HI Kim buddy,, thanks for the shout back,, I really appreciate it,, Man you got a lot going on there on the bench,,so Glad to see you back,, I know how life can get in the way of modeling lol,, thanks for the great video My friend,,, later Glen
Oh, man, that stinks about the clear coat. The Chevy pick up was really looking nice too. Sure hope that you get them both sorted out.
I don't have a CZcams channel, but I'm building the Coca-Cola Holiday Van. I'm waiting to paint it now. I'm hoping to add lights to it so it looks like the old Coca-Cola Christmas commercials.
Nice update video Kim.....
Live definitely gets in the way. Oh my! I hate when clearcoat does that. Dang. We've definitely all been there. I love that '57 kit. Cool idea for the Impala. I hope you get to finish it someday. I think you have a few Christmas build off participants. We'll see how things go and I might jump onboard. I was building Santa's Hot Rod and I never finished. Be well, Kim.
Thank you very much Rob, I appriciate it :-)
Great updates on you and your builds. Finding a clear that actually works is hard. Decals are the worst in turning the clear into junk. I struggle with that too. Take care!!
Great video Kim. We all have paint issues.
Love the Wagon Rods Chassis and suspension. It's the only airbag suspension in kit form that I'm aware of??? Love old School Monogram kits To!!!! Interesting paint on the Impala. I've seen a 60 delivery in the group build. I'll be watching
Thanks for the trade Kim. I'm looking forward to build the Wagon Rod 🙂
I`m looking foreward to seeing it build, and I say thanks for the trade also :-)
I hate it when that happens. I have been buying lots of Testors Lacquer paints and their wet look clear and since I haven’t had any of these issues.
Hey Kim. That's why I only use Pledge Revive it acrylic floor finish. I have never had this problem since using it and I like the finish. Watch HPI guys on the subject. Hang in there buddy!!
We can not get floor pledge here in DK :(
I hate it when the clear coat causes issues. Just had something similar happen on the USACC GB. I found it to be the Clear I was using. Life definitely gets in the way of our hobbies! Love the idea on the Impala. You can call it the "Improve-ala". I had planned on doing the GB when the time gets closer.
Thanks buddy. The Improve-ala... Great name :-D
Hi Kim, don't feel too down about your build off. I think maybe because there is so much going on right now with GB's and it's a bit early maybe for people to start thinking about the end of the year when it's a season specific subject. I stood out of all group builds after the big USACC Plymouth, just because it was very early on in my CZcams journey (and still is). I've just joined the street machine one but will have it done within a month or I'll get bored. I think if you just start really plugging it again in September/October time you'll get loads of people joining because they're starting to get excited about Christmas too 😊 it's a great idea for seasonal subject you put out there... You'll see it will become a very popular GB so get back to being enthusiastic about it and also into your usual seasonal spirit 🙂 great video anyways with some really cool projects, looking forward to updates!
Yeah, I can see that there are actually several builders who joined. For some reason I did´nt see there videoes pop up. But it will be good. I know it was early to announce it, but at least, the people can not claim that they dont have enough time :-D
Hopefully, you can get the issue with the clear worked out. We all have paint issues. I know nothing about the paint products you are using, so I’m no help. Thanks for sharing.
Well, I thought I did as I allways do, but maybe I laid it to heavy... I dont know.... I`ll just have to sand it and try again :-D
Thanks buddy :-)
Nice kits you got there, love to see them finished up some day. That's some wild four panel paint scheme on that 64 Impala. I've built 3 of those AMT 64's. Nicebody but promo everything else with the metal axles especially through the engine block.☹️
Yeah, its a bummer with those older kits....
I'm in, I have a presentation video, and I have an idea and a Christmas theme planned.
Thanks Joe, I appriciate it :-D
Every time I have had that happen is either it was rustoleum or I laid the clear on too heavy brother. Great video brother! Good to hear from you.
Thanks brother. I probably laid it too heavy... But then again, I think I did the same as I allways does...
@Kims Kustomgarage your welcome brother
Great updates, brother 😊✌️
bummer on the dart, i hope 2nd time is much better result, i love them chevy trucks and hope you get to finish it up as you want it to be looking, good trade for the 57 chevy too, nice kits indeed. as for the impala, man, i like the idea a lot, i think it takes a lot of talent to know what a 6 year olds 1st build looks like compared to an experienced builders, and it breaks all the rules you have taught yourself not to do, which makes it a great challenge to try n do, the 64 impala has been reissued enough times to find a new one easily enough so i say finish it as best ya can, as for teh chassis of it, my most recent build shows how i took out the single piece and made all new stuff for it, rear and front suspension, i know you can do it, as for the kimsmas group build, i am in on it for sure, just havent gotten far enough along in deciding what to build, i do know i want to do a show rod rather then a muscle car, because show rods carry a theme throughout the car, i do not know what one i want to start with but i do know i will be finished with it in time no matter what, and i also know many of my circle of friends have mentioned it but obviously have not made a video for it yet, for many of us we just got out of winter snow and dont wanna think about it again till october, brrrrr, shivers, LOL. personally i am still looking forward to the walk through of show rod stuff you have planned for upcoming video, so i will be around and super looking forward to seeing what you come out with next
Thanks buddy :-)
Well, about the Impala, I actually think I will finish it that way anyway. As you mention I can allways get another. Its not like they are rare....
And about the show rod video, I will have my buddy Erik in the video too, but he is very busy during the summer, as a chief sound engineer for several bands on tour...
But it WILL come at some point :-)
Good to see you kims 😎
Thanks for the bench update Kim. Good to hear from you 😊. Look forward to your upcoming builds. BTY, what's the name of your paranormal team and how do we check it out? Take care, stay safe. ✝️😁
Thank you Scott, I appriciate it. My team is called Dansk Parapsykologisk Aspekt, or in short DPA. We have a website: www.paraweb.dk but of course its in danish. "Undersøgelser" means investigations, so you can check that out.
Its a brand new website, so not so much on it yet, more will be added regularly :-)
I hardly ever do a clear coat. I just polish the finish with NOVUS #2 fine scratch remover.
I allways do clear coat :-D
Nice kits I would be trying to get one in for the groups build having motivation issues.
Hey Kim,you are wrong about your Cristmas Group build. You already got 3 guys who put out an entry video: Jabz Hobbies + mike's modelshop + Franky_P and there are a lot more guys who are Interested. Maybe you should use a hastag for the group build?
You are right Franky, and thanks buddy. I found out that there were actually several videos. I have no clue as to why I did not see them anywhere.....
I had two this week for different reasons Kim. It's a terrible feeling! I finally uploaded my Christmas build video yesterday. I couldn't decide which way I wanted to go so some family members helped me decide. I did see someone else do a video. czcams.com/video/hnZeHcTnGak/video.html
Here's the link to my video!
Thank you Mike I appriciate it buddy :-)
I would like to join your christmas group build but I do not have a youtube channel yet
Then you just go to our FB page, the link is underneath all of my videos :-)
