I was septic from a bladder infection i had no idea i had. 104 to 106°F for over nine day's. A plethora of pain and misery. I know how sepsis feels. I did not loose any limbs. I still feel some lingering affects.

Thank you I've opened my eyes to the sadness in my life at the moment I suffer from chronic rheumatoid arthritis my best friend of 40 year died 10 months ago my husband of 22 year died 4 months ago im sat here angry sad alone hurting full of morphine and other mess and I come across you with this big smile on your face and you know what your right maybe these things happen for a reason I don't know what yet but I'm going to give myself a shake phone my children and take what like throws at me but I'm going to keep smiling because there's always someone else going through something could be not as bad as me or worse than me but were all the same we all have to make the best of what we're left with.thank you and I wish you all the best❤

U have ur family ,kids to take carenof u..ND finance...iam a ch r.a patient,with all other issues like going to become blind,quadriplegic,fractures,glaucoma,optic neuritis due to chloroquine,crippling r.a...no one to take care..no finance,.going to become bed ridden,with many problems with mentally disturbed 40 yrs sons,no one to take care of home nd cook..literally no food,no washing clothes.mno cleaning house,climb steps at 70,clean utensils many..too many loans..God...no cook ,no food..house leaking to rains a lot...misery..no relatives nd no friends...husband 70 yrs ,estranged,he is too is ick with many illnesses.

Ohhh my! I can somehow relate to her. I had sepsis at one point too, it didn’t get to the point of amputation. Every time I hear sepsis, it always brings me back to my memory lane. It broke my heart to those who became an amputee but it inspire me their resilience!

I had a kidney infection that turned septic I couldn't breath blood pressure went really low one leg was already amputated before all this but it's really scary how a infection can turn septic my faith also got got me through all is this

I had a hysterectomy gone wrong so had to have a tube into my kidney for a urine bag it gave me infection got sepsis but thank the Lord it didn't go into septic shock because the 4 days in hospital on 24/7 IV was brutal. Praying for her 🙏

Of all the beautiful people we see in the world on our T.V.'s & on screen those... gorgeous models & celebrities, they all pale in comparison to this beautiful young women who has such a beautiful heart and soul and faith and love in God. Just when I wanted to go complain to God about what I didn't get or wanted in life, I see this women's story, her bravery thru this unbelievable challenge and am humbled to know from her sharing that I have nothing to complain to God about! I am so grateful for what I have and for this dear sister in Christ sharing her story. I will pray for her and for God's love and angels to surround her with strength and blessings as she walks her walk and inspires others.

Well now I’m deathly shaking right now because the top of one of my bottom back teeth has been broken for lord knows how long (most of the filling came out but still some on there) but I haven’t experienced any pain and last time I went to a dentist, they acted like it wasn’t that serious. But reading on what sepsis is & how it’ll kill you in a short period of time, is making me just want to have the back tooth pulled. I do floss, brush & mouthwash 2-3 times a day.
go now and have it pulled or repaired. lots of people get bacterial infections, go septic and die putting off the dentist. good oral hygiene wont help that problem but may help prevent it in the future.
I had a filling fall out and my tooth got an abscess. Suuuuuper painful. If there’s anyway to go now do it! I waited too long because of cost but somehow find a way.

Sepsis is no joke. If you're lucky like my husband was, you will have some outward sign that tips you off that you're in a real emergency. For him it started as a swelling above his elbow that grew, with our GP a block away sending him straight to the ER and in less than 90 mins he had a raging fever of 105. What really caused the sepsis was a blister on his heel. 2 months of intravenous antibiotics were prescribed, a smart decision. He was diabetic and a couple of years later an almost identical injury occurred. Under the care of a podiatrist (no sepsis this time) an infection began to start during the Christmas holiday. No Podiatrist on duty & no sub in his absence. The next day ER was visited and emergency surgery took place. If it hurts beyond normal, or is swollen, or you have even a low fever, don't wait, there are some very nasty microbes out there now.
