    The trick to getting the most out of this GPU is to lower the resolution. Performance is greatly increased at 720p.

      @@rewernan Yes and no.. the trick to this GPU is to shoot for lock stable 30 or 60 FPS framerates. Using custom resolutions, image sharpening, FXAA and a mixture of setting can get some great results. What good is having high resolutions if the game world is sparse or the frame rates are inconsistent. This GPU may lack the ram, but with some optimizations it can get results around a Xbox One / PS4.

      May be damaged thermal copper pipe. Try to check it just by finger. Check on working laptop, run some game, and put finger on plate on CPU, than GPU, than on pipe near the fan. Be careful it will be very hot.

    • @LaptopsIngameBenchmark
      @LaptopsIngameBenchmark  Před 4 lety

      So plate/pipe should be very hot everywhere. If it`s not hot near the pipe, but hot near CPU/GPU, so pipe is damaged and you need to change whole cooling. If it`s not hot near CPU/GPU so no heat distribution from chip to plate/pipe

      @@LaptopsIngameBenchmark Finally I ve managed to understand what cause this nightmare. A very rare situation tbh, I dont have all the facts yet but, it seems RAM's caused the overheating, I have 2 slots with 4/8 gb and after switching slots and let singular RAM going, one of my ram slots is broken, altough until now it shows in good condition and apart of this, 8gb ram is faulty too since with only it running keyboard starts to overheat again. Is a very rare situation, less often RAM can cause overheating but in my case definetly was the cause. I ve already bought an MSI GF75 so my old asus will end up in the garbage bin. You can install speccy, cpu-z (do a stress test and press submit, your browser will open up with the results, including the temperature) or gpu-z (this program allows you to watch the temp of your i7 and your graphics card up to a minute ago, it is helpful when gpu-z is running in the background, then you can check the results)

Unstable frame-rate benchmarking is nice when comparing GPUs, but it's not practical for actually playing the games.
