Ok. He a fun trip. No rush just do want to do one a bit bigger, but no rush, have a couple of WIPS now. Thanks
I really appreciate that you are careful and methodical about the process and explanation. You make it easier to follow.
Thank you Margaret!

Beautiful!!! Can't wait to make this blanket. Bonnie you are an amazing teacher!!! Thanks a bunch 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Leeloo Carson thanks for your sweet encouragement!

I love to watch your videos! I am a beginner and I can see what you are doing!!
Thank you Laurie!
This is very pretty. Since you do two rows in each color, this pattern would work with carrying the yarn up the side - I hate having to weave in ends! Love your tutorials, very thorough.
You are so right Carolyn, and the perimeter round will cover a multitude of strands and knots!
Oh my another baby blanket!! My grandchild is coming in November. So excited 😆. Thank you.
Your videos are the BEST!!
Congratulations on that future grandchild Lisa! What a blessing!
Thank you for a great tutorial , love the up close video makes it way easier to see exactly where the stich goes, and the instructions are so clear to follow .
Thanks for taking the time to encourage me today Mindi! Blessings to you...
This is a lovely pattern. I've wanted to make a starburst for the longest time, but never found a tutorial or written pattern that was easy to follow. You made my day with your tutorial. Thank you for sharing your talent. Starting mine today. 👍👍
Thank you for sharing with us. It is greatly appreciated. Love your color choices, they are beautiful.
Thank you for your wonderful tutorials. I anxiously await your comments about knots. According to my grandmother, knots were taboo. I grew up believing the reverse side of my cross stitch, embroidery and quilting by hand should look as good as the front. Thank you for alluding to the fact it does not. I thought I was taking a day off from my hooks....not now😊😊. Thank you again and I see another baby blanket beginning in a few minutes 💕💕
Ha ha! I hope your day is relaxing with this one Vivian. In crochet you can work over the knots and as I like to say, "cover a multitude of sins" in the process. There are other methods, but knots are forever, other methods are not, (not pun intended!).
I will try this Bonnie
Thank you for sharing love your editorial of crocheting I have learn so many new stitches from you keep them coming it been a pleasure learning from you .
Thank you! I'll do my very best!

Thank you Maggie!
Beautiful stitch!! Thanks so much for the tutorial! My son and daughter in law had twins girls last Friday and I'll need all the baby blanket tutorials you are sharing.
Congratulations Tonia! What a blessing times two!
My baby blanket is going to be lovely with this stitch Love the easy tuturiol.💛💖🌞🐧Christina🌞🐧💛💜
Love the pattern and especially love how you did the border. I struggle with borders finding the right spaces along the sides. This intrigues me and looks relatively easy yet completely finishes the project beautifully. You also have a wonderful teaching style...thanks. Now to get some baby yarn.
Thank you M'Lisse!
Love all your blankets blessings
Thank you Susankay! These are so much fun to design!
Gorgeous
Thank you so much for sharing so beautiful blanket xo
Looks so nice and drapey. I thought it might’ve been stuff due to all the stitches. Beautiful piece. Would make a cute baby dress.
Thank you for such a great learning tool, you make it so clear and easy to follow demo!!! 🤗
Lovely stitch Bonnie, and great tutorial as usual. Thank you.
Thank you Ivy!
You are really the best on the market with how youteach ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@fanutaagger5671 thank you! Honestly, I feel the same, especially in this pandemic. You all have been my social outlet, especially during the Friday Fun Live at Noon Eastern Time. Could not have dreamed this stuff a few years ago, but the internet has become so much more real for so many this past year. What a blessing. Take care.

Susan Bates hooks are the only ones I buy and use. Love them
Another amazing tutorial! Such a beautiful baby blanket! 💕💕💕💕💕 It always makes me happy when I learn new stitches! Thanks Bonnie! 😊
This is so pretty.. love it..
Another great project and tutorial. Thank you Bonny.
So pretty! The switching from solid to variegated makes a beautiful blanket and the starbursts give it much texture. Time for me to buy 3 weight variegated yarn. I already have the solids. :)
The solids may also look good together. Maybe you should try a small swatch just to test it out?
Beautiful stitch. ... What a great tutorial. Thanks for sharing!!!💞
Call love your videos your voice is so calming💛
Thank you Kathy!
Going to make this love it thanks for posting love it have nice day
FYI on my iPhone there is not a gear in either video. The top right corner is 3 dots and at that spot I can have a choice to change the speed.
Thanks Bonnie for teaching
this is a pretty pattern!.
Love this. Going to make this in a solid color.
You are such a great teacher for the Beginner. I just found your sight this week. 💓
Very pretty and doesn't look like a beginner crochet stitch even though it is!
It's definitely a skill builder for beginners. I don't believe in allowing true beginning crocheters to get bored or complacent! There's always room to grow your skills!
Love the pattern will certainly try it but will make it larger, as you say Multiple of 5's
Annette Kelso you can add multiples of 8 to the existing starting chain.
Very lovely Bonnie! Thank you for showing us this technique :) Have a great day!!
I love that yarn for baby blankets
This yarn has been discontinued. Can you please tell me what compares to it? Thank you
@@terribrasher2993 I'm not sure it was one of my favorites. Google Yarnsub.com I hope you can find a substitute.
Beautiful pattern
Nice! Adding to my pile of projects to do. Thanks Bonnie😄
Love this pattern and color combo. You’re an excellent teacher.
Thank you Ronni!😊

Good teacher by the way I didn’t see that slow down feature
Hi Bonnie , such an amazing baby blanket, l love all your tutorials, always so nicely explained.😍👍
Wanted to ask if these blanket was crocheted in rainbow 🌈 colours would it have the same effect.
I do not like crocheting baby blankets with too many holes and these stitches are just perfect for babies.
Thanks , 💕🤗🙏🏻
I think multiple colors will look lovely Hasumati!❤️😊
Thanks for the tutorial.
Love this tutorial
Hi Bonnie love your channel. Was wondering if this awesome blanket but was wondering if can make it bigger and how would I do that.
Going to do it in pink and blue
That should be lovely Jodie!
Will this blanket with such big gaps work?
Not sure I understand your question Neelima. This pattern is very solid, and does not have gaps.
Love this, would like to buy the pattern.
Thank you Tricia! Link is in video description.
Thank you, it's lovely. It seems a bit small for what I need. What are the dementions? And multiples if we wanted to make it a bit larger
As shown, this blanket is 25" x 24". Add to the width simply by adding multiple of 8 to the starting chain.
IF you want your blanket 3 times longer, can't you just multiply the original chain by 3?? ( Like 105 would be 315?) Am I not thinking correctly??
@@lauriekennady4395 If you want to add width, add in multiples of 8. for the length, just continue to repeat rows 2-5 until you reach the desired length. The reason you can't just double the starting chain is because this number accounts for the starting chain and the last stitch. You don't need to add these again to add to the width. I hope this makes sense! As a crochet designer I use a lot of math and sometimes algebra.
@@BonnieBayCrochet I love this video!!
BonnieBayCrochet f
Its loverly pattern. U r doing ur work so smoothly without stretching any chain. Can u guve me some tip for working smoothly without stretching any of the chain?
After .making first row my work get twisted, foundation chain also streched or tight. Looks tight from below the foundation chain & normal above it.
Hope I am able to tell my problem well to u.
You may need to try a different yarn hold in your non-dominant hand. This will cure a lot of ills like this. Here's a short video that may help: czcams.com/video/oh7AwIFDqNg/video.html
This is just like what I recently learned called Catherine's Wheel, only Catherine's Wheel uses seven double crochets instead of nine, but everything else is basically the same. Very pretty :)
Kat yes, there are several variations on this style of crochet. I thought this was the prettiest and most straight forward version I could find.
This looks way small could you please give us the multipulls for the starting chain to increase the width It would be much appreciated. I watch all your tutorials you are such a great teacher and absolutely love your patterns. I am now working on your tree of life. Bless you for all that you do. Thank you :)
Thanks for your kind words Carol! You can make it wider by adding multiples of 8 to the starting chain. Wishing you the best with the Tree of Life Throw.
@@BonnieBayCrochet Thank You
Hi love all your blankets do you have a video on right hand love to make it I made the granny ripple 2 blankets love it
Yep, right here: czcams.com/video/xBtj05eAHYM/video.html
if you would want to make the starburst baby blanket bigger how would you go to do that to make the chain longer increments of how many chains
I'm sorry Bonnie I did take the time to scroll down through the questions and replies I finally found my answer way down at the bottom of my text area I now know it is in multiples of 8 thank you so much
I absolutely love your videos! Do you have a pattern to make a baby blanket with the Bernat super bulky (6)? I became a grandma in March and I just can't find one that works
I don't have one specifically designed with this yarn, but I believe the continuous granny square blanket would work with this. Just upsize your hook to match your yarn: czcams.com/video/T-2865y_diI/video.html
Can you please tell me what the multiples would be if I wanted to make this blanket bigger?
You can add multiples of 8 to the existing starting chain to make this larger.
Great video, thank you. Do you have a pattern for that lovely poncho behind you?
Absolutely! The video tutorials start here: czcams.com/video/kDOGOaV8PVI/video.html
Is the multiples 5, if you want to make it bigger?
You can add multiples of 8 to the original starting chain to make this wider.
Wow
Still have not found the multiple for this pattern.
Thanks.
So sorry Nancy if you have been waiting on this. My inbox has been flooded these past couple of weeks and some of these are not showing up in my feed. If you add 8 chains to the foundation chain for each starburst you want to add to the width, you should be fine.
@@BonnieBayCrochet So the multiple is 8. Thanks for your help. Love this pattern.
@@nancytowers9088 Not exactly. You can add multiples of 8 to the existing starting chain.
How do I make this blanket a little bigger? What is the stitch multiple?
You can add multiples of 4 to the existing starting chain.
BonnieBayCrochet thank you so much 😍
Hi what are the multi if you want to make it bigger thank you
Just add multiples of 8 to the existing starting chain.
@@BonnieBayCrochet thank you your so good at instructing love your videos
Purchased the pattern, but it does not give the multiple.
Nancy Towers Thanks for your support! I believe I did include this information in the video should you want to make it wider. I could guess, but I’m away from home for a few more days. I definitely don’t want to give you the wrong info!
@@BonnieBayCrochet thanks for the reply. I will re watch the video.
Thanks for your patience Nancy!
Watched the video again and reviewed psttern and still did not see, or hear multiple, but think it may be 3 or 3+2?
@@nancytowers4094 I will have to get back to you once I get back into the US. I can only guess while I am away!
