  • Today I'm showing a few examples of how to use thrifted picture frames and free printable graphics from the Graphics Fairy to make inexpensive cottage decor. I'll also show you how I distressed a large frame to create a classic cottage look for beautiful art. I used chalk paint to update a few pieces of pewter and repainted a rocking horse for more cute shabby chic decor. I unboxed my new order from Iron Orchid Designs and will be using those supplies in upcoming videos.
    Supplies:
Iron Orchid Designs can be found at www.ironorchiddesigns.com/locations
I used La Campagne stamps in today's video creations and unboxed the new Veranda stamp set.

I think your videos are great! I am disabled and sick a lot so I watch a lot of videos. Yours are as good as or better than many that I watch on a regular basis. Your sweet voice and demeanor are very relaxing and I love watching your crafts. You come up with great ideas and I love watching!

I don't comment a lot but I so want to help your channel. I love all of your projects. And I love that you distressed back that frame at the end. That did definitely make it look better. Love your channel and I'm so glad I found it!

Your videos are wonderful. I think the main thing to get your videos out there is consistency in uploading. (Such as once a week, which you may already be doing.) Asking your viewers to comment might help too. That tells YT to push your videos.
I love the length of your videos and your instructions are clear and easy to follow. Hang in there!

I have no idea why your numbers are low. I love your work! I think I found you on one thrift flip road trip (or something like that). Join more? Collaborate with Unicorn Dust Designs, Farm Fresh Designs, Our Greene Acres, Our Shabby Cottage, etc? You are amazing

Theresa, thank you so much for saying that, it means a lot. The CZcams algorithm has not been my friend. I had been getting only 200 or so views per video so for the last 6-8 weeks I have been putting my video links on about a dozen Facebook group pages every week to encourage people to watch. That has brought my views up from about 200 per video to about 1,800 per video. That has also helped my subscribers grow from 1,700 to almost 2,500 now. The FB thing was a suggestion of Myra from Farm Fresh Designs. She’s been a Godsend! I have considered asking some of the channels to collaborate but they may not be interested until I have a bigger following. I should probably ask anyways. 😉 Thank you so much for your encouraging words. It has been quite a struggle to make headway. 🙏🌹❣️

The picture frame with the sheep image - would have been a great opportunity to use dark wax and make all those beautiful frame details pop. Enjoyed your video, thank you for all you do. :)

Joined you do beautiful work. I can’t speak for others but I think doing voice overs seems just too stuffy to listen to. I really enjoy listening to the person discuss what they are doing and not sound so scripted. It just sounds more personal. I realize it still has to be edited down since we all know it takes much longer to complete projects but for my taste I enjoy the unscripted version

Thank you so much Dorothy. I appreciate that feedback. It’s not my favorite thing to do but my next video is painting a piece of furniture so I had to be in it for a bit. I guess I will get used to that over time… It goes with the territory as they say. Thanks again! ❣️
