I have a 2021 traverse for my woman. Got it when it was 0% interest at the end of 2021. So needless to say we’re keeping it until it’s paid off. But man this new 2024 is slick looking. Very very nice outside appearance. Ours has treated us well no major issues has about 24k miles on it. Probably will switch to another brand when the time comes to upgrade just for something different but we will have to see. Great video as always. Thanks.
"...for my woman." ????
You have to get the RS for ventilated seats
I love the styling of these. They have nailed that down for sure. There’s a reason GM dominates the larger SUV segment and I think this Traverse is going to make huge gains.
BUT I’m not a fan at all of having to go through the touch screen to turn on the headlights or the heated seats. Not a fan. I guess that’s the way things are going but I hope for the trucks they don’t do that.
I like how customizable the screens are with how you can move information. That’s pretty cool. I’m also glad to see they still use 12 volt outlets. Hopefully that means the 2024+ HDs get them back with the refresh interior.
Travese is nice, though I brought my wife the 24 Explorer. She loves it
The Explorer is one of the very least reliable vehicles you can buy today (see Consumer Reports)
Maybe that's why he got it for her.....@trumpisastump9382
Don't believe consumer reports they are prejudiced against ford so is jd power it's a bunch of bullshit I know a few people who own explorers and have no problems with them
Looks great, looking forward to seeing the off road reviews… but why do they put leather in a more off road slanted SUV, I want some durable cloth lol
Is there button to open the garage door ?
Those aren't leather seats. It's EVOTEX 1:12 which is GM's own version of vinyl.
I wonder why they didn't use the same engine that is in the Colorado with much better torque numbers.
It’s odd, I would think it would cost more to develop two very similar engines… maybe the tq the L3B has requires it to be more overbuilt compared to this new one which saves GM on the cost to build it
The 2.7 is rwd based, not transverse mounted
The 2.5l is based on the same platform as the 2.7l found in the trucks. Think of it like how the 4.6l was the smaller version of the 5.3
They discontinued the midrange 2.7 for 2024
5:11 Hints of Kia/Hyundai
That payload is about the same as my 2021 z71 Tahoe. Impressive
Looks like Toyota Fortuner in Asian Market
Gray gray and more gray. Seens to be a thing now days
Agreed, everyone and their mom has "charcoal grey" or "primer grey"
I would buy the hybrid Grand Highlander instead.
Thanks for checking in with us. We were all wondering what you would purchase.
Overland grand cherokee is still better , I give to chevy as I love the traverse line up, just wish they threw a few more options to meet others , like adjustable air ride height, cooled seats, minimal V6
I was shocked by the missing cooled seats but it still checks a lot of boxes
Adjustable air suspension is cool until you've got over 50k miles...then its quickly a nightmare!
@@mikeworkman175970 on our Overland. Works great. Haven't seen many writeups on air suspension to be honest.
This isnt a cherokee killer by any stretch of the imagination. Jeep has the offroad system market cornered, towing capacity, and niceties. The traverse will always be the value leader, but it doesnt lead in any particular aspect of the vehicle. Its the geo metro of the three row crowd. It does beat out the explorer third row. Shame on Ford for jamming that third row in there. Horrible space to be.
If/when the GCL grts the hurricane, then I dont see why youd get anything else.
Looked at the GCL in person…. Space behind 3rd row is useless. And the 3rd row is tight. The Traverse just dominates in available space. I went 2 row JGC for 1 vehicle and probably getting a Traverse for our 2nd vehicle.
@@brandonharding1199 we compared all these SUVs so we know exactly what they do and don't fit. Wife's wheelchair fits behind third row just fine in the gcl and I routinely sit in the third row at 6-3 and it's not cramped. The traverse was incrementally spacious on paper but it doesn't play out to begame changing in real world. The biggest thing was even though the traverse was more value oriented, it felt way too low rent in the materials. We went Overland. Easy decision.
@@brandonharding1199 You want a cramped third row, go check out the explorer. WTF happened to that SUV? Useless seat is an understatement
@@chadd587overland JGC is pretty luxurious and also more expensive. Glad you found something that works for your family. At least we have decent options to choose from among the various brands.
No front ventilated seats 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
At4 Acadia is what you have to get
They should of kept v6 and offered a ss version with ct4v motor
That would be awesome but a more powerful Traverse doesn’t sound appealing especially at $80k+
