    About Section:
In this video, we will discuss how Miyamoto Musashi conquered anxiety and how we can also do the same, learning from his perspective, teachings, actions, and life. We will discuss the Book of Five Rings, dokkodo, and his philosophy, and also share a personal story on how CZcams made my anxiety go through the roof. With Musashi's help, I finally got a better perspective on things.

If one antecipates and prepares for the challenge ahead, of course one reduces anxiety. But anxiety usually happens when things, being dynamic as they are, "change" whatever you've been preparing to. You can prepare deeply for your trip, but is the "road block ahead, detour here" sign that causes you anxiety. Word of advice, when anxious: get tired physically. Run until you run out of breath. An already racing heart cannot run anxious, because it "can't run 2 races", and you rebalance yourself. Works miracles for me.

Now I take my time and don't play the algorithm game, my art is steadily improving as I focus on the process more, I enjoy it more and whatever I produce is going to be better as a result.

This was very insightful. I used to also look at anxiety as an enemy to be defeated. Now I have a different perspective. Anxiety is just an internal alarm, evolved to warn us of danger. An alarm is a good thing because it can keep us safe. Therefore, I don't look to disconnect the alarm, nor do I ignore it, like many would suggest. I rely on that alarm for protection, just like I wouldn't take the batteries out of my fire alarm or just ignore it when it sounds. What if there's a real fire and I don't notice it and respond in time? It's telling you there's something you need to look at, and maybe that's what you should do. "Stupid anxiety won't shut up about finals tomorrow. Go away anxiety!" No, you're anxious because you haven't studied. However, sometimes alarms can be overly sensitive and/or produce false alarms, often through faulty programming. So it's important to gauge whether the alarm needs adjusting. Maybe my burglar alarm is too sensitive and goes off every time a strong breeze hits the window. I know the sensor needs addressing. So too, if my internal alarms are going off needlessly, I should dial back the sensors. I do this through exposure therapy and cognitive reframing. "Oh, I spoke in front of the crowd WITHOUT making a fool of myself. In fact, everyone applauded. That's not a situation to fear and avoid." Over time, the anxiety is lessened or no longer arises at all. And if it does, I'm able to silence it effectively because I KNOW through experience it's a false alarm and I'm not just telling myself that to avoid a crappy feeling. The anxiety of having anxiety is usually worse than the anxiety of the situation itself. And that will persist as long as you continue to view anxiety as a foe. Reframe that, be grateful for your anxiety device, but say "Thank you, but I don't need you right now" when appropriate.

I interpret “if you know the way broadly you will see it in everything” has having a certain level of self understanding a having values that you deeply connect with, that aren’t just things imposed to you as right and wrong, but things you understand deeply and intuitively. If you have that a lot of your decisions become easy and intuitive, they are no longer a internal battle between your ego, your insecurities and your higher self and so you don’t need to rationalize as much and you can perform
in a flow like way without getting in your own way. But yeh, that’s just what I got from that sentence, and considering his origins would make sense for Taoist and Buddhist ways such as these to be applied here.

    Body and mind are one.
Anxiety shows up as a feeling in your body, that may or may not contain thought information.
To heal the mind, heal the body.
Healing the body means becoming one with the body.
Sink your mind into your body, like water filling a sponge.
    Be present. Now.
Open your spine. Open all your joints.
This allows you to go deeper into your body.
Feel your energy and be one with it.
Be mindful without judgement. Let go of the inner critic and commentator.
Merge with the present moment in stillness.
In this stillness allow your emotions to express themselves.
    Feel them. Release them.
Ask yourself: What do I really feel?
    Feel the root cause. Now.
Relax deeper and fully feel the emotion in your body without labeling it.
    Release. Let go.
Fill up the place of the emotion in the body with the love you truly are.
    And smile.
That’s one powerful way to change the inner world, which we use in qigong. 😊
Btw you can release anger by laughing! All emotions are the same underlying energy.

It's right anxiety and thinking about past is distracting us from living in the present moment
And this could lead us to complete useless things and waiting our time and life

All, if you haven't read Vagabond you should. It is a manga about Musashi's life and his growth from being a man obsessed with being the strongest, who is filled with bloodlust, to being enlightened and kind.

Anxiety and being inauthentic is highly connected. Authenticity means being in truth. It's not about believing or personal truths but the objectives truth itself. True happiness lies in the true religion.

Some of this really good advice and some seems to be based on CBT techniques that actually increase anxiety. Preparation is important, but not at expense of the present moment. Endless preparation is about fear of failure and could mean the fear is still in control. Balance in all things :)

It took me far too long to beat anxiety
But it was something that i probably could've conquered in my 20s with the right guidance
You'd think 5 different therapists, 3 doctors, and 1 nurse practitioner who Loved to use that prescription pad would've got it done but it was me, on my own, drug free in my 40s
    Decades of suffering.

I have suffered from anxiety for years. It usually comes when travelling in cars,I feel like I can’t swallow and I’m going to choke, it’s an overall feeling of doom and I can’t breathe. I can’t drive because of it, it’s crippling.

I've had numerous opportunities in my life, such as language learning courses, a good education, and ample time. However, I chose to remain in my comfort zone because everyone kept saying, "You are smart", "You speaky very well", "You learn things quickly", and so on. While these statements are true, they didn't contribute significantly to improving aspects of my life. Presently, I'm studying Computer Science, and I'm facing the same challenge. I've observed my friends and classmates progressing in their lives while I feel stuck, leading to heightened anxiety.
I'm learning to manage this anxiety and focus more on the present, letting go of worries bout future results and regrets. My advice is: don't fixate on reaching your goal within a specific timeframe, instead, concentrate on moving in the right direction. Thanks to the Statue of Wisdom for the insightful tips and content. Sending hugs from Brazil! I wish you success in your life. Goodbye.

There’s more philosophy on that concept of misleading young people into thinking they’re smart enough, that improvement is no longer necessary. But that’s always a lie.
Look up the term “Dunning-Kruger effect” and what causes it, as well as the opposite effect, called “Imposter Syndrome”. Balance between the two is where I recommend people to be.

Hi man, great content, really great. One feedback from me, I think it would be better to use less character imageries. I think if you make it simpler but not too much and clean, it would make me more focused on what you have to say. Keep up the good work. Perhaps you can implement this feedback and test it to your peers and see which one is better.

Anxiety is easy to understand. It's your mind telling you something is wrong. You probably know what it is deep inside you just avoid it. That's anxiety.
