is out there. 6 years is a long time for one show.
Definitely her relationship with Ian played a part in it BUT... I really think she was tired and bored. The show demanded so much out of her compared to your regular lead. And I think she didn't like the future directions and storylines they were going to take her characters too. They gutted Elena and for some reason wouldn't let Katherine stay long term regardless of Nina's preference to her.
The toxic side of fandom also made it hard on Nina and Ian to work together because those fans couldn't separate real life to their characters, so that added a lot of pressure on them aswell. Those toxic fans were brutally attacking Nikki all over social media. Even Ian almost left the show due to how bad the toxic fandom was and also because of Julie. He ended up ONLY staying so he could have Kat Grahams back on set. Some of the fans on TVD and TO were VICIOUS. Leah Pipes had to quit because of the stress it was getting to her with all threats she was getting through social media and mail from the toxic fans because Klaus was with her character Camille and not Caroline. Now I'm a Klaroline shipper, but I would never go to that extreme over CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS. Even though I LOVED Klaroline , I also loved Klaus and Camille connection as well.
I disagree, it allowed her to try different things as an actress even if those projects weren’t as popular as TVD, nobody wants to be put in a box as an actress. Look at Ellen Pompeo, great actress but stayed with Grey’s after it had run it’s course and that’s really all she is known for.

- Degrassi: The next generation I LOVED, but after all of the original teens had left the show, I couldn't get into the other ones with basically all new cast/new Degrassi titles.
- I also LOVED One Tree Hill that's another amazing teen drama that goes through EVERYTHING between high-school and adult life.
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer is another good one. Yeah it has vamps/demons BUT they used a lot of that stuff as metaphors that you can relate to in real life in their storylines. All of high-school is about dealing with the pressure of adolescence, high-chool, dating, the popular kids/the outcasts, when Buffy told her mom she's a slayer that was basically a coming out story when a kid comes out to their parents. After high school was dealing with real life adult stuff college, dating, s*x, expermenting, finding your identity in the world, getting a job/career, relationships, basically adopted kid/sibling storyline, family, taking care of a sick parent, losing a parent, depression, addictions etc.
@dancerkris95 you should watch from season 10 of Degrassi it's my favourite era. The stroylines are amazing, the characters are iconic, and the best ships are in season 10-14 era ❤️ my top ten favourite characters are Clare, Alli, Fiona, Manny, Liberty, Marisol, Adam, Jake, Hazel and Jenna

The issue was the toxic side of fandom that couldn't seperate real life to their characters so back then it added a lot of stress on to them because of it. Especially with the way those fans were brutally attacking Nikki all over social media. Even Ian almost quit the show because of it but the ONLY reason he stayed was to have Kat Grahams back on set. But, no all 3 of them are good with each other. The TVD and TO toxic fandom were VICIOUS. All because Klaus was with her character Camille and not Caroline. Now I'm a Klaroline shipper I LOVED them but I did also love the connection that Klaus and Camille had as well.
