    I have this bag along with the add on bottle holders. I also have a wide sea foam pad that fits in it perfectly. The bag is very well made with good materials. I'm delighted with it. The foam pad is hot on the back but I have a framed Kelty coyote pack thats also warm on the back. I typically go on 3 day hikes and this has more space than my mountainsmith Zerk so I can fit my chair, a few more pair of socks and more food. Honestly the Mountainsmith and this are very comparable In size and fit and I think the materials on this pack are superior. just my $.02.

    I've been slowly switching to white colored packs. I find it's a lot easier to look inside the pack and see what's in there...

    Thanks for an honest review on the bag. Been interested in it for some time now and will probably ending up ordering one now. Happy with my Osprey Talon 44 but 1100g is a little on the heavy side😅.

    Thanks for the reviews of this bag. I’ve been looking at this bag and the 40 litre version of the Naturehike Rock as a replacement for my Osprey Kestrel 48.
    One question - Do you think that something like the LightAF non slip mat could be used instead of a Z mat for the back support or would it not be thick enough?

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  Před 2 měsíci +2

      You could use it but would have to fold it into the right shape which may be awkward. I only really use the light af mat if I haven't got a footprint or on that particular camp had a very thin bottomed tent with no footprint so wanted some protection for my mat. The af mat would work and probably be thinner than the folding mats but wouldn't be as sturdy or solid against your back.

      @RichardShortland-Neal Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@NoviceWildCamper Thanks for the info. I don’t tend to use a Z mat so this may not be the bag for me which is a shame.

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Don't get me wrong, it will still fit and I have used it before you just have to fold it right whereas the z light mat folds specifically into the right shape a lot easier.

    If you were going to choose this vs the nature hike rock what would you go for? Going to be choosing one soon.
    Also which version of the rock do you have, is the upgraded worth the extra money?
    Appreciate the vid , cheers mate

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  Před 3 měsíci +3

      I have the original rock. Owned it 4 years now. It's a tough call though. I prefer the weight of the qidian and the fact that although frameless, this actually allows easier packing as the frame doesn't hinder squeezing large tents or sleeping bags in. I think I'd go with the qudian. Just be good to have two straps on the top or maybe the bottom to strap a tent outside if needed. 👍

    Which one will be suitable for camping more than 7 days this one or the naturehike

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  Před 2 měsíci +2

      The naturehike has more capacity so would probably be better but just depends on how much gear you take.

    Hi mate, where do you get the bottle holder from?

  • @camping_guru_uk
    @camping_guru_uk Před 3 měsíci +1

    Hi, a couple of quick questions, so I have the Naturehike Rock 60l + 5l. Being pretty fat the straps on the shoulder are a bit short for me as is the hip belt, in fact I mentioned before I have had to extend the hip belt.
    As you have both the 3FUl and the NatureHike could you confirm the shoulder straps and the belt on the 3ful are longer. My thinking is I could use just one layer of a foam pad on the back support of the 3ful which I imagine will make the belt and shoulder straps longer as they are designed to go over 4 layers of foam at the back. I hope that makes sense.

      @camping_guru_uk Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@NoviceWildCamper oh right, I thought the belt at least would of been longer from where it fits the pack on the 3ful as you are supposed to used a 4 layer thick foam sleep mat. Very interesting, thank you so much for doing that.
