The look on your face when the Predator was fighting the bear was priceless.

DUDE I saw this on Hulu and it's pretty impressive! 8/10 for me!
They even premiered the movie at San Diego Comic Con and it recieved a 10 minute standing ovation and there was a Q& A session at the end.
Dakota Beavers one of the actors was glad to see Native Americans represented in a more positive light instead of being portrayed as the villain of the story.
Also the Predator in the movie is a Feral Predator which means it's like a wild animal that's untamed violent or unstable.
I wish I saw this on the big screen dude! The main actor did a phenomenal job and the look of the Predator was so dope.
I like how they didn't subtitle the French trappers because we're following Nuru and she wouldn't understand them. Nice touch.

The grizzly looked like he was gonna take him there for a little bit. it wouldn't be to unbelievable an average grizzly stands 8 -9 feet tall has razor sharp claws and has jaws that can crush a bowling ball. and are pretty dam fast!
Watched this the other day, really enjoyed it. Shame it didn’t get a wide cinema release, as I think it would’ve done really well. On a side note, is it my imagination, or did I get a notification yesterday that you’d uploaded a reaction vid for Prometheus? Where did it go? 🧐🤷🏻
I agree, I'm pretty sure it would've done well if they did a cinema release. Yeah, I've been trying to upload it but CZcams has kept blocking it even though Prey is doing fine 😐

I get what you mean. I kinda wished they subtitled everything and just had the tribe speak their actual language. I heard they're doing a version of that so I'm excited for that.

Prey 2? I think so, probably gonna explain why the predators win back the gun that they gave to Glovers character in Predator 2.
Naru will probably encounter the elder predator from the 2nd movie if he has the same gun.
maybe he took it from her after wiping her people out in the conflict that's hinted at in the animated end credits scene👍

The Predator is mostly practical. The animals are mostly CG.
The french were buffalo hunters. They are out only for skin. Whereas the tribes venerate buffalo and only kill to eat and survive. Watch Dances With Wolves. And Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner.

To be fair, Christian Bale`s recently stopped doing the forced rasp as much and is using his natural British accent more often these days like he did in his early,pre-American Psycho independent films.(Even there he slips a little bit towards the end.)

On one end it is very coming-of-age with the lead. But on another end it does nod to 2 with the pistol that Michael gets. Also another fun nod is that they used a Predator from the Blood Fued in Predators.
It's a fresh take while paying homage to the franchise, as a Predator fan I'm happy.

Bro I also watched this movie just now in HULU....really awesome👍 this movie links with Naru holding the 1719 flintlock pistol which later in Predator 2 ending the Superior Predator gives it as a trophy to Lieutenant Mike Harrigan....
It was certainly an awesome watch. I loved that it linked to that, maybe in the sequel it'll show how the elder predator got the pistol.

It's not perfect but I watched the whole thing, without turning it off, so that makes it better than most movies I have seen in the past 10 years.

I think this goes well with the native american skinwalker stories. I'm sure that's the same gun Danny Glover got. In the next movie I'm sure the Predators will win it back.
I think so too! A more advanced predator will take on Naru and end up defeating her.

I finished the show (i loved it) but CZcams kept blocking them so I gave up uploading them.
Probably belong to a minority when I say that I like this part even a little better than the first one. The first part has aged badly for me. From today's point of view, too trashy from the character drawing and the dialogues. Otherwise perfect entertainment.
So this one is for me the best of the entire series.
However, there are 2 points of criticism. The design of the Predator without his helmet. Is not the worst now but nothing surpasses the original. And the second point is the cgi of the animals. It's not bad now, but it's not very good either.
Also nice here the call backs. "if it bleeds you can kill it" and of course the musket from part 2.
Also great that the Predator is not yet so advanced with his technology. That was a fear of mine that they would not think about it.
I'm in the minority too. I don't think Prey is very good or should've even be compared to the original.

Grounded movie? Haha. 105 pound person whipped French soldiers with guns and got the better of the predator 1 on 1 in an extended fight... you know predators the best fighters in the universe and something many trained special forces never came close to doing. Ohhhh Kaaay...grounded. 👌3/10 for me.

@@MesiahYT I have a theory she is actually one of the first marvel super hero's. Just stick with me here... SUPER STRENGTH - (1) pulled a 500 pound predator off his feet with a rope, (2) while the predator was on top of her she pulled herself and the 500 pound predator 2 feet to get her head between the 2 rocks. (3) she was also able to rip his mandible off with ease and stab him with it and cut him to pieces with a rock axe both doing more damage than a point blank gun shot to the head. IMPENETRABLE SKIN - he hit her directly in the face with the shield he cut through a guys spine and tree at the same time with and there was no mark on her. INSTANT HEALING - he lifted her overhead (12 feet high?) and slammed her on the ground and didn't even knock the wind out of her. SUPER REFLEXES - she dipped and dodged his attacks numerous times with ease. Maybe INVISIBILITY too? He never seemed to be able to see her when she was attacking. Yep has to be one of the first people with SUPERPOWERS.
You need to remember that this predator isn't the same as the ones in the previous movies. They would've mopped the floor with these characters if that was the case. It really wasn't 1 on 1, it's not like she overpowered the predator, she used her intelligence and wit to beat the predator. Kinda like how Arnie had to at the end of the first Predator.

This was a wasted opportunity to bring the predator genre back. I liked the concept but the wokeness of a 95 lb girl taking down a predator is just IDIOTIC. Soooo stupid. Movie was good everywhere until the girl started with the lame appempt of badassery. Total failure!!!!
Could not disagree more. Its not like the girl defeated the Predator with sheer strength, she used her wits and skill at hunting to overcome a Predator that isn't as skilled as the other predators. The Predator from the other films would've moped the floor with her. Also, her brother had great success against the Predator before he met his demise. When I watched this, i never saw this as being woke and trying force something like Ghostbusters or the latest Black Christmas. I saw it as a underdog story about a girl trying to prove herself to her tribe.
So bad.

Nah, Prey was far from being bad. A really good addition to a franchise that lacks that many good follow ups from the first one.
