This past year has been particularly challenging for low-income families and new immigrants settling in our city. The current inflationary pressures have placed a heavy burden on households, making it difficult to meet daily needs. The latest wave of immigrants in Michigan is especially vulnerable, facing obstacles such as inflation and high housing rents that impede their pursuit of the American dream.
