@lynn burris I could not get my hands on the Sky Eye set this past week after they restocked, (my fault since I did not check before they sold out). While I wait for the next re-stock, I purchased some single Sonia G. brushes from her collection with the red handles (Crease 2, Crease Pro, Worker Pro, and Builder Pro, (Blender Pro sold out) & two Wayne Goss brushes #06 blender & #17 Crease to try both brands and hold me over until next re-stock. Did you purchase the full sets from Wayne Goss (The Eye Set) and Sonia G (eyes), or did you buy individual brushes since both sets are still sold out? I would am very interested in knowing since I also have some hooding and there are times my lids will look less youthful depending on my overall hydration levels (too much caffeine and not enough water + lack of proper sleep). I just received my Beautylish order Thursday, I am in love with the brushes I purchased from both the Sonia G. and WG lines. I found the application time and the difference in how my eye look came out using the same products, just changing my brushes was like night and day compared to the finished look with my other brushes (various brands). Like you, I also have some hooding and am very interested in the Sky Eye or the Wayne Goss Eye set, especially after reading reliable reviews and watching comparison videos between the first and second set (Sonia G Sky Eye), and learning the benefits of the new set and how they can supplement her other brushes. If you would not mind letting me know if you were able to get the Sky Eye set since your original post here and sharing your thoughts on them, I would really appreciate it. 😊 🥰 Lynn

I laughed at your final decision on Sky vs Pro but yes, that is exactly it, you nailed it!!!! some wonder which one they should go for and it's totally understandable... so similar and yet quite different... the Pro set is basically going to reduce the working time (more strength, more decisive brushes), the Sky is going to reduce the effort or struggles we may experience on a daily basis... however, since we are all different, unique, with our very own techniques and preferences, at the end it really is a personal preference on the shapes and on the functionality of each brush. I couldn't thank you enough for this review, I sure did enjoy it and it's so exciting to see you using the brushes, you know I love and admire you so this is an absolute dream!! thank you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I am getting these for Christmas!!! My first Sonia G brushes! Between Alicia, Michele and You Mel...I was sold before you even reviewed them. I couldn't makeup my mind which eye brushes to get but figured after I saw that mini booster this was the one! Hubs preordered them for me yesterday and beautylish CS is SO wonderful they walked him through the whole process and even split it up in payments. Dave from CS told him if he EVER needed help with gifts again for 'wifey' to call them anytime.
I hope she make these permanent like the other eye set. So I can have time to get them. I love her brushes!! I just don't have it right now to get it. Thank you for reviewing mel I try so hard to do my eye makeup like yours I have to keep practicing.
I really like the shape of these brushes. Usually her brushes are more pinched or flat & these are fluffier & somewhat rounder at the head which is my preference for crease brushes. The size is perfect too since I already have my prefect brushes for laying down my transition & crease shades from Esum but don't have any natural hair detail brushes. What a beautiful set 🤩
These brushes look so nice. I’ve never tried Sonia G, but I love natural hair brushes more than synthetic. I just find that natural hair brushes blow out shadows better for me but I still do use synthetic brushes. 💙💙💙

I totally agree...I have mature hooded eyes and I love the Sky Eye Set! The Mini Booster is perfect for precise placement in my outer corner and blending into my crease without losing definition. Also the small shader for defining my lash line without losing lid space...love it! Now that being said I wouldn't trade any of my Sonia G brushes! I love them all but this set is perfect for mature and/or hooded eyes.
Hello Mel I'm enjoying your video on the Sonia G brushes oh my goodness I love brushes that are dance and are able to blend out the eyeshadow without any problem I do not like flimsy loose brushes because they just mess up my look where they don't blend evenly so girl I love your brushes I think you did a wonderful job creating your look with these brushes so anyways have a blessed night I'll see you in the next video love you girl

I love this review as I am ALWAYS trying to find good brushes but many times don’t know the best way to use them. I mean I use them the best for me but love the tutorials and examples. I must get this set... the one brush for the lid and then move into the crease... that will make my morning work so much easier!!! Thank you as always!!!

Hi Mel is really like to know your stance when it comes to the sourcing of these natural hair brushes. I haven't found anything saying they're cruelty free. Do you have any thoughts on that or does it not matter to you?
It’s hard to really explain my thoughts clearly through a text. I won’t say that it doesn’t matter to me, but I will say that I do prefer natural hair brushes. I’m not sure how these hairs are sourced.... but other brushes like Wayne goss’s are cruelty free while still being natural hair. It all depends on how far you take the term cruelty free. Again, it’s hard to really explain my thoughts via a text. I’m sorry I can’t give you a cut and dry answer ❤️

Personally I wish human vanity had nothing to do with animals in any capacity but at this point it's really hard to separate things, so I appreciate your honesty
@@shandysawh3071 Okay, this might be weird or odd. But I saved some of my daughters hair from her haircut wondering if it could be used to make a brush. I am not sure how human hair would work or if it would but that might? possibly be an option in the future. I thought some cultures make brushes out of baby hair.
@@ladyesther the issue is being able to pack the brushes tightly enough and shave rather than cut the hair so that the tips are soft. Human hair generally is also thicker than animal hair. So it can be done but it is not without it's challenges.
Thank you so much for the hooded/older eyes decision at the end!!! I'm still struggling between the new Sonia G or a Wayne Goss set though. I use 3 of Wayne's brushes now & I love them. They truly do make a HUGE difference in application (though people like to say expensive brushes don't do a better job). Help!!!!!

Cool! It's neat to see some beauty videos about beauty tools! There's more to putting on makeup than just seeing the makeup in the pan, or on swatches. I love to hear about "techniques" for different looks, or techniques using different brushes. The "secrets" you picked up which help you look like a professional and set you apart from every day moms attempting to do makeup. ;)

Hi Mel, Congratulations on the PR 🎉, and thank you for this detailed video! I can't wait for these brushes. I have been slowly collecting the Sonia G brushes; I have all but one now and I have enjoyed these brushes immensely. They are truly game-changing when it comes to make-up application. The mini booster brush looks so amazing - I can use 10 of them too! I have 'more mature', hooded eyelids and this brush looks like perfection! Btw, I've never paid close attention before; you have the most beautiful, graceful hands! 💖 I think it's too difficult to make brush set recommendations with Sonia G brushes. I love the original face and eye sets - I call these her masterpiece brushes. The Pro eye set is more standard, but also unique (if that makes sense), and this new Sky eye set is also another must have set. I would say, people need to start with one set and, when possible, get the other sets. They are all amazing!!✨🎆🎊 Thanks again for your review and all your hard work; you are awesome! The animals aren't harmed in any way when getting the hairs though. I don't think sonia would make these brushes knowing that animals would be hurt

@@ladyesther the issue is being able to pack the brushes tightly enough and shave rather than cut the hair so that the tips are soft. Human hair generally is also thicker than animal hair. So it can be done but it is not without it's challenges.
Thank you so much for the hooded/older eyes decision at the end!!! I'm still struggling between the new Sonia G or a Wayne Goss set though. I use 3 of Wayne's brushes now & I love them. They truly do make a HUGE difference in application (though people like to say expensive brushes don't do a better job). Help!!!!!

Cool! It's neat to see some beauty videos about beauty tools! There's more to putting on makeup than just seeing the makeup in the pan, or on swatches. I love to hear about "techniques" for different looks, or techniques using different brushes. The "secrets" you picked up which help you look like a professional and set you apart from every day moms attempting to do makeup. ;)

I’m waiting to be notified so I can get these, I love her last eye set, I use them everyday and these even look better for my smaller eyes, plus that Blue is beautiful.😘💙💙💙

Hi Mel, Congratulations on the PR 🎉, and thank you for this detailed video! I can't wait for these brushes. I have been slowly collecting the Sonia G brushes; I have all but one now and I have enjoyed these brushes immensely. They are truly game-changing when it comes to make-up application. The mini booster brush looks so amazing - I can use 10 of them too! I have 'more mature', hooded eyelids and this brush looks like perfection!
Btw, I've never paid close attention before; you have the most beautiful, graceful hands! 💖
I think it's too difficult to make brush set recommendations with Sonia G brushes. I love the original face and eye sets - I call these her masterpiece brushes. The Pro eye set is more standard, but also unique (if that makes sense), and this new Sky eye set is also another must have set. I would say, people need to start with one set and, when possible, get the other sets. They are all amazing!!✨🎆🎊

The squirrel hair brushes from WG are great! And then i would do the sky from SG.
Monica Maria 💗Mel's definitely on point! 👌🏻 I own Wayne's Squirrel eye brushes as well as Sonia's Pro Eye Set, the new Sky Eye brushes seem to be a little more Refined with their Shapes/Sizes which would especially be Nice for hooded/smaller eyes

Nice review! I always wonder if they should be used w/ cream shadows or eyeliner? These look very nice for mature eyes. Love these types of brushes. Lovely collection.
