With the Klipper fans growing and the shortage of Raspberry Pi boards, users are trying to find different solutions.
Meanwhile, some 3D printing manufacturers are making alternative solutions for the Raspberry Pi boards.
So, in this video, we will check one of Bigtreetech's solution, the BTT Pi version 1.2.

I have a cb1 and works really well. I ordered and now have one of these, too. It is much more practical than the cb1, unless you have a manta board...
It does not need any/much cooling. It stays between 45-60 celsius. (open air, not inside in a case/printer)
Thanks for this, actually helped me decide between an orange pi or btt pi, i chose the btt pi. do you have setup instructions for the adxl345 on the btt pi? i can't get mine to work.

I'm in the final part of configuring my V2.4r2. And this board came with my formbot kit. Needless to say I would've been a little lost otherwise.
THANK YOU!!!!! i installed it directly in my voron without realizing that it has a micro sd UNDER it (which is not shown in it's manual) I i kept trying to flash it with the usb port.
I love my BTT Pi, it works really good.

Great product but the mounting holes are not the same. Just take a look at it. One is square the other one is not, you can visually see the difference between when it shows the top view of each board - just a heads up in case you were planning on using an existing raspberry pi case to use this board.
can you install rasbian and OS on this like a normal pi?

Totally agree. But if somebody has a current project and can't wait for a real Pi to be available it's good to have this option.
If your goal is to use klipper then there is ample support for this board. If your goal is to use it for a generic purpose then it is running armbian and the armbian forums are very active with heaps of support.

Why do we have to remove the red bridge or Jumper??? Prevent power from getting from screw connector to USB C???
The long wire isn't the antenna right? It's the sticky pad? Do I need to worry about where it's mounted? e.g. far from the steppers, and not near the board? on or off the printer's metal frame?

One of the four mounting holes does not line up with the hole for the pi. This makes any mounting bracket or case designed for an actual rpi, unusable for the BTT pi.
Is it possible to just mount it with the 3 holes that do line up?
Would it be possible to download BTT firmware onto a raspberry pi 4b?

Just got one of these myself and got it working. Can you attach more than 1 printer to these? I assume you could but I haven’t worked out how to do yet.

I'm purchasing a voron 2.4 ldo kit and it wont come with a pi my question is can i use this as a direct replacement ill also be using a ERCF filament changer. or should i just bite the bullet and get a raspberry pi
Yes, this will do the trick for the LDO kit. Note that you can't run a DSI display from it though so you need to stick to the mini12864 or use an HDMI display.
This is what ships in the Formbot V0.2 kit.
What is the screen that the BTT Pi is connected to via HDMI? I was having trouble getting my SKR board to connect to the BTT TFt, so I wanted to use an HDMI screen.
What if ı forget to remove jumper before ı power it with 24V ?

does retropie or recalbox or similar linux-based operating systems work on it?
I don't think it would be viable. Less ram than what's usually on a raspberry pi. Don't see why you couldn't install a Linux desktop distro and go from there
Not to mention the slower cpu
What does this Pi actually do? It seems to me that all it does is install Klipper firmware to your printers main board? Isn’t there other ways to install the firmware. If it replaces a Raspberry Pi then does it run Octoprint because that’s all I ever used my Pi for as my Ender installs firmware directly from MicroSD? Is it an alternative to Octoprint?

In my opinion, it is unnecessary to install putty as you can simply use window's built in CMD / Terminal using the command:
ssh (username)@(ip)
e.g. ssh pi@192.168.x.x
this will boot u straight to the password input screen. I recommend using terminal and this allows u to avoid installing 1 additional software that arguably isn't as nice to use.
Hey rui the board is on sale really cheap with the biqu b1 and talks about a cloud service but cant we just put klipper on biqu b1 and make it faster?

I also need it, a few weeks ago I bought a btt pi and successfully installed klipper, but when I tried installing the mellow version of adxl345, it couldn't work on the spi connector, and also got the error: invalid ff x e5 , etc

@@ruiraptorEntretanto já consegui resolver o problema. Estava a descarregar o ficheiro config da placa, mas tive que alterar o nome dele para "printer.cfg" para o mainsale o conseguir ler! Acho que agora já devo conseguir acabar a instalação XD
Veja no topo do ficheiro .cfg as instruções para esses settings:

No entanto, não consigo encontrar o ficheiro "out/klipper.bin". Mesmo no video, não encontro esse diretorio de "home/pi/klipper/out", mesmo pesquisando com a pesquisa Windows :/
