Just getting into cigars and had no idea what this was gonna bring me. I was in Nicaragua in 2012 for 2 weeks and never once did I think about cigars. I didn’t know. I will absolutely be making a trip back and this time it will be full of tobacco and coffee. Thank you AJ and Brian.

My experiences with AJ Fernandez' cigars have been amazing. I tried his cigars after seeing a full page ad in CA for his Punch blend, new at that time. He was looking right into the camera - no smugness, no ego, no bullshit. I decided then and there to smoke his cigars. I hope to meet him someday.

Not only is privada bringing us the best cigars in the industry, they're also bringing us the best cigar content hands down. Other factories are afraid their competition will steal their methods and have success, but AJ isn't afraid because he knows he's already the king and he has no competition. I smoke mostly AJ cigars because they are all delicious . each different cigar line is unique . how he blends the different types is amazing. these workers are amazing. when I smoke a cigar I realize the human effort put into this.

Thank you for the method behind the man; AJ earned and owns his space; I live in Napa CA and tire of the hype and marketing behind average wines; I know many fine vintners, growers and owners and those that succeed share AJ’s skill to demand control of each processes and stage of manufacture. For me, I need to respect the people/family behind the product, which is the patina that overlays the most satisfying experiences. Thank you AJ for the wonderful Cigars you make (they fill my humidors) but even more for your craft and that unique Nicaraguan taste that is yours. I do have one comment - Some of AJ’s New World (and others) I have smoked, the underside of the band appears to have AJ’s signature, I assume this is printed, however gave me a thrill when I noticed it. Never get sick of seeing anything AJ! To me he makes the best cigars regardless of price. If someone offered me a AJ or a Padron I would take the AJ. My favorite cigar of all time is AJ Fernandez Enclave Broadleaf. The most amazing thing about AJ is how he takes catalog brands like man o war, diesel and 5 Vegas triple a which obviously use cheaper tobacco but they all still taste and smoke beautiful, truly a unmatched man in tobacco.
You've got great taste! AJ Fernandez is undeniably a master of his craft, and his ability to create exceptional cigars across a wide range of brands is truly impressive.

no kidding I've learned more about the tobacco just from casually being in this club for the last few years than some people will ever know. I just find it all fascinating how much work goes into these delicious burning leaf sticks.
I haven't even read my copy of 'The Tobacconist Handbook' yet lol, I'll get around to it though.

Brother Brian! SO SO Exciting - I actually watched this twice in a row and felt compelled to comment again.
To my mind, the kind of professional relationship you're developing with AJ is reminiscent of the arrangement that Zino Davidoff and Alfred Dunhill made with Cubatabaco/Altadis back in the day - or even Hunters & Frankau & Mitchell Orchant over in the UK more recently (I spend a lot of time in England and continue to be fascinated by that historic and traditional market).
Anyway, it's clear that you're building something in keeping with the legendary status of the Dunhill/Davidoff-branded Cubans 50-100 years ago and it's been an absolute pleasure to be able to be a small part of it.

Some great stuff, awesome video, I was fortunate enough to go to the Fuente Factory twice as well as La Aurora but, Fuente blew my mind. They go to the end of earth to get their tobacco to perfection. They never rush the hands of time. It’s always fun when you get to experience different factories and how they do things.

I'm a big AJ fan and think his cigars are amongst the best out there. I've been smoking cigars for 30 plus years and the Bellas Artes Habano Toro is my all time favorite. And to date I've never had one that the construction, draw and flavor wasn't perfect.

I tried joining the club again ( too damn awesome not to), but I think I screwed something up, but I’ll be back in the fold in the next couple of weeks. PRIVADA is just special and game changing. Changing this whole thing around.
You can never go wrong with AJ. Never a burn issue or construction issue. Always flavorful and a great experience. I have a couple hundred sticks in my collection and a large portion has his name on them in one form or another whether it's his brands or a collaboration with the heritage brands. I've only been in cigars a little over a year and AJ was the first name I learned and the first one where I could try something new and immediately tell by the flavor that he did it before even looking it up to see who blended it.
