Going through a Sly-zone myself lately and wow was this what I needed to hear. I love how Daryl tackled the original backing vocal with pure tonal perfection. In today's world we need less haulin' oats and more Hall N Oates!

I was thrilled to find these videos!!:) This was 5 days before Live-Aid, and I was very fortunate to meet Daryl & John in NYC on July 9th 1985. :) It was very brief, but this Hall & Oates fan will never ever forget those 2 days in 1985!!
I saw em in their heyday. Oddly enough it was TERRIBLE. did a few medleys... partial songs and over in 50 min. One of the top worst of my life but I LOVE THESE GUYS. Lotta SNL band members.
On my front porch, glass of wine, in the middle of the night, playing this song. All I can hear is Daryl and the frogs. That's my summertime escape for the past two years. Love it!!!!! Btw, the lightening bugs also add to the show✨

So I live up here in Imperial Holler. Hard to believe someone who speaks like that has 3 college degrees. But here i am, sitting on my porch, midnight listening to Hall&Oates with my glass of wine. Dreading work tomorrow, but enjoying the moment with the “lightening bugs”🌜✨🍸🎹🎺🎸🎼🎧. Life is good😌

I just remembered, even after recycling all my VHS tapes, except family events, I kept my VHS tape of this concert (I recorded from HBO, not purchased). But glad to see it on You Tube. Need an MP3! Can't find one, so I'll have to make it myself. Saw H & O several times in the 80's but they never did this song at any of the shows I attended. Love it... Great times & memories

They did an excellent rendition of the Family Stone hit!!!I also love the version that was played in the video of it from Darry's house with Sharon Jones adding some nice soul to the tune...LOVE it!!!If I can find out what year this is from,I am sure that i can find me a copy of it on vhs or dvd...so far i have found other concerts very rare and hard to find....If i can just get the year of the concert and date I will rock the web to find it and will let you know my results...Thx 4 posting :-)

They are flawless live.Very rarely does a an artist/group sound as good as their studio recordings, even rarer that they sound better live.
