    My subscription usually alerts me to show reports. This content was a gift. I can identify on so many levels. Thanks for sharing guys. Addiction and trauma manifest in so many different ways in so many people. Whether it is narcotics, alcohol, shopping, food, sex, relationships, porn, gambling, the internet, social media or other things, the results are always the same. It is a vast and desolate emptiness that only recovery can fill. The more people are educated about the disease of addiction the better. It was really touching gaining a cross-generational perspective on the impact of addiction and the joys of recovery. Thank you.

    the need for professional psychological help is necessary for healing from trauma and drug addiction, one begins the other. with or without 12 Step. Trauma can be recognised and habits reprogrammed. it works.

    It's a shame that the interviewer talked about himself constantly! It was almost embarrassing as Sonny Hall tried to interject to speak and was talked over by Fat tony. Hr seriously needs to work on his interviewing skills! Sonny Hall is amazing, his poetry is beautiful, a real inspiring artist. Hopefully he will do more interviews, perhaps with competent interviewers next time! :)

    • @elipedraza1222
      @elipedraza1222 Před 3 lety +2

      I actually didn't mind it too much, it felt more like the interviewer was connecting through his own examples. It seemed more like a conversation bewtween friends sharing stories, and giving his side of things, which coming from an older person who has been clean for a long time is super valuable :)

  • @lucimcmanus1469

      Both androgynous to look at (or at least Edward Furlong certainly was during his youth), both battled addiction issues, so you can definitely draw parallels between the two.

      Daniel Carry I hear you. Some people aren’t as articulate as others. He’s thinking ahead of the question and clearly unsettled by the environment. Talking about addiction at 20. Can’t imagine

    • @christina5009
      @christina5009 Před 8 měsíci +1

      I know I'm 4 years late but wanted to address this anyway. This lad was 12 when he started using substances. He is talking and behaving now as he and his substance mates did while he was growing up. This acquired way of talking/body language etc is embedded in him- like an accent or your handwriting is to you or me. This probably wouldn't have happened if he was older when he started.

    A poet needs to know about life, how can you know anything about life at 22? It just smells phony to me
