Safety Note: 0:46 To safely open the BSA glass ampule without cutting your finger use a 1000 microliter (1 ml) pipette tip which fits perfectly over the ampule) then break off the top without slicing your finger (I've seen it happen)

    Hello.
I was going to use the Pierce BCA Protein Assay Kit which includes Albumin Standard Ampules, (2 mg/mL, 10 x 1 mL). The ampules are stored at room temperature (as suggested by the data sheet). Upon receiving the kit, i do not pay enough attention to the ampules, however, a few days later, when i was gonna use it, i was able to see some particles (like fluff). Ampules have not been opened yet
Are those particles fungus , BSA crystals or some precipitate of the compounds?.
The ampules contains BSA 2 mg/mL in 0.9% saline and 0.05% sodium azide.
I also looked up for certificate of analysis and says the following: " visual: Clear, colorless to slightly yellow liquid."
Certificates of Analysis of BSA Pre-Diluted Set that is sterile filtered (other product from the same company) says " viual: Clear, colorless to slightly yellow liquid, FREE PARTICLES"
Is my commercial BSA solution contaminated or normal particles?. Available from: www.researchgate.net/post/Is_my_commercial_BSA_solution_contaminated_or_normal_particles [accessed May 12, 2015].

Please can you tell me what is in the blank is it working reagent and water or working reagent only or water only?

Blank is the buffer in which your proteins are diluted. In my case I extracted my protein from cell with RIPA buffer, so only RIPA buffer is my blank
