Playing in the Mud with Strip Till Unit!

- High ground-Low ground-and all the inbetween! A day strip tilling filled full of loading the montag cart with fertilizer, starting to use my headset endlessly, having a monkey hop up in the cab, and laughing at myself while I learn the battles of pulling the strip till rig through different soil types as the water levels continue to sky rocket here in Central MN trying to get some corn in the ground!

Sometimes I find that a 3” putty knife works better than a pet bar for cleaning mud. It’s lighter, thinner, and sharper. But the pry bar has its place for that too.

Hopefully you didn’t get as much rain as me. I got 4 inches since Friday night now I might drown out some of my crops. More rain forecasted throughout the rest of the week.

Look at that the sun was out and Kels guns were out lol 😆 and in the beginning there was an other lake lol we got to have a head set when we drive semi it’s a huge fine if you don’t and I keep one in the tractor also it’s handy got the blue patriot 450 and 550 I think

I’m 69 now, were you just applying fertilizer and not planting. The planters in my day had a fertilizer unit attached.
Hi! :) Awesome! With our strip till unit that is a frame of a John Deere, we have that to run across our future corn ground applying fert in the row banded and then we run across it a day later about, with the planter :)
